In theory, Fire should be the more superior element as it has more strengths than weaknesses, and water should be the less superior as it has 2 weaknesses. (nature being as balances as any other element, with arguable versatility. )

But based on quantity of mages and common elements, Light and Water are more superior towards Racial Damage, and Light is most effective to magic as darkness is most common.

So safe elements with few people who have your weakness is Earth/Wind/Lightning, as there are a decent amount of Fire magics out there.

just an observation.
