It was a beautiful day. The sun was bright, the clouds filled the sky. In fact, Vali was simply trying to join what was left of Crocus at this point. He wore dark shades and a light hooded jacket. Of course, like always, the hood covered his bright colored hair. He wasn't trying to run into trouble today, he was simply trying to make his way to the art gallery. Unlike his Viking counterparts, he found all types of art interesting. They all spoke words that didn't exist. One piece of art could mean many different things. And so with a slight pep in his step, he made his way to the Artisans building ready for a day of total relaxation. From the distance though, he could smell something burning and it was coming from the exact direction he was headed. With a groan, he tried to ignore it but as he closed the distance he knew that he would not witness the beauty of Fiorian art. As he moved closer to the Artisans building, he could see nearly the entire bottom floor on fire. People were running out, screams filling the air alongside the thick dark-colored smoke. Vali clenched his jaw. Part of him wanted to help the innocent civilians, but the more immature side of him couldn't help but laugh at the limbless people who crawled from inside the building. With his fist over his mouth to cover his laugh, he watched and for a good long minute too until he noticed a familiar scent. Then it hit him... "Wait... did she actually do this? In broad daylight?" Vali twitched. |
The Art of Destruction [Yumi]

Crimson hues watched with an eager desire for blood as their owner stood in the middle of the bottom floor of the Artisan building. A strong desire to bring about destruction and chaos could be seen reflecting within those demonic hues. Their owner, the five-foot-tall daemon lolita known as Yumi was brimming with the need to bring about death. A great heat was forming within her very core as the demoness began to overflow with magical energy. Yumi cared not for the beautiful pieces of art around her, from the paintings to the sculptures or even the ornamental weapons and armour. All she sought was destruction and death. She cared very little for mortal lives as evidenced by the overwhelming killer intent that was unleashed from her body. A powerful aura of fear was awoken as the lolita transformed taking on her true form, horns sprouting from her head, demon wings appearing from her back and a tail growing out of her tailbone. The temperature rose around the demon to tremendous levels overwhelming the populace as the sheer heat hit them. The heat was overpowering as crimson flames flickered in the demon's eyes. "Funeral Flame: Inferno," Yumi spoke softly but the words reached the ears of those around her on the bottom level. Her foot stomped loudly on the ground cracking the ceramic tiles on the impact. A large crimson red circle formed beneath her and expanded out covering an eight-meter diameter area around the lolita. Liquid fire poured out from the circle and exploded violently transforming into a pillar of crimson fire. The fire roared loudly as it erupted consuming Yumi and everything around her in an eight-meter diameter area. The flames greedily consumed everything around them as if they had an insatiable hunger. Black smoke filled the room as the flames devoured all in their path. In the middle of the raging inferno stood Yumi completely unharmed.

Vali watched in awe as the flames of Yumi's spells consumed the entire bottom floor. Honestly, this was frustrating for the Viking King because he was really looking forward to seeing the artwork of renowned artists. Now, they would have to replace all of the expensive pieces with other expensive pieces that probably wouldn't be ready for viewing for months. Vali watched... "Fool, are you trying to bring attention to yourself?" Vali had managed to see the fire and had also managed to remember the mechanics of it, however, using a spell like that would probably damage himself. He wasn't like Yumi; a daemon immune to destruction. Still, it would probably be useful to have, so he absorbed it. When the fire settled he found Yumi standing in the middle of ash, and dead people. "Well Ms. Carnage, I do hope you managed to blow off some steam because if you stay here any longer it'll be a platoon of Rune Knights, Holy Knights, and possibly Royal Knights on your ass." He said to her, clear as day. "Maybe you should think about leaving death and destruction for when the sun isn't out." He said scratching his head. Yumi was unstable. While the Titan himself did have a few issues to work out, everything he did was calculated for the most part. Yumi, however, had no regard for the law of life, the law of consequence, or the law of law for fuck's sake. She was well needed and putting herself out there unnecessarily could potentially cripple the team. Funeral Flame: Copied |

The crimson flames settled calmly at Yumi's feet like an obedient puppy. The flames hugged at the lolita's legs clinging tightly but didn't burn here in the slightest. The demoness was immune to the flames of her own magic. Allowing her to maximise its destructive capabilities. The smell of charred corpses and burning flesh didn't seem to bother the demon as her wings folded but remained. The blacktail growing from her spine with a spear-like tipped flicked back and forth in excitement as her horns glistened menacingly in the light reflecting from the bright flames. Crimson hues turned to lock onto the form of a familiar acquaintance. "Why yes, I am." Yumi didn't deny what she was doing, clearly stating she was bringing attention to her actions by burning the artisan building. "It's so boring to act under the cover of night. There's so much more exciting to cause chaos in the day." The crimson flames reignited with a loud roar as they consumed Yumi's body. Yumi showed no fear at the mention of the Rune Knights, Holy Knights or Royal Knights. The demon had a vendetta with the first two and if the thirds group tried to intervene she would annihilate them as well. "I have grown significantly stronger since last we met. If those foolish enough attempt to stand in my way they will be incinerated." A powerful magical aura was unleashed that tore the ground beneath the lolita apart. The magical energy she radiated was almost double that of when they had last met. The raging inferno moved as the sound of heavy footsteps could be heard from the staircase behind her. The inferno flew towards the stairwell and engulfed it. The sound of agonising screams filled the air as bodies fell crashing into the ground. The melted armour of Rune Knights revealed their identities. "If they're smart enough they'll stay away from me." Raising her hand, Yumi aimed it above Vali's head and clicked her fingers. A magical circle appeared at the end of her hand. A magical circle appeared a distance behind Vali before crimson fire rained down engulfing another Rune Knight who had snuck around by the entrance Vali had entered by. The raining fire entered his armour and burned into flesh. The knight screamed and dropped to the ground, rolling around to try and put the flames out. The floating magical seal followed the rolling knight continuing to pour down flames.

Yumi was almost an entirely different person. The flames of her magic roared, tearing the building around them down. Every second seemed to be a second closer to total destruction for this place. Just like that, Yumi had managed to turn a landmark into shit. The little woman was extremely confident in herself, cocky in fact. All around them people had been fighting for their lives. Women, children, and men had all been crying for help. Soon this area would be flooded by Knights because the Witch of Carnage was a highly wanted criminal. The Viking King himself was shaken a bit by her excessive power. Naturally, Yumi didn't care what time it was, she expressed that she found it more exciting to cause chaos during the day. The young noble raised an eyebrow and nodded. "Hm." If he was as reckless as her he probably would have been on similar timing, alas his goals required more discreet maneuvers. The daemoness continued to speak, sharing with the titan that she had grown significantly stronger since they last saw each other. That was obvious and Val nearly winced at the thought. Unlike her, he had been significantly weakened- at least for the time being. Suddenly the ground beneath her cracked, causing the ground beneath the area to rumble. Then again, her fire roared. This time it destroyed what was behind her. All the young Jarl could do was watch. He was intrigued by who she was and what she stood for. With a snicker, he responded. "We both know that they are not that smart, aye? So how about not killing any more innocent bystanders." He was truly amazed at what he saw. Although the Artisans building was becoming nothing by the second, Vali had managed to witness art after all; the art of destruction. "I have been trying to stay off the radar and enjoy the little time I have left in the capital, but I guess I cannot now." He said calmly. He could smell multiple fragrances and body odors collectively traveling towards them and knew that they were already close. Just then, Yumi had lifted her finger, snapped it and caused a magic circle to appear in the air behind Vali, causing rain to fall and forcing the Knight behind him to add his voice to the sea of cries and grunts. The Titan turned his head to watch the scene take place, absorbing the spell at the same time."And here they are... he smirked as the rune knight's skin bubbled before his eyes. About 35 meters away he could see about two hundred Knights marching with one man in the front holding a large golden spear and white fitted armor. The large army stopped 30 meters away. "Hm. They brought an entire army in your honor, Witch." he said with a smirk. His head twitched slighty just as his fingers did. The monster in him; the spirit of Fenrir, was eager to devour. Then, the man with the golden spear picked up a device and placed it to his mouth to enhance the volume of his voice. "Witch of Carnage, on behalf of the Council and the Kingdom of Fiore, you are to be detained. We have orders to bring you in alive or dead. We outnumber you, you will not win, so do not make this harder than it needs to be." The Viking Lord turned so that each of his shoulders faced Yumi and the army. His head turned to Yumi, tucking lips before he turned his attention towards the army. With a shrug, he scratched his head. "I don't know... my money's on the woman." he shouted. "Sir, we advise you to raise your hands, and slowly move towards us. This woman is extremely dangerous." Vali shook his head, waving both of his hands as if he was didn't want to be involved. "Oh no no no, I'm with her, ha." Intense Flame: Burn: Copied |

Yumi laughed maniacally as the flames returned to her side. The two flames one larger than the other clung to her sides in a tender embrace. The heat filled the building turning it into an oven as walls crumbled and collapsed. It wouldn't be long before the floor gave out and the building started to collapse. "Innocent bystanders? The perfect souls, ones whose soul hasn't been drowned in blood. Witnessing their eternal torture under my lord's hand fills me with joy." The demon remarked, killing innocent or tainted souls meant nothing to her. Every soul was up for the taking to be offered to her demonic god. Yumi's eyes burned as she heard the loud marching of heavy armour approaching the building. The entrance had been burned down leaving a gaping hole for all to see the events that were transpiring. The lolita couldn't help but lick her soft pink lips in excitement as she spotted the incoming army of two hundred Rune Knights. She showed no trace of fear as the large battalion stood thirty metres away, only excitement within those demonic hues. At the forefront a Knight in white armour carrying a golden spear spoke. it seemed they were here to take her dead or alive. He claimed that she couldn't win. The demoness started to approach the front of the entrance, slowly closing the distance. Her head was cast down but her shoulders were shaking. A giggle escaped her lips that carried on the air as it echoed loudly. Soon that giggle turned into soft laughter that transformed into a full-blown psychotic laugh. The demon threw her head back exposing a terrifying visage. Her lips had twisted into a psychotic and deranged smile that didn't fit such a young face. Her eyes were widened revealing pure insanity. "Hahaha! Outnumber me! How laughable! I've wiped out thousands of you foolish knights! Not even the hundred strong battalion sent through the seighart mountains stood a chance against me!" Yumi's voice had changed, it was twisted with a strong demonic tone to it. A strong killer intent erupted from her body bursting forth like a dam. Black tendrils of magical energy tore through the air as the symbol of Malum lit up on her back for all to see. A matching symbol appeared on the ground beneath the demon as her aura of fear was let loose. A strong pressure crashed into the knights knocking them back as a terrifying visage appeared behind the demon. An ocean of blood swept around the demon as an island of bones appeared. in the middle of the island was a gigantic throne made of skulls that dwarfed the artisan building. Seated upon the throne of skulls was a colossal figure, a demon covered in the blackest of armour. Horns grew from his head as the helmet he wore took the shape of a wolf skull. In the demons, the right hand was a giant battleaxe. The screams of a million tormented souls echoed out from the demon God. "May Malum have mercy on your souls for I shall not! I offer your pitiful lives to him, sacrificing you so he may become whole again and invade this world to bring an era of chaos and destruction!" Yumi roared as her wings expanded. The demon removed the long staff from her back, her axe had long since been sold. Crimson flames surrounded the staff as she thrust it forward like it was a spear. A magical circle appeared at the end of the staff as fire spewed out. A loud cry bellowed out as the flames transformed. A massive amount of crimson flames engulfed a thirty-two-meter diameter area in front of Yumi that took the shape of a Vermillion Bird. The giant phoenix comprised of red flames stretched its wings and released a loud domineering cry as it dove down, sweeping across the battalion of Knights. "BURN! HAHAHA" Yumi roared with insane laughter.

And just like that this show was finally starting. Vali decided to sit this one out since it was best if he absorbed each spell his acquaintance was using rather than involving himself. At his current strength, he would hardly pose a threat. Plus, it looked like Yumi's spells were just as destructive as she was. He doubted that she'd care if he happened to be caught in the middle. With a smirk he watched the events unfold. His hands remained in his pockets as he took a step back. The Knights were in for a very rude awakening, but Vali was interested to see how the man with white armor and the golden spear would suffice. "Seighart, aye?" Vali thought to himself. Then, Yumi began rambling on about sacrificing these men to her demon god. If she cared about not provoking the Knights then she wouldn't have said it, but of course, she reeked of confidence. The young Jarl was just happy to have such a being on his side. Despite being a warrior, he often found himself straying from the Viking way and becoming more involved in politics. Fiore wasn't his country and his people were low on everything needed to live substantial lives, so choosing the right Allies and playing it smartly was the wisest thing to do. The Witch of Carnage would do him justice in the future just as he would do for her. Vali shrugged at the man leading the army of Knights. It was such a beautiful day that even the grunt knights seemed to be not in the mood to deal with this. The Knight Leader raised an eyebrow at Vali when he admitted to being with The Witch. Obviously, he hadn't a clue who Vali was, especially with his hooded jacket, shades, and other normal clothes. Then Suddenly the Titan's eyes shifted towards Yumi. Standing beside her now, he watched as she conjured a large flaming bird before sending it towards the army of men. The spell moved so quick that in no more than a second or two they were all engulfed in her flames. Vali's eyes widened beneath the shades. as every knight and anyone else within range was completely caught in the flames of Yumi's firebird. It was magnificent. The screams of the Knights filled the air, and in seconds when the flame finally had become nothing all that remained was Rune Knights running around themselves in flames. They were being cooked alive. Down to the white armored Knight."Huh... I was convinced that one was going to put on a show." Vali folded his arms as his eyes shifted towards Yumi. "That's about two hundred Knights. You know that they won't be this easy on you forever, right, Witch?" Chasing Sun: copied |

"Burn little piggies burn! Feel your souls burning within my flames! Remember this feeling as you burn for all eternity!" Yumi roared in the middle of her psychotic laughter. The crimson flames of her phoenix spread like wildfire under her command. The beast flew through the air with ease, spreading destruction and mayhem. The smell of charred remains filled the air as smoke blacked out the sun. The fire spread to the surrounding buildings engulfing them sending people running. Yumi stood amongst the flames unharmed, she was embracing the chaos. "Hahaha! They can send more if they please!" Yumi responded turning to face her fellow comrade. The demon showed no fear in those blackened hues. Yumi was a creature who fully embraced death, she was not afraid of it for she knew even in death her soul would continue to live on serving loyally at the feet of the Demonic God she worshipped. "Send a thousand I'll kill a thousand. Send ten thousand I'll slaughter ten thousand! No matter how many come at me or who appears before me I'll burn them to a crisp." Arrogance, or perhaps just sheer confidence in her abilities, Yumi didn't care who or how many approached her. Magical energy fluctuated from the lolita's tiny body as wisps of black fog leaked out from the marking on her back. The symbol of the Demonic God Malum shined a bright crimson red as the wisps of fog leaked into the bodies of the dead and returned to Yumi. "Two hundred souls I offer to you, my Lord! May your power grow stronger!" Yumi clapped her hands together in prayer as she chanted in tongues. The language belonging to the denizens of the Abyss flew from her lips as she prayed. As her hymn came to an end the demonic lolita sneered. "It's not enough. More souls are needed to restore my God's strength." Yumi tsked in mild annoyance before a strong bloodlust leaked out from her. "Or perhaps the quality of the soul wasn't good enough. Perhaps I should try those of royal blood." The demon mumbled to herself appearing in deep contemplation. She turned her gaze towards the Mercurius, a bloodthirsty smile spreading across her soft features. "I've always wondered what it would be like to kill a King!" Yumi looked back at Vali revealing her deranged expression,"Do you think they would die a warriors death or snivelling like a coward on their knees?"

Vali was almost in complete awe as Yumi had managed to destroy all of her foes. It was nothing more than a game for the Witch of Carnage. The Viking blinked. He was content with knowing that this woman was an ally. Not only was she wickedly strong, but she was also completely deranged. Wicked. She boasted about her demon god every moment and even prayed to him. The Werewolf watched as their souls were drawn to her, collected for the one she served. Vali was quiet. A slight smirk sat on his face. He didn't fear her, though he had every reason right to. Vali could not wait for the day to come where he could stand against her, and win. For now, he would embrace this moment in history. People would talk about this very event for years remembering and subconsciously honoring the Witch of Carnage and her God. Vali was not yet at her level, he had a long way to god. These lifeless bodies didn't contain enough souls for her lord. The frustration could be seen her face, but soon withered upon having another idea; Royal souls. She even mentioned her wondering what it was like to kill a king. "Hmhm."The Jarl chuckled with a nod. He understood noble souls would prove more valuable so he did not judge. "In my country, men would face death fearlessly. We await Valhalla and die like true warriors... this country worships a god who embraces cowards, so I imagine they will die in fear." he stated calmly. Even Yumi would not be able to make the Icebergan people die in fear. Vali turned to look at the burnt bodies scattered across the ground. With a sigh, he turned back to Yumi. "Yumi..." he began. His smirk dropped and revealed a sense of seriousness. "I hope you're ready." he stated, referring to the attack on the Cathedral that they had planned. Vali was ready, but he wasn't exactly up to par in power. In fact, he was sure that this would probably cause his warrior's lives, but it was the price he had to pay for the greater good. His men would die happy serving their Jarl. For he was the one favored by all of the gods. If it all came down to it, he would have his Nekomata team set up so that he could easily escape. Vali was indeed ready. With nothing more to be said, Vali would turn to leave. He didn't have the strength to face any enemies should they approach now. - EXIT - |
