“I need to get out of here,” she whispered nervously to herself, blinking several times in a row before finally pulling the curtains shut—her eyes were irritated by the sunlight. The young woman had found the strength to move again, after sleeping and eating and getting a little more rest she had recovered from the attack of what she now firmly believed had been a female vampire. Ridiculous, she had thought to herself many times in these past two days, it was quite unbelievable and she still kept wondering whether or not she had been hallucinating the events of that fateful night, but the wounds on her wrist showed the truth.
She wanted to think more about it, investigate and find out what was behind all of it, but right now all she wanted to do was leave town, as quickly as possible to get her mind off things, dive into a few jobs here and there and return to her normal, stable life. Seira left for Marigold Town that same day, and fortunately the small farmer’s city wasn’t too far away and she arrived within less of a day’s worth of traveling. Upon arrival the first thing she did, as always, was to book a room in a lovely looking inn and make herself at home.
