So tell the gun to sin Like an angel with the dirty wings Tainted by tastes of the soul This is another level Deep in | The afternoon sky hung low as a miasma of red, orange and yellow evidently exemplified its beauty. She strolled through the sand, her bare feet colliding against the soft sand that dug underneath the weight exerted by her foot as her arms gently swung back and forth, holding the pair of slippers that previously adorned her feet. People surrounded her as fatigue showed no signs of arrival. Everyone was in a festive mood, playing games and winning rewards, dancing and partying to the sound of the music that evaded her ears. The knight hadn't done much except take part in the bikini contest, which as predicted, she lost. A small groan escaped her lips as she shut her eyes momentarily, regretting ever participating but after a few seconds, she released a sigh. Bygones were bygones. The least she could do was have fun. Letting her slippers fall to the ground, she hauled the cluster of blonde strands before tying them up into a messy bun prior to bending down to pick up her shoes once again. The chatter of young mages captured her attention as they proceeded to talk about how fun the bucket race was. A bucket race was definitely something that captivated her attention. "Oh, you want to play?" Said a young man, who she assumed was a host. After a second's hesitation, she nodded her head as he let out a grin, "We're gonna start the next round!" Being handed the bucket of water, she awaited the arrival of the other players before placing it onto her head. |

With all of this information the blue haired man named Liam headed towards the beach. He was hoping to maybe join in on some of the activities."Don't have high Expectations" His mind kept nagging him.But at the back of his head there was still a positive thought. At this point he was stuck in his own world,he tried not arguing with his mind but eventually he had hit a nearby pole and stumbled back a little bit,but he lost balance and eventually fell down. This was very careless of him,but he really can't snap back to reality making it hard for him to pay attention to anything. He rubbed his head and started walking towards the beach again.
He was already a couple meters from entering the sandy area,he was starting to see the various activities already but there was one that did catch his eye.A small activity having to do with water buckets.A race to see who was the swiftest out of all the contestants. He ran over to the area that had the water buckets, and was met by a young man."Hello there,Are you going to be playing?" The young man asked Liam.He nodded his head in approval and the young man handed him a water bucket."Alrighty! Another contestant. Alright, sir just put the bucket atop of your head." The man instructed Liam to do,and Liam did it.He lifted the bucket up and held it on his head.He tried walking around with it and almost ended up falling, but he was able to hold his balance."That was close.." He whispered to himself as he waited for the others to come to the race.

Tying her hair up into a ponytail so that it could not bother her as she approached the bucket race area, she noticed that the blonde girl from the bikini contest was already there, as well as a man with long hair. They were probably waiting for other contestants, so Bianca hurried towards them, accepting a bucket from the man who asked if she wanted to participate. She stood with the two other contestants, waiting for others to arrive. Hopefully, she won this since she was pretty fast and was strong enough to hold the bucket on her head. She wondered how the fast the others were while they awaited their last participant.

Ah, walking on the beach always posed a pleasant workout for Alisa. Her feet sinking on the shifting sands made every step tiring and cumbersome, that was, until one finally got used to it. Of course, there was always the cheating way, putting your feet on somebody else's footprints to make the whole thing easier, but as a rule Alisa avoided doing it. Though when she caught sight of the next game, she wondered if she'd really have the luxury of doing so if she wanted to win it.
"Hmmmm, this one looks like fun~", she noted, her lips drawing into a faint, but visibly interested smile.
Alisa was pretty confident in her speed, and why wouldn't she after being clocked as one of the fastest mages in Fiore? Of course, in battle, speed wasn't everything, but thankfully, this wouldn't really be a battle. Rather, a simple race, where nothing but her long, shapely legs and the finish line truly mattered. First off, gauging the competition. The scuptress smiled at each person present and acknowledged them with a nod. A boy from her guild she'd not yet been introduced to, as well as Xandra and Bianca:
"Hello there~!", she greeted them with a calm but delighted smile, obviously confident about this game, far more than she'd been about any of the others.

Nodding her head in greeting, she gave a small, subtle and scarcely visible smile to the raven-haired female in timid retaliation to her words of salutation. "Alright! Now that everyone's here, let's begin the contest." The young man, who happened to be the host ensured that all four contestants held a bucket of water, before summarizing the rules for them. "Okay, you may all place your buckets on your head. Run for the finish line when I blow the whistle."
The instructions were rather simple. The knight placed the bucket on her head, steadily balancing it and shifting her weight from one foot to another to make sure that she was prepared. The pressure exerted on her head wasn't as much but the water did indeed threaten to spill out. Before she could find a better way to take care of this issue, the whistle evaded her ears and without thinking, she bolted for the finish line, which was a thin red strip meters away from the start line. She could feel the sand sink below her weight but did not have the luxury to look down as she desperately balanced her body to ensure the stillness of the bucket. It took them a few moments, at most a minute to reach the end line where the winner would be determined.

The young man had told all of them the instructions already and everyone seemed to be all ready."Good luck you all!" He told the other contestants. After this he put the bucket of water on top of his head and he tried his best to balance it atop his head,a hard activity to do but he was determined to win.But you couldn't really tell because of the fact he just had a smile upon his face.A few moments after everyone had placed the bucket on top of their heads the young man counted down starting from 3 to 1.The man blew the whistle and Liam walked as fast as he could, but he was very careful in trying to balance the water bucket. And it was hard to walk through the terrain since it felt like every step you it felt like you were going to sink into the sand, but nevertheless Liam tried his hardest and hoped for the best and hoped he at least was in the top three.

When the host blew the whistle, she would sprint forward at her top speed, not even bothering to look at the positions of other contestants. The finish line was not too far away, so she just hoped that the rest of them competitors were not as fast as she was. When she reached the finish line, Bianca placed the bucket in the sand beside her and bent down to catch her breath. She was going to need a gallon of water after this. The heat wasn’t helping either.

Sadly, she couldn't really rely on this party for the much needed time to get to know the other contestants... She'd very much like to hang out with all of the other three people here - for a myriad of reasons - and doubted she'd ever get another chance to find all of them in the same town at once. And Hargeon of all places, which she pretty much deemed the closest she had to a proper home. Who knows, maybe some of the three would stay a bit longer before heading off to parts unknown... But first, she had a contest to tackle.
"Good luck~!", she echoed Liam's words of sportsmanship, for all the competitive spirit this game was just that; a sport.
Once the announcer spoke up, everyone understood the time for pleasantries had ended, and the time to race came upon them. Carefully, Alisa hoisted up the bucket and placed it above her head, taking a few steps back and forth to ensure she had a steady grip on it. In the end, this was more than a battle of speed, but a contest of balance; which among them could move faster without spilling the water over their heads? They were about to find out as the announcer soon blew the whistle, and she darted forward as fast as her balance allowed her...

This wouldn't do... This wouldn't do at all...! In her concern not to let the water spill, she wound up falling behind. Even then she was still pretty fast, enough to overtake Xandra and Liam, but not the surprisingly speedy Bianca. But here, there would be no second place. It was all or nothing. Feeling the water start spilling, dripping over her hair and body, Alisa gripped the bucket even harder, enough that she might actually crush it if she squeeze any harder.
But that worked, up to a point. That split second decision and the added grip it provided made the water stop spilling and allowed her to put more effort into her legs. Enough to well and truly work a sweat in the grueling challenge of catching up to her opponent. Her breath grew ragged as she instinctively tried putting her feet in whatever depressions she could find, where not only would her footing wobble less, but also allow her to run faster for nearly the same amount of effort. Yet would all of this be enough...? Maybe, maybe not...
It could very well just require a bit of extra luck as opposed to simple skill, just like any other sport...
