ManaKenny looked up at the ceiling, his eyes focused on darkened white of the roof. This was bliss, peace, and warmth. He could live for these moments, more of these moments with her in their room after a long night stoking flames and releasing pent up emotion. There was one scene that played back in Kenny’s mind, when she raked his chest with her nails. The wound was fresh, it bled lightly nothing to wince at, though it still stung to the touch. His eyes widened, did the split do that? If so he would need to figure out how to tell who was who, that way at least he could shift their positions so he wasn’t in clawing range. Regardless of what happened, he felt an attraction to her. It grew more and more every day they spent together. He couldn’t explain how he felt; he wanted to be there for her, protect her, and fill in all of her desires, but he didn’t know if it was lust or… That other L word. Hey, if it was he wouldn’t mind too much, but it would be a learning experience that was for sure.
He wrapped an arm around her and pulled her closer, “Ya know what, how about we go to our next job together in the morning? We could get some breakfast, chat, and-” before he would finish she was out like a light. What was the next chapter in this story? Who knew, either way, he’d do his best to give her a happily ever after in the end. He kissed the top of her head and looked back at the ceiling. His thoughts began to dissipate as her soft breathing relaxed him. He would soon close his eyes and drifted into sleep.
