The Sylvan Fay
"You're not going to dress up for your date?"
"It's not-- " Atani sighed and shook her head before redoing her braids. "You know what? Never mind."
She didn't have time for this. She glanced over at her clock. It was nearly 5:45 in the evening. Though it would take her no time at all to make it to the Cathedral, she hardly saw the point in waiting any longer if all she had to do was dawdle. Besides, there was no harm in showing up a few minutes early; it would simply leave her with more time to find a comfortable spot and gather her thoughts.
Given it wasn't a holy day, the Kardia Cathedral was quite empty. Of all the pews for her to sit, she chose one in the back right corner. For the elf who worshiped her culture's own pantheon, the Illumin church wouldn't have been her first choice for a meeting, not to mention how the place echoed if you spoke too loud-- but she supposed Abel had his reasons. Busying herself with admiring the architecture of the place, she waited for him to arrive.
