It was a dark and stormy night, Kazumi had gone to the mini fridge in her apartment for a midnight snack, trying to get her mind and body tired enough to go back to bed after the thunder had woken her up. However, she had not found anything to eat! She was officially dried out. It was for that reason that she decided to do some grocery shopping this morning, something mundane and boring but something that had to be done, none the less. She would rather not go hungry later. Of course, if something were to happen to cause her to want to do something more exciting well, she could hardly refuse, could she? At least, That's what she was hoping for. However, little did she know that as she walked out of her apartment building wearing a tank top, a pair of jeans, some boots, and her jacket around her waist, that her prayers would soon be answered... Kind of.
Off in an alley somewhere, There was a dumpster adjacent to a dine-in restaurant. In it were piles of trash, as one could imagine, but sitting quite nicely on top was a page torn out of the kid's menu of that aforementioned eatery. It was some sort of Maze, long since filled in by the child whom this once belonged to. It started at one place, and ended with a big 'X', as mazes sometimes do. A sudden breeze decided to move this map, however. The piece of paper fluttered in the wind on its own little journey, traveling until it hit an unsuspecting Kazumi in the face as she walked. "What the--" She pulled the paper off of her face and looked at it. She looked at the paper and paused. Something looked rather familiar to her. Reaching into her jacket pocket, she pulled out a map of Magnolia that she kept with her. After all, she still had places in this large city that she had yet to visit. Comparing the map with the maze, she realized; Hey! It looks so similar! See, What Kazumi saw was not a children's maze from a Kid's Menu. She saw a tattered and stained old piece of paper with a hand drawn Map of the city, Marked with a big red X; a treasure map.
Of course, Kazumi was not interested in going on this impromptu adventure alone. Absolutely not. So why not go with a complete stranger? What a great way to meet new people. She waved the paper up in the air shouting, "Anyone want to go on a treasure hunt with me?!"
