Personal Name: Houren Vanadis Age: 25 Gender: Male Class: Berserker Rank: D-rank Guild: Fairy Tail Tattoo: Center of his Back - White Face: Saber of Black - Fate/Apocrypha Appearance Height: 1.9m | 6'3" Weight: 86kg | 189lb Hair: Silver-grey Eyes: Verdant green Overall: Vanadis is a tall man of strong and firm build, with skin that can be described as having been ''stained brown'', in contrast to his silver-grey hair. From his appearance alone, even the dullest of minds would be able to guess that he is a warrior who shines brightest in the field of battle. Although his face is undeniably pleasing to the eyes; it is dissimilar to the noble knights of old, who's courteousness could melt the gentle hearts of the fairer sex whereas he is more comparable to a sharp featured sculpture carved from cool ice. He is young, but the wisdom and resolve of a man much older is reflected in Vanadis's daring gaze. Extra: - Personality Personality: He is a fierce combatant that strives for excellence in all aspects of life. As a man who has lived his entire life answering the calls and granting the wishes of others, Vanadis has had little time to contemplate his own self, and as a result, is quite humble. He dislikes unnecessary conflict between friends, and often plays the role of agreeable older brother in his circle, one who is gentle in nature yet strong in body. As stated before, Vanadis can shine brightest when on the front lines, a born fighter who is always quick to work himself into a frenzy during the midst of battle. Although he would beg to differ, it is generally agreed that when Vanadis is in one of his battle frenzies, he will fight with an uncontrolled ferocity to the extent that he may not be able to differentiate friend from foe. Brave to the point of fearlessness, altruistic to the point of selflessness and reckless when something is on the line, Vanadis considers himself to be a guardian for his loved ones. A tireless individual who easily empathizes with the blights of others, he often finds himself being taken advantage of by those who would abuse his goodwill. However, that does not necessarily mean that Vanadis is naive, it is simply a result of his kindness that he will go out of his way to help others. Of course, it goes without saying that he would never willingly break a promise, and it is powerful values like this that make up the bulk of his way of life. He is a stoic individual who perfectly embodies the image of a ''broodingly handsome long haired man in his 20s''. Although he is considerably well read, Vanadis is often quiet and rarely has anything to add to a conversation; this is because he would much rather listen than speak. However, when he feels the need to talk during a discussion, his contribution is normally insightful, something that is not often expected of him. Vanadis is also a man of many quirks, and his habits include but are not limited to; eating an excessive amount of meals per day, and an excessive amount of food in those meals, and having the ability to fall asleep in any place, regardless of conditions. A traumatic event that took place in his past has turned him into a justice thirsty, practically moving fortress, although he is considerably more open minded than other enforcers, completely ignoring written law and judging by his own set of morals. He is more than OK with listening to both sides of the story, as it were. Likes:

Magic Magic Name: Fire Magic Magic Element: Fire Magic Description: A form of Magic that revolves around the use of fire, allowing the caster to conjure, manipulate, and control the element for various purposes. The caster can change the properties of this Magic such as its "form", allowing it to take shape as a gas or solid element. Fire Magic can also work in a similar fashion to explosives. The caster is able to conjure this element from various parts of their body or from the nearby surroundings, though it is possible for weapons to use fire as well. Vanadis's flames are red. As a berserker, Vanadis is capable of using buff spells (strength and endurance), offensive and supplementary spells. History History: Vanadis was born to a mother hailing from a somewhat prestigious house that has not been 'true nobility' in many generations and a father who had been a marauder from a faraway country. Their romance, much like their fling, was short lived and it goes without saying that Vanadis's childhood was completely devoid of a father figure. The status of his mother's family, meanwhile, seemed to be going from bad to worse, and after a backstreet deal gone wrong, his maternal grandfather was arrested by the Rune Knights for racketeering. This sudden fall from grace, all unlike what she had been used to, was too much for his grandmother to take and she passed away only a few months after her husband had been sent to prison. As a result, the infant Vanadis and his mother moved to lived with her uncle of modest means. From then on out, he continued to live life, albeit in a much more humble manner than before. When he was thirteen, his father appeared before him again, claiming that the young Vanadis was his spitting image. It did not take long for him to piece one and one together. His father told him tales of his current life, of how he was making an honest living as a freelance mage, although he had done so in much more flowery terms. Before he left again, Vanadis burned the image of his father, tall and powerful with a massive great sword slung behind his back, into his mind. Not many months after this initial meeting, Vanadis befriended someone of the same age, a young girl named Ysabel. Her father, Yaren, was the unparalleled ace of the local guild, a mage who's abilities were supposedly of a great standard even when pit against the other champions of Fiore. While Vanadis aspired to be like his father, who was an enigma, the young teen found himself influenced more and more by Ysabel's father, a man of exceptionally strong morals. Unfortunately though, this pseudo father-son relationship would be cut short when Yaren left town for what he described as a 'routine job'. When he did not return, both Ysabel and Vanadis began to get worried, and their greatest fears were confirmed when a report was released in the newspaper. Ysabel's father had been killed on the job, and a picture of the killer had been included in the article. Ysabel recognized him only as the heinous criminal that murdered her family; Vanadis knew him to be his biological father, slightly worse for wear, but unmistakably him. Vanadis consoled his grieving friend but would never be able to muster up the courage to tell her the truth. More years passed, and besides the fact that his mother got remarried (with his blessing), nothing noteworthy happened; that is until Vanadis was 19 years of age. At this point, he had been practicing his swordplay every single day, so when a bounty for his father's head came out, he immediately headed for the area where the man was last seen. It wasn't hard finding him, as apparently, he had taken residence in an old house outside the city of Magnolia. Upon knocking on the door, Vanadis was greeted heartily by his father, but instead of returning such greetings, he immediately cut the elder Vanadis into two. After committing the deed, Vanadis began to look around his father's house, before coming across his memoir. Inside the memoir was the truth of what had transpired on that day: apparently, Vanadis' father was a talented swordsman but was deemed unfit for any guilds, and as such, was forced to take on freelance jobs. One such job was the protection of an important artifact. Meanwhile, Yaren's job, Vanadis would learn, was to retrieve an artifact that had been stolen from its original owners by an unknown thief. As he read the memoir with the distraught face only a kinslayer could make, Vanadis began to realize that justice was not as black and white as he had been thought. These two men, who would have gotten along great under other circumstances, had been forced to kill each other although neither of them were truly 'evil'. The next morning, Vanadis was found asleep, the memoir resting in his hands, with his father's sliced body a mere twenty or so feet away. He was discovered by a member of the guild Fairy Tail, who's headquarters were in Magnolia and brought there to receive the treatment they thought he needed. He decided to stay. |
