The sunlight crept into his apartment as he woke up from his long travel from Era. He was at his usual place, the B.A.D.D Guy Hotel that knew him quite well. They always had a spot available for him. Now that he had a goods night rest it was time to put in some work. There were dark requests that needed done by one of his former consorts over at the Castle Phantasm. They were one of biggest crime families in Oak Town and always needed work done whether it be finding out who is spying on them or dealing with other crime families in the town to make sure they stayed on top of the underworld. Caius went to the closet and would pull out his black gi and toss it over his body. He secured it with his red sash and put on his white boots as he went outside to the balcony and stared down at the city before heading out of his hotel room and then he would leave and head towards the Castle.

Upon arriving at the castle, Caius was greeted by the guards as they opened the gate and let him in. This was the third or fourth mission he had taken with the family so he was well known in the area. He would walk down the entrance path and open up the castle doors. Looking over to the left he saw Sirius waiting for him over in the living area with a bottle of wine on the table and two glasses. He sure knew how to treat his guests. Caius walked over and sat down on the big red leather seat that was available too him as Sirius poured a glass of wine for each of them. The wine was of the highest quality and was very rare to find. No doubt their connections to the underworld helped them get a bottle of that. Caius took a sip as he looked straight at Sirius. "So what happened this time. For being one of the strongest families in Oak you sure have a lot of problems?" Caius inquired. Despite being so powerful, Sirius made the family seemed vulnerable through all these requests.

Sirius swished his wine around before taking a sip of his own. "Surely you have seen the guards outside. How relaxed they are. We've been one of the most powerful families in Oak for some time causing their skill to decline. They haven't seen any real actions in years it seems save for maybe chasing off some kids vandalizing the walls. That's where you come in." he said standing up and looking out the window nearby. A look of disgust went across his face as he saw guards sitting by playing poker on the porch outside and not patroling like they were paid to do. "I need you to whip these boys back into shape. I'll oversee the training so they know to take it seriously. I've seen what you have done in the past and I am impressed. So let's get to work."

Caius polished off the rest of his wine before slamming the glass down on the table. He was excited that the job would actually have some combat rather than the recon bullshit they had put him on the past few missions. "Fine then I'll get their lazy asses back up and running for you. I've trained some of my members to be some of the deadliest mages in the country. I hope you don't mind if the guards break a bone or two or 15." Caius said. Sirius gave him his approval before the two of them would head out to the courtyard where they could begin the drills for the training exercise.

Caius walked out to the courtyard where Sirius would stand. He blew a whistle that would get the attention of all the guards in the area and would make them come down and head towards their location. It looked like they guards have done this before as they all headed down in unison towards one of the masters of the house. They lined up in front of Caius and the young master in a formation as they awaited the orders from the young master of the house. "Men. It's come to my attention that you have been slacking. Other families have broken in and other guards have been injured in combat. This will not due. Caius here is a mage that will help you improve your combat skills and keep them sharp so this disgrace does not happen again. He will be your superior today. Carry on."

The courtyard had a bunch of equipment laid out from swords to maces to sticks to training dummies. He expected nothing less from one of the wealthist families in Oak. He would be able to to use these to whip the men into shape. Sirius was sitting inside the house next to a big old window staring and looking at the training that Caius was going to do to help with the guards and improve their ablities so the next time there was an attack they would be ready and would make the family proud instead of being a liability. Caius would walk up to the rack and pick up a stick from the rack and spin in it his hands. It was lightweight and made out of bamboo which wouldn't kill but it would hurt really bad if you got smacked upside the face with it like a rock hitting a face but only it was bamboo so you know that hurts. He held it in one hand to the side. "Alright everyone grab one of those sticks and come at me one at a time. If you get hit go back in line. If someone can hit me we can move on to real weapons."

The guards would go and they would line up as they pulled the bamboo training sticks from the racks and lined up one by one by one and prepared to take Caius on. There was little square area that served as a sort of mini arena for them as they prepared themselves to fight. The first guard set his stance as Caius watched on. IT was sloppy. HIs hands weren't gripped tyight on his weapon and his legs were set too far apart. Caius held his weapon out as he signaled for the man to begin. He came running at him and showed no signs of skill. It was just a blind charge hopeing to stab him with the stick in his chest. As teh man closed in Caius would lifted up the stick and then would smack it down ino th eguards stick causing it to hit the ground. This left the guard wide open as he lifted up his stick and would then use a slight jab motion to hi him in the chest but it also had enough force that it smacked the man and made him hit the ground flat on his ass. He just lost as the other guards laughed at his efforts. They were way too lax and they would be next. Caius lifted his stick back up as he called for the next guard to start the fight. He fell just as easy as the last. It was going to be a long day.

Around the 5th or so rotation the guards started to get their act together. They didn't just rush him head on and were caerful about their movements. Caius was back to the first guard he faced who was sore but still ready to fight. The guard would inch closly keeping an eye on Caius before he would strike. It was a simple strike that was blocked by Caius' stick but it would not leave any opening to attack. Caius would then jump back and attempt to strike from above. The guard would roll out of the way and then poke Caius with the babboo stick being the first of the guards to do so. It was intentional that he let his guard down but they fell to the same move earlier. Caius was proud that they adapted a little. While they were celebrating caius blindsided the man with his god slaying wind magic. The man went flying into the wall and pass out unconscious. "Always be prepared for anyting. we are training with real weapons next. I'm going to give a report. Best prepare yourselves so you don't die."

1422/2000

Caius went into the house to report to one of the heads of the Sirius mansion. The guards were weak but they were improving. Practice makes perfect after all and these guards would at least be able to slay a moderate threat by the time he was done with them. Caius gave his report that the men needed work but they still had a session left to improve them. Sirius gave him a glass a wine as they talked about the training before Caius finished off the drink and would head back outside. The guards got back to attention and lined up like they did before to continue the training. "Alright guards. Grab a real weapon from the rack. This is the real deal. Pretend I'm an intruder and try to kill me. Don't hold back" Caius said. The guards looked concerned before grabbing weapons and assuming battle postions. Caius was glad to see they kept the stance he taught them.

Caius assumed his stance and started to gather black wind around his body to intimidate them and prepare his attacks. The men seemed scared at first but after they stopped being little bitches they were like yolo and would charge him. Most of them had short swords and spears. They seemed to think that they had weapons it gave them a massive advantage but caius was like those fools are dumb and when the first guard thrusted his sword he would side stop it and grab the mans arm. He stuck out his foot and the fool tripped on the ground and dropped his sword which caius caught and then he would have a sword now as he threw it as the next man with a spear charging. The sword hit him in the stomach but it didn't hit his vitals so he just passed out on the ground like a nerd. The men saw their assault wasn't working so they took it slow and surrounded Caius in a formation. They were learning. They all closed in with their weapons out and went to strike. Caius was an A rnak mage so he wasn't going down that easy he wasn't no nerd. Caius moved his leg up which propelled him in the air causing the guards attack to miss. He took a deep breath and would use his sky god bellow to launch a beam at the men from above and cause them all to get smacked by it givng them blunt damage on the ground. They were all unable to move so the traning was over.

Caius landed after the attack. "Just because you have weapons don't get cocky. There will be magic users that attack this mansion and you have to be ready. Focus on your defense as well. Dismissed." Caius said. it was getting late as the sun was down and he wanted to relax with his new reward money. Caius would head inside and go to the bathroom to clean himself up. Sirius was sitting in the usuall spot with hsi fancy ass red wine waiting on his report. Caius told him the guards should be warmed up now and prepared for an attack on the mansion be it magic user or not. Sirius was happy to see the results and reached into a bag to pull out all hsi jewels. He informed caius that he could use his help at a later time and to be on the eyes out for another erquest. Caius took the money and headed back homek
