Personal Name: Lycoris Gardenias Age: 18 Gender: Female Sexuality: homosexual Class: Adventurer Rank: D-rank Guild: Guildless Tattoo: Right upper-arm, close to the shoulder Face: Konno Yuuki, Sword Art Online Appearance Height: 153cm Weight: 49kg Hair: purplish-black Eyes: red Overall: The first thing people most likely notice when meeting Lycoris is that aside from her explosive demeanor is that she is quite a natural beauty. Standing at just five feet tall she might not be the tallest among her age, but she certainly knows how to leave an impact. Whether it's with her crimson red colored eyes that tend to have a rather passionate and intense gaze in them or her graceful looks. the girl is often known to leave some interesting and often entertaining impressions upon those around her. For her clothes, she often prefers to go for stylish garbs or uniforms. Extra: Personality Personality: Those who seen Lycoris, and experienced all facets of her nature will almost certainly agree that the mercenary they know is an enigmatic figure. Those who first meet her often label her as the classic gentlewoman, the stereotypical noblewoman who acts with a certain eloquence. Her cheerful and slightly playful demeanor tends to serve as an excellent means to interact with the younger crowds. Indeed, Lycoris usually appears as a cheerful and well-mannered young woman whose kindness and suave attitude makes her easy to get along with. To those who know her a little bit better Lycoris also shows a deeply ingrained sense of a personal code of honor, the type of woman who is incapable of letting a slight go by unpunished. She's surprisingly mature and understanding, often displaying an aptitude for listening to people, and share in their emotions as if they were her own. But she also seems incredibly loyal to those she calls her friends. But above all, Lycoris is an actor, and the earlier description is merely one of the countless masks she can put on if needed: The joker, the white knight, the kind elder sibling, the charming stranger and of course there's also the ruthless anti-hero. If there was a way to truly describe Lycoris, then perhaps the following might be the most genuine description of her true nature, at least if she still possesses that: They say a lion doesn't know fear, and that the heart of a lion beats within Lycoris. Upholding with the descriptions of her heroic nature, Lycoris is a brave and courageous individual. However, this trait, against all expectations was not a natural thing for the woman to possess. Rather, it unfolded during her time alongside her elder brother Gregory, the close camaraderie they held nurturing her growth into the woman she is today. Seeing him as an example in how he never cowered in the face of seemingly overwhelming odds or the fact he never was one to back off from a challenge, Lycoris is the type of woman who upholds the virtue of courage and admires it in others. However, most important is the knowledge that she would consider the lack of it a flaw. While her past might have unfolded in a way she had not desired, the fact that she has been given a second chance at living in the form of a mercenary has given Lycoris a passion for the unknown and challenges. She's the type of woman who is prone to travel to a foreign land, just to see what awaits her there. In the end, if she refused to explore the possibilities her new life has to offer then she would end up getting at a standstill, and everyone knows that in a world like ours moving forwards is necessary if you wish to survive. Curiously enough her suave attitude is not a disguise; she truly is a confident and pleasant to interact with woman. The type of person you can easily converse with while she displays a relaxed and often delightfully social demeanor. Not only that, but as a woman of her age she knows all too well that the right compliment at the right time can cause a situation to turn into her favor. Having experienced firsthand what sort of things can happen to a person when they are encouraged and helped one can say that Lycoris is often prone to take on a distant mentor-like attitude toward those she considers weaker than her, especially children. In the end she considers it a mutually beneficial choice, because the weaker individual increased their chance for survival, and she herself obtains a potential ally. However, her method of encouragement might be a bit harsh, for she believes that people nurture the best on barren soil, and that means to improve from enduring hardships. An aspect of her personality that tends to naturally blend in with her pride, Lycoris is often rather arrogant in the sense that she overestimates herself. She might not think lowly of others; it's just that she thinks really highly about herself. As someone who often stood in the spotlight, only outmatched by her elder brother caused Lycoris to manifest this trait. She often considers herself capable of doing more than people imagine she can, and often this manifests in her inability to properly calculate her own capacities when it comes to a battle. Associated to the fact she failed to save her mentor from the betrayal of the corrupt noble they worked for. This personal failure has made Lycoris often become prone to seeing things a lot more negatively than they are when things turn out in a way she didn't expect them to be. However, it's also that regret that turns into pessimism, which serves as an unhealthy stimulant for Lycoris to move forward. In the end, with a regretful past it's not exactly like she has anything to lose by moving forwards. The type of woman who lives in the here and now Lycoris is often prone to act the moment an opportunity shows itself rather than waiting to see things. While this might conflict with her deceptive nature the fact she’s impulsive also opens a certain sense of training in thinking on the move. Still her impulsiveness was born even before her life as a hero mercenary. As the second in command of her brother’s crew she often had to act and think quickly or risk botching up their negotiations. However, most often this manifests as a negative trait because it makes her impatient and dislike the idea of waiting when the opportunity is there. While this only happens to those who challenged her or otherwise tried to oppose her Lycoris tends to allow herself to show a certain mean streak to her at times. Sadistic in terms of enjoying the sight of humiliating her enemies in the attempt to make them know their place upon defeat by her hands Lycoris might not be the type of woman who’d mindlessly kill someone who crossed her path, unless she has a reason, but her fallen enemies can certainly expect not to leave without a fair share of mental or physical humiliation. While she does not develop a grudge quickly, the moment she does one is pretty much guaranteed it will last until the day one of them dies. In the end Lycoris has seen her fair share of betrayals and wrongdoings, and something about them remaining unsolved only stirs an intense hatred within her. Of course while she might be convinced to drop a grudge the saying ‘She might forgive, but she’d never forget’ applies to her. She might decide to forgive someone in the end, but the grudge for the event will always linger. Likes:

Magic Magic Name: N/A Magic Element: N/A Magic Description: Lycoris is known to possess no aptitude for magic so far, and instead relies entirely on weaponry and martial arts. -Adventurer Class- History History: Some people say that tragedies break a person, yet sometimes it’s those very tragedies that shape a person into who they are today. Lycoris was not always a mercenary, or someone who adored martial arts and combat through weaponry. However, it all begun in South Fiore. It’s a known fact that sometimes the army isn’t able to reach disasters in time, in the end there are only so many Rune Knights and good-aligned mages that at some point certain settlements were forced to fend for themselves, and the story that is about to be told today began in such a settlement. It was a small farmer’s settlement, barely worthy of mentioning but the people were peaceful and hospitable to travelers. However, during a harsh winter a group of bandits terrorized the region, raiding small settlements and demanding their food in exchange for sparing the villagers. Yet it didn’t always go like this. In this particular case the supplies of the settlement were too little to please the bandits, and as punishment they put the settlement to the torch and started slaughtering the innocent villagers. It was at that time a wandering band of mercenaries led by a charismatic man called Gregory had arrived to find the village in blazes, and while they swiftly dispatched of the bandits there was no saving the dead, the village had been lost… or so it seemed. A cry came from among the debris, and Gregory went to investigate, finding a lone girl hiding inside, the lone survivor of the raid. Few could likely understand Gregory’s decision to take in the child, especially for a mercenary crew but it didn’t take long for the crew to warm up to her. Despite her tragic past Lycoris was a feisty lass, the type who was prone to get excited whenever there was some mock-fighting among the mercenaries, to the point it often became a tradition that they did a little ‘performance’ in the form of a training spar to keep the girl excited. However, as time passed Lycoris became more than just a little cheerleader for the crew. While she lacked aptitude for magic the girl showed quite a vigorous tenacity and a unflinching resolve during combat, to the point that as she grown up to become a teenager that Gregory personally started to train her. However, the most important event for the girl was when she became sixteen. Ten years after Gregory had found her the man took her to a shopping trip in Hargeon, at first she assumed the trip was to get new supplies for the mercenaries, but it appeared the whole crew had pitched in money to get her a whole set of armor and a weapon! The crew couldn’t help but laugh at how her reaction was a mixture of flustered embarrassment and overwhelming joy, one that was only amplified when she was given a family name: Gardenias, the very name their Mercenary crew held. It was at that point Lycoris became somewhat of a mascot for the crew, their overprotective nature almost reminding one of a family watching over their younger sibling. It was truly a blissful time for Lycoris, one free of concerns and the only thing she desired was for that peace to last forever. Unfortunately, reality had a different plan in mind for them. It all happened when Gregory received a job offer from a nobleman, some outlaws were terrorizing the villagers in his domain, and in exchange for money Gregory was given the task of dealing with them. It were tasks like the type that one might had expected, but they promised good pay… pay that never came. It was by sheer coincidence that Lycoris had been struck with an illness and a few of the mercenaries remained after Gregory and his crew had gone to obtain the compensation, unaware the nobleman had set them up. Framing the mercenaries as the outlaws that terrorized his lands Lycoris was forced to watch her adoptive brother and his comrades to be hanged, and yet what hurt her the most was when Gregory whispered for her to live on. If he had told her to rush in to save him, she would have done so, but instead she was told to live on… and so Lycoris and the remaining mercenaries vowed an oath: they would amass power, wealth and allies and claim revenge on the man who took their beloved family apart. Lycoris knew all too well that it wouldn’t be an easy task to accomplish. The corrupt nobleman was a man of power and influence, and she doubted her word would hold much sway with the authorities, so instead she would have to find an alternative. She didn’t knew a solution yet, but she was determined that in due time she would be able to obtain the things she desired. Nonetheless, she was still quite weak compared to her target, and lacked both wealth and allies, so her first course of action was to find suitable jobs and obtain the allies she needed. A difficult plan for sure, but at the same time there was one event that stirred her story truly in motion: One of the mercenaries had send her a letter that said they had found what appeared to be the remains of a hidden stash belonging to the Gardenias Mercenaries, and most mysterious was the fact one particular asset of its contents addressed Lycoris herself: A letter written by Gregory himself, speaking about a secret that Lycoris never knew. What type of secret could it be, and what was so important that he couldn’t have told her before? She had no idea, but she was determined to find out, and so she prepared to travel to the location written in the letter, hoping to discover what secrets Gregory had carried into his grave...
