Eva felt that a lot happened in the past few days. Almost as if she was lost somewhere between her reality and some sort of delirium, Eva woke up that morning with a startling dream of something being sucked out of her. Whatever traces of the dream disappeared the moment she opened her eyes but the familiar feeling of fear and dread remained in her mind, creating a perfectly annoying headache early in the morning for the model. Not even hours later, as she currently walked down the noisy streets of Hargeon, did the headache subside. Instead, the whispering and chattering of the people had set it on high mode. If someone was to bump into her at that moment, Eva would probably never be able to control her emotions. In a very distant part of her conscious, Eva sort of knew that the cause of her troubles were the possible loss of her dear friend, Alice. Despite being in the town for a few days now, she had not seen nor heard anything about the orange haired neko. It worried her quite a bit.
She wanted to believe that Alice was ok, that somehow she got through it all, and she was doing well but with no proof to ascertain her beliefs, Eva had even went as far as trying to drown her sorrows with one thing she never thought she would touch in her life, alcohol. Of course, that incident didn’t go so badly thanks to the nosy man that sat next to her but it was still a good example of how her will was breaking apart. This was exactly why she never wanted to get closer to someone or make any sort of deep relationships. They were a weakness and as much as Eva wanted to turn back time and go back to the point where she only had herself to rely on, she knew she had already gotten the taste of the kind of happiness these relationships and ties could bring. In the end, she was just conflicted.
“Grr,” something growled below her, immediately drawing Eva’s attention to the yellow creature with lightning bolt like projections coming up around its fur. “A jolteon?” She wondered what it was doing there. Those creatures were extremely rare to find, after all. It didn’t look all too happy to see her either as it quickly turned its tails and ran off, Eva following its direction with her eyes to find the familiar physique of an orange haired woman that Eva missed dearly. Without any words, she ran over to the woman at full speed. She was alive! Alice was standing right in front of her, perfectly fine. “Alice!” She rushed over, throwing her arms around the woman. For the first time in a very long time, Eva felt like crying and laughing all at the same time. “I’m so glad that you are alright!”
