Welcome to Fairy Tail RPG, where your visions come true through your words. You control the destiny of your character. Do you have what it takes to bring the world to order or chaos?
It wasn't that early in the morning but Alice was straining herself in the way of thinking too much. Konstantin had told her Lacie was here, that would mean that she would have to do something about it. Arrest her was the first thing that had crossed her mind obviously. Basically she had some sort of way: homicide was the first. However was there something to do about it when Lacie was eight or could she still be guilty now as she was older and she still deserved punisment. She frowned as she walked with her companion: Ophelia, through the South East Park. She had actually never been here, she was always in the busy city streets because of work and so on.
She watched Ophelia run after a squirel and she shook her head. She was sure the Clefairy would be careful, which made her stopw alking and frown, could she heal herself? She went to sit on one of the benches as she could keep an eye on Ophelia for as far as she was focused on that. Mostly she was still having the issue of her sister in her mind.
She tried to distract herself so much by doing various of jobs all the time. But it was kind of boring, she would have to take Ophelia to everything and that wasn't a bother, it was more that her companion didn't seem to like it much. Alice could understand. Who would want to watch their friend slam into a shield, not her, that would be boring. She looked up to see Ophelia, but didn't see her anywhere. She panicked a little, she was sure the clefairy would be fine but still. "Ophelia?" She looked left and right and ran towards the tree where she had seen the squirell last, she yelled for her companion again, where was she?
Winderlin was enjoying his time at the back of the guild. He had stood in the water and just relaxed. It felt good to do this. It was a great feeling to him and honestly he should give him more days off. He started to get more comfortable and played with the water a bit with his magic. Son he just wanted to be engulf by the water he started to take of his clothes completely and jumped in the water. It felt good ot be in the water swimming and being one with the element. But that didn't last long since his stomach quickly became hungry. So Winderlin dried off and put his clothes on and began walking to around town trying to find some food.
He was taking his stroll around the town as usual until he heard this noise. He knew he heard it before but couldn't quite place it. He followed it a bit down a street and saw that it was a Clefairy. It was strange to see a random Clefairy on the street, "Awe you must be lost. Come on let's go back up this street to the park. Your owner must be worried about you." Winderlin said as he got eye level with the Clefairy. He guessed it understood him since he started to walk back up the street and toward the park. Please let it be a hot guy. Please lord is all Winderlin thought.
Alice was looking everywhere at this point. She had even climbed into the tree, she was almost a hundred percent sure that the Clefairy wouldn't be able to climb the tree but you never knew. It was some two percent that nagged to her that she tought it could be an option. Apart from that it would give her a view over the park that might show the small pink bubblegum. She was angry at herself, normally she paid such close attention to Ophelia and now she was gone, she yelled another time before she turned to look to her right, still from the tree and she noticed a little pink orb walking on the main road of the park. Her eyes turned big as she noticed it was indeed Ophelia.
With a swift jump, she jumped out of the tree and landed on her legs as well as sank through her knees to not hurt herself. Her tail switched agitated from left to right and her cat ears were flat on top of her head, "Ophelia!" she said as she took the last few steps to her companion. She hunched down and even though she had sounded angry, she wasn't. She picked up her friend and cuddled her. This was the first time she noticed that the Clefairy wasn't alone, "Oh.. eh.. Hi. Thanks for bringing her back." did she had to reward him? Because she wasn't so certain she would like that idea, she could use the jewels that was all.
Instead of a sexy prince charming that Winderlin was hoping for he found a really pretty girl instead. She jumped from a tree and then hugged the Clefairy. He was honestly happy to see that he had did a good cause today. "Don't worry about it. I was just glad to help. Winderlin King by the way. I'm from the Fairy Tail guild. A new recruit actually." He said greeting him self with this cheerful smile he had. Winderlin tried to bring this wonderful cheer everywhere he went.
"Don't worry about anything. There is no reward needed. I'm just glad I could help. But there is one favor I would like to ask for if you don't mind. I'm actually really hungry and I would love to take you guys out for some brunch if that was fine with you. I'm gay don't worry this is not me making move." Winderlin said. "Sorry I was ranting. But what do you say?" he continue further on scratching the back of his head. God he really needs to learn how to not tell the whole world his business.
It was hard to focus on a conversation when she wanted to just put Ophelia somewhere to make sure she was safe. She couldn't help but smile though, "She had never walked away before. I'm really greatful," He introduced himself as Winderlin, and she continued to smile as he told her that he was a new recruit from Fairy Tail. She didn't want to chuckle but he seemed to tell her a lot, so she refrained from it. "I'm Alice Baskerville. Seated Knight from the Rune Knights. Nice to meet you."
This guy seemed to be able to read her mind about the reward part and she was afraid her face was so expressive that she was an open book and she didn't like that. She was fine with Kon knowing what she meant but not strangers. She raised a surprised eyebrow though when he asked them for breakfast or brunch as he called it. Her flat ears came up straight again with a twitching that showed she was interested, her tail going from left to right now less agitated. She couldn't help this time but laugh a bit about him, with him more than against him. She liked how he was honest and easy and outgoing, "Well that makes it easier." she said to the comment that he was gay, "Because I have a boyfriend." This was the first time she said it like that. Hell it was the first time she actually thought about saying it out loud. She always liked it to keep it to herself, "And I say yes to going to eat something with you." As well as Ophelia did. "I have heard that there is a teahouse in this park, it must be great but I have never been there yet. What do you say about going there?"
Winderlin sat there thining about the teahouse. I mean he did love tea but it was the mooring and he wanted to eat now and it would be nice to have company. Well I guess it will  be a teahouse. "Sure why no. I didn't even know there was a teahouse here. Sort of new to this whole place. Shall we?" Winderlin asked ready to get a move on and to get to know this person. "You probably find it funny how I could be in such a important guild and live in this town and still know nothing about the area?" he asked chuckling at himself. "Well like I said  come from the rich family of the Kings. But my family was murder not that long ago and I found out that I have a long lost sister somewhere." He said looking down at the ground. It had still hurt a bit to have to tell people that.
"But do not worry. I have the support of the guild helping me through everything and the thought that I might still have family out there is even belter." He said giving her a weak smile. A small breeze came through and his shirt rippled a bit. He felt a tear leave his eye. Crying in front of someone who he doesn't even know. Well great, he tries not to seem like a sad story but sometimes he can't help it. There is no 101 Book For Teens Who Just Lost There Parents. Hopefully Alice would understand his pain and not look at him weirdly.
She nodded towards him when he accepted her proposal on the teahouse. It was beautiful weather to sit outside, and the teahouse also offered sandwiches and the like to qualify it for eating breakfast. Or well she had read it in a flyer somewhere at some point, that had just popped in her mind. She kept holding on to Ophelia and lead Winderlin to the teahouse, which wasn't that far away from them. It was a small round building made of wood and that had it's terrace over the pond that was there. It looked lovely. She listened to him while they were walking, that it must be considered strange to be in one of the Guilds in town and not know about Magnolia, she shrugged, she wasn't entirely sure at this point what she wanted to tell him. She had always been careful to talk to others, but you had your moments. "I don't think so. I was born in Magnolia. I am well familiar with the streets now because I stayed here for more than three months right now. But before that, not a thing." She hoped to ease him a bit with that.
She froze a bit in her way of walking when he talked about murder, "Did the culprit get caught?" she asked, yes she was worried but indeed she was sure Fairy Tail would help out more than she could. She had things to do too, and that sounded so wrong but things that considered a murder and her family: her murder. Well technically that went wrong and here she was but it was still an attempt on her life. She gave this worried smile towards him and entered the teahouse to ask for a table for two near the pond. "I bet Fairy Tail is one of the best guilds to consider finding your family." Or well the ones that were left.
Winderlin looked at Alice for a moment. He felt completely like shit. He didn't even think about how it would affect her at all. Well nice going shit head. You done fucked shit up. "Yeah you are probably right. We should change the topic of discussion." He said as they both continued walking. He wasn't sure what to talk about but he needed to change the subject as soon as possible. But what could it be. Then a light bulb clicked in his head. He had the perfect thing to change the discussion to.
"So I use water magic. It's noting fancy but I'm apply to control water in any form I see fit in my head. My only limit is my head and skills and training and other stuff but nun of that is important." He said making water vapor stand still in the air. He felt like a badass. "So you must be a beastmaster or this Clefairy. I mean Ophelia. Hopefully I said that correctly. Are you two best of friends?" He asked feeling happy now that he made a new friend well two new friends. "Maybe you could also show me what kind of magic you have. I'm rally curious and would love to know pretty please?" He whinnied in a playful tone. So he can be a fun happy swell guy at time. Just need the right altitude and people around you. It's not that hard. Winderlin you have scored your points back.
She didn't mind the young man. He was fun and easy going as she had thought before. She was actually glad for the change of topic, it felt like a conversation about her work if she had to go on about his family. She didn't mind but it reminded her of Lacie and she wanted to let that one go for now. She knew Lacie was here, she only had to find her or wait in the Cathedral but she didn't feel like that at all. They were silent for a short while as she walked to the table and went to sit down, thank god the pond was not that close, imagine she would drop in the water. She placed Ophelia on the third chair to make sure she knew where her companion was as well that she wouldn't drop in the water.
Winderlin had found a topic and she quickly stood up and let her chair drop as he talked about water magic and stopped the water vapor in front of them. Her tail was thick like a cat's happen to be when they are afraid and her ears were on the back of her head, "It.. it's great to have a.. a magic." she said with big eyes staring at the time frozen water, "I'm not a.. big.. big.. fan." Ophelia seemed to find it funny. She tried to calm down and shake off her fright and pick up her chair and sit again. Her cheeks were red because of embarrassement. It had just surprised her that was all. She was glad the topic turned to Ophelia, so she could focus on her companion, "I met her in Oak. Some kids were pestering her so I took her away and helped her grow up. She used to be a Cleffa than."
Of course the question would be brought to her magic and she looked around for a second, there weren't many other people outside, many set inside. "Sure." She shoved her chair away from the table and stood up and took a few steps away from the table and held up her arms in a horizontal pose. She was surrounded by light and changed into her Scarle armour as well as hold the red lance in her hand, it fitted better with the black and red armour than her spear for now. "I use Requip. It's a rare magic but it gives me the ability.." she changed back into her light blue jeans, her mint coloured crop top and her hair lose. "To change into armours at whatever point I want and also summon my weapon of choice." She went to sit down again and grabbed a menu, she would wait to look at it to first see Winderlin his reaction.
SO she had the legendary requip magic. Winderlin thought this was really cool and wanted to ask more about her magic but he started to notice the tail and ears and how freaked out she was when he use this water magic. Is she a cat.... No that's stupid but I mean it wouldn't hurt to ask. But what if she finds it rude? Then don't ask you idiot. But you are curious but she seems nice and maybe she doesn't like talking about it. Well it's not like you are asking about anything personal just the ears and tail. He stupid head shut up. When Winderlin went to thinking I mean he went to thinking.
"Sorry but I have this really weird question to ask. I'm sorry but it didn't mean to offend you by no means but may i ask about the cat ears and tails before I ask a bunch of questions about this boyfriend of yours." I asked Still not picking up the menu from the table more into this topic of talk I have no open. He had this smile on his face ready for all of the tea to be spilled at this table in this teahouse. He couldn't stop hoping mentally in his seat. Winderlin should really go see a mental doctor because there is something wrong with him. But everyone seems to love him and he has changed from a curious to a smiling face to a thinking face like this poor girl is probably lost. "Sorry just doing a lot of thinking."
She smiled at him to see his reaction before she turned to look at the menu, not aware of his mental struggle to ask her a few questions. She would order a piece of cake for Ophelia and some tea for the two of them. She turned to look towards the bagels herself but she wasn't so sure what she wanted to try, there were too many options. Before she could make a decision, she turned to look at the pond, while she was overthinking her choices of bagels when she turned to look at Winderlin as he had a question for her. She was very aware of which side this question might go and she shook her head with a smile, it wasn't that bad. It was worse when someone jumped on your table and poited at you with the words: neko! But Chelvaric had been one himself.
"It means I'm not hundred percent human anymore. I did a job with my boyfriend and.." it felt a bit weird to call Konstantin boyfriend. She always called him: Kon.. or Konstantin. She shook her head to get over that point, "We had to enchant an amulet and that went wrong. So now I'm half cat, which gives me some great perks apart from being afraid of water." She said the last four words a bit cold because it was stupid, how she had to mentally prepare to shower, but well she could still shower.
She waved his apology away, "It's fine so what are the other questions." she said with a grin as she waved for the waiter to come and pick up their order. She ordered a bagel with salmon, a cupcake for Ophelia and two cups of tea with the vanilla flavour.
Oh she had opened a free door to any topic Winderlin saw. She does get really weird every time He brings up her boyfriend. It's like she doesn't call him that. Well it's time to collect my tea on her. He picked up the menu and notice they had sandwiches. So he gets really food and tea with more tea. Winderlin was in heaven. So it was time to order food. Winderlin signaled for the waiter to come over and he took this nice ham and bacon sandwich with a sweet lemon hot tea. Alice ordered for her and Clefairy. This was great.
"So Alice you wanna tell me about said boyfriend. I've noticed you have a hard time bringing him up every time I ask a question. Are there somethings going on between you two or did you do something or did he do something. Like girl hat's the tea. Come girl spill the tea. It's just me and you. So don't worry ain't know one going to know about any tea that gets spilled" Winderlin said leaning into the table. This was about to get really good for him. he hasn't really talked to anyone outside the guild since the whole thing. SO it was nice to get back in the world and interact with humans and talk about drama they might have and help solve it or just sip my tea like it is not any of my business because well it isn't.
She was fussing over Ophelia for a few seconds, especially after she had ran away she had felt very afraid and she didn't like that. She was also sure that there would be another moment she would close her eyes for a second and Ophelia would have found another squirell and she was sure that she would have to teach Ophelia to find her, she wasn't the little Cleffa anymore. She was waiting for the waiter to return to her and made sure that there was a bit of water in the tea of Ophelia so it wouldn't be too hot for the eager Clefairy to drink.
She turned to look to Winderlin as he went on about her and Konstantin. She frowned, she hadn't noticed that she made it sound like that, "Oh there is nothing really. We are both busy Knights. But we sort of live together, so we see each other every day. I am just not used to calling him my boyfriend." she said but there was a nice pink blush on her cheeks as well as a happy distant gaze in her eyes as she thought about him and was into seventh heaven for a second before she quickly turned back to the conversation, "So really there is not much to tell." The only thing perhaps that he was part of the Holy Knights, focused on the Illumin and she didn't like that, but she liked him, she was sure it was fine. He had explained that to her as well. But since the Holy Knights were a sort of secret organisation, she didn't plan to tell anyone that.
Alice answered taken Winderlin by surprised. He wasn't sure how to react to all of this. I mean it was all cute that she had a boyfriend but it's weird she doesn't call him boyfriend. Mhh I guess we all have different opinions on things. Should he keep going on about the topic or switch it up a bit. He felt bad. Maybe certain topics were a bad thing to talk about with her, but how could he tell. A breeze cam in a it caused Winderlin to think a bit about what he could talk about. Maybe more on her past, or cat thing she had going on, her favorite food. Options so many options, and Winderlin didn't know what to choose from at all. Â
"So I thought all requip users could only requip there weapon. But you are able to do armor as well. This is a first I've heard of this. Wanna explain about more about that. I feel bad about asking about your boyfriend who is named... If you don't mind me asking." I said looking at the food that was placed in front of us. I mean it looked nice and edible. I took a sip of my tea and looked at Alice trying to read her expression which was a bit harder then he expected. This was first since he is very good at reading people. This conversation is going to be very interesting in Winderlin's head.
She took a sip of her drink and turned her hazel coloured eyes towards Winderin, curious to what he would ask her now. She never considered herself that interesting. It depended on some things obviously, what people wanted to know like with Judina and the Rune Knights or Chelvaric and the demons. She resisted the urge to sign and simply took another sip, he seemed to be lost in thoughts for a second. She had noticed that before, as if he was very cautious about his words, she liked that, absolutely didn't mind the silence. She was aware that she didn't ask him anything but she was still trying to figure out some things, his past seemed to be gruesome, no one wanted to ask about that. And she didn't like to know details about water magic so she cast that aside either. She would see where the conversations would bring her.
"You know I have read that somewhere too." she said when the conversations was turned to Requip, but she let him finished it. She smiled, she absolutely didn't mind to talk about Konstantin. "Well your first point, about my magic. I read that too but that's not true, the Requip magic is build for fighting, that included weapons and armours. However it seems to be quite rare to simply be able to change clothing. I always store some extra clothes in the dimensional pocket to get dressed in different sets. That's aparently quite rare." she said with a proud grin on her face, she quickly looked at Ophelia but the Clefairy was behaving.
"As for your second topic. I don't mind talking about my boyfriend, Konstantin, I just don't know what to tell. He is nice, he is very strong. He is a knight. Pff what more? I really like him."
Listening to Alice was quite fun. She was told Winderlin different things about your magic and her boyfriend Konstantin. I'm surprised how open this conversation was. It was quite wow listening to this. Her life was fun to listen about. I wish I had that type of life but i wouldn't want to undo anything that has happen so far in his life. God this is so really fuck up when you think about it.
"So he is also a knight along with you? That is something cool. I wish I could find me a boyfriend soon. It sucks being single and not having someone." Winderlin said moping now. He couldn't really get over all his ex's and past guys. "My love life has been shitty. I can not find a nice guy or anyone worthy enough for me. Please if you have anyone good please. I need a man like girl help a bitch out," He said pouting. He was in his desperate state of help. He need her to help him out really bad. "I'll pay you for the help or give you anything just please?"
Winderlin realized how stupid he was looking and he fixed himself and looked at the table. "I'm really sorry about that. This is was stupid of me. My bad. I sort of got carried away and yeah. Let's just umm scratch this if you want this was very wrong of me to do." He said trying to make things better.
Finally the waiter came with the food. Her bagel with salmon and the cupcake for Ophelia and the order for Winderlin. She tucked a piece of the lettuce from her bagel and put it in her mouth. She hadn't wanted to be so open about herself but on the other hand, it wasn't much personal details, she just told the things she thought of Konstantin, it wasn't a secret after all that they were dating, yet this was the real open conversation she had with someone about it. She wondered why, did she tell Chelvaric that the other Neko had been her boyfriend? She was actually kind of worried about that, she should say it more often but it felt something so childish.
"It has it's good points. Most of them are good. We can do a lot of jobs together, we see each other a lot and so on. The bad thing is when we aren't on the same job, we are both very busy and well imagine if you do something wrong, you immediately hear it through the Knights." But she shrugged for as far she was always on her own in judging others, she didn't listen to the gossip. She judged people on their personality and the reason behind actions not by actions alone.
It didn't seem to cheer Winderlin up, he mentioned something about his own boyfriends and she nodded, she didn't really understood how that worked, probably not much different from her and Konstantin. Afterall it was still a relationship. Before she could say anything though, Winderlin apologized for his quick talk about finding him someone, "I'll keep eyes and ears open." she said with a wink as she took a bite of her bagel, which was delicious.
Winderlin was really enjoying what was happening here. He made a new friend.....well two new friends na she was just happy about it. But something clicked in his head. She was a Rune Knight member which meant she could help with something that I needed help with. But would she be willing to do it or not? Even more so could she do it. I mean it is something they should take care of but would it be too much to ask for? Why is this so difficult.
"Alice there's one more thing I need to ask of you. I know we agreed to drop this but I need your help. I have a sister. Well hopefully still have. My parents told me in the note they left me when they died was that I had a twin sister they had to give up. Her name is Isabella King. If you hear anything about her can you please tell me? I want to meet her" Winderlin said. He looked down at his food really hoping that she could help him. He need to talk to his sister and tell her the news and have her hold him and be a big sister. He hate that he felt like it was his fault about his sister and that he was asking someone else but he didn't know what else to do.
Sanity was a social construct. Its definition as fluid as water, taking the shape of whatever container it became placed. The difference between one being sane and insane seemed to exist in a state of juxtaposition, fluctuating depending on the definition used. What did one mean when ones stability was questioned? Were they making a statement that the individuals ideologies, thoughts, and actions were in direct conflict with what the majority had deemed as normality? Or was the accusation more based upon imbalances within an individuals brain, making their conception of reality different at a baser level?
One would think that regardless of definition, this man was subject to the word. Not a thought at first glance, as there was nothing that gave an inner view of his psyche upon first glance. To the world he was a painting, on display for all to see. Only those who neared the glass could see he was formed of jigsaw pieces, non of which fit properly. Walking through Magnolia, eyes dull and face stale, he wanted some form of excitement.
Roku did not choose to stop in Magnolia to fulfill quests. If jewel and good deeds were what he was after he could fuck off to any town at all. They all regurgitated the same spiel, regardless of the words they chose to use. Some sided with different guilds. Others grumbled about the Patriarchy and the "man" spying on them. It was a load of horseshit, people who thought the same ideals sounded better from a different tongue.
To define insanity was an individual idea. Society chose to agree on what was sane, and so it made the concept of insane easy for them to discuss. For him, it was the monotony of it all. That was what real craziness was. People okay with living the same life every day. People okay with finding their safe zone and staying in it.
That. Was. Maddening.
What brought him to Magnolia? The same thing that could have brought him anywhere. The same thing that brought him to the park. The same thing that brought him to these two, mid conversation.
Chance.
Chance was a thing to be celebrated! It was impossible to prove, but easy to question. Was their meeting truly random? The decisions he had made that brought him to the park at this precise time certainly had to coincide with the decisions the two of them made that brought them to the same location. These were all planned actions, or things settled upon personally to wind them up there. The fact that they were there certainly wasn't random. The further back one went, the more factors taken into account, the less "Random" seemed to exist at all. It all happened because the things that came before led up to that. It made one question everything that could be perceived as random, including luck.
"Why," he cooed, his voice carrying on the one syllable word much longer than necessary. His voice would come as a surprise, approaching from an angle that would put him to both of their backs. The could swivel in their seats, of course, but they had no need. He'd not made any movements of an aggressive nature, he'd merely began talking."Hello there!" His demeanor had changed from mere moments before he arrived. His eyes were vibrant, his face was joyous, and his smile was infectious. He was by all means a kind stranger, approaching from ten meters out with a wave, and approaching their table with confident strides. By all means, he was just there to mingle!
And perhaps he was? One could never be certain with those who were sane.
There was a moment of silence as they ate and drank their tea. She was wondering if she had killed the conversations because of what she had said. On the other hand she couldn't imagine saying something bad to Winderlin, with his enthusiasm. When she finished her bagel, which was easy if you didn't talk, Winderlin started to talk again. That he had one more question for her. She looked up at him when he started and nodded, thank god there were good sisters in the world. "Of course, it's my job as well as that I like to help you with that." She hoped it was clear that it wasn't only because she was a Rune Knight, "I will immediately look for something. It was nice to meet you, really, but I have to leave as well." She turned to look at Ophelia, which never happened (which was good as the pet was gone again, bored). When someone said hello.
She now stood next to the table, the chair a little bit back to make space. She didn't know this stranger that said hello, her eyes darted shortly to Winderlin see if he knew the stranger before she simply turned back and smiled, "Hello." was all she said. She didn't like strangers acting like they knew each other, she had heard the why but not seen it to them. he had even waved at them as she had seen the last end of the gesture. All she could do was frown a little, "Can I help you with anything?"
Winderlin was really happy that Alice was being nice with him and she was so nice and friendly with him. It was nice to have friends again and a life. Things were starting to look up again for him. This was great he thought to himself.
"Alice in really glad I met you and I hope we can be friends. This has been a really nice day. Thank you for giving me hope and just being a great person. Winderlin said giving her a big smile on his face. He was happy but then confused. Alice started to speak but not to him. He looked to see someone was talking to them. He never seen him before but he did notice a lot of people where in Magnolia a lot more.
"Hey. We are glad to help you if you need help with anything. Don't worry about either. Glad to help if that's what you need." winderlin shut the fuck up. You are being to friendly again. But the guy was giving him a weird vibe so hopefully being friendly would help with that. Alice seemed way more calm then she should of in Winderlin's head but she is a Rune Jnight so she could handle her self.
Roku's words had been enthusiastic. Joviality oozed from his lips and contentment was worn upon his face like a mask. His body language, even on the approach, certainly hadn't been threatening. Confident, long strides with chin held high and shoulders back. He looked like any competent member of society, closing the gap between two strangers with the hope to make new connections and create new acquaintances.
So why did he receive such a welcome? A curt, disinterested reply coming from a well set frown. She instantly questioned his motive, causing an eyebrow to arch and his head to tilt. His facial expression held no other signs of confusion or misunderstanding, instead keeping its smile and joy painted on. Glancing down at the man who spoke, his face went back to its perfect mask. The smile soothed into one of more genuine joy, and as he reached the table, he pointed to a chair that sat empty at their table.
"May I?" His question was rhetorical as he immediately took the chair, scooting it almost directly next to Winderlin before taking his seat in it. "I like you," he said, adding emphasis on the word as he looped a single arm around Winderlin's shoulder. His moves were made without hesitation, giving next to no time to actually react to them.
"See, this is the Magnolian courtesy I'd heard so much about. This is why I came to see it for myself!" His voice came out among bits of laughter, the words almost even sounding different due to the smile upon his face. Turning his look back to Alice, his arm still around Winderlin's shoulders, he tilted his head to the side once more. His smile was now gone, instead a look of concern on his face.
"Have you had a rough day? Was I perhaps imposing upon a date? I'm sorry!" His voice remained the same, despite the change of facial expression to that of a man who was worried.
She didn't like people like him mainly because she didn't understand how people could be that easy but she eased a little. That's when she noticed that the chair he took was originally Ophelia her chair and she looked left and right but her companion was gone. She cursed under her breath and looked back at the stranger and Winderlin, oh. Well she kept her eyes and ears open and here was a potential one. She couldn't help but try to hide her grin which seemed impossible, there was a small smile on her lips but it said enough.
She gripped the table to not freak out about Ophelia at this point but she would have to come to that next, "Well I wouldn't know much about the curtency as I'm not from Magnolia myself." she lied, she ahd been but she didn't remember so was it than a full lie? She shrugged that idea away in her mind. She didn't want to sound panicking, she didn't want this stranger to feel like he was unwelcome just when he had said something about Magnolia's friendliness or so. She took a deep breath and looked at him, but he talked again first, "Oh no, no. Don't worry about it. We actually just met ourselves ehm and we were just finishing lunch or well breakfast in somebody his case." She said, wondering how uncomfortable Winderlin felt but he shouldn't simply push people away is what she thought, especially when someone openly said he liked you, although she didn't believe he would know that for sure since it was obvious they just met as well.
She would have to hope that Ophelia had walked into the little tea house and that a waiter would bring her any minute now. It wasn't as if she could walk into the pond that surrounded their part of the terrace as there was a railing. She was still standing and she wasn't sure if she should leave the two of them or not, she would wait for Winderlin his reaction, but before that she knew she had to be nicer, "So you aren't from here. Did you travel long to arrive in Magnolia?" she tried to sound concerned as well, which wasn't difficult considering her panic for her companion but still, she was alert on the conversation and Winderlin his facial expressions.
Winderlin sat there as the guy put his arms around him. He took Winderlin for loop and he wasn't really sure how to react to the whole thing. I mean he liked the idea of the guy doing this and he was very good looking but he did sort of still scare the shut out of Winderlin. He wasn't sure what the fuck to do and it was bothering him. Alice was asking him questions and to be honest Winderlin was hoping that she would save him but she asked way better questions then he would of at the moment. So Winderlin took a deep breath and calmed down. You got this Winderlin just calm down and think. He looked and stared at the guy for a bit.
"So you said you came looking for a date correct? So may I ask why are you sitting here with your arms around me. Not complaining to be honest just really confused since you sort of just came out of the blue with no name or anything. Just curious is all." Winderlin said giving the guys a smile. He didn't want to scare the guy at all and just wanted answers and was honestly trying to be kind and sweet. He even got comfortable with the guy to show he wasn't being hostile but Winderlin still knew something was up. His gaydar works backwards. If he finds a guy attractive the guy is always straight but still that was Winderlin always thinking negative. Let's just see how this plays out Winderlin said thinking
His surroundings were comfortable, his company seemed kind, and the seat was pleasant. Everything seemed to be going in a relatively positive direction for their day together, one that could end up as a fruitful endeavor indeed. Perhaps young Roku could make friends on this fine day, something the man all but considered impossible at this point. Everything seemed to be going well!
Until they began to speak. They spoke as people who obviously were not listening to his words, picking apart particular pieces of his context until what they gathered was completely off. The girl who came across originally as rude seemed to be trying to turn things around, an impressive attempt, and yet this man obviously had zoned him out. In what way had Roku asked for a date? Only one of his arms were looped around this mans shoulders, allowing him to sit side by side what could have been a companion.
Now this man was insane.
Roku's face lost most of its joy, now containing a rather focused expression almost instantly. Looking Winderlin in the face, the blood mage turned his gaze away and to the woman. "Weeks." His response was short, his voice holding some bit of confusion and perhaps even irritation.
"You."
Turning his eyes to face the males, Roku locked eyes with him. His face took on a smile once more. It seemed as if his mind was set. Using his right hand, which was wrapped around the man, to squeeze the mans left shoulder as if to reassure him, Roku let out a light sigh. "I asked if I was interrupting a date. I came to introduce myself and get to know you both. And they say that one who asks the name of another should first give their own, though I guess the instance we find ourselves in is a little..." he rocked his shoulders, squinting his eyes and pursing his lips as if to think of the word he was looking for. "Unique?"
It seemed right, for with that Roku leaned forward. Resting his left forearm and elbow on the table, the distance between him and Alice was greatly reduced. His right hand was still gently squeezing Winderlin's shoulder here and there in a reassuring manner, having likely slightly bent him forward as well in his leaning movement. Motioning his head for her to lean in some, Roku gave a smile.
