So tell the gun to sin Like an angel with the dirty wings Tainted by tastes of the soul This is another level Deep in | "It's been a while, hasn't it Ms.Queen?" Those words brought back the sense of familiarity that engulfed her. It had been so long she had been to this place. Nostalgia hit her as she recalled her beginning days as a Knight. Her mind immediately went to Crocus where she had first started carrying out her duty. During that time, she had the privilege of meeting Batra, the owner of the local inn. He had taken more care of her than she realized. The familiar scent of the food had hit her as she entered the building. It was a surprise that Batra even remembered her but she was happy that he vain and immature efforts at that time helped someone. It seemed as if the man was aware of her presence within Crocus as she had received a letter from him that morning, asking her to meet with him. The locals gathered around tables and laughed, enjoying their food as the blonde sauntered over to the counter where Batra stood cleaning glass as he glanced at her with a smile. She was quite surprised to be called out like that but the blonde, now being much more social than she was before, started conversation as they first talked about the town and other casual topics. However, it didn't take him long to cut to the chase as he informed her of his endeavour. It appeared that one of his customers was conned and she was to retrieve the money that was taken. The job itself seemed simple enough but the problem was finding the con artist. Luckily, Batra was quite well known and respected for the way he took care of his customers. His diligence proved to get rid of her doubts as he described the man's appearance and revealed his name to Kyle. It seemed as if this con artist roamed the streets familiarly, closer to the inn where he would con people. That would perhaps become the blonde Knight's greatest advantage. She exited the inn, wasting no time to look around as her lilac eyes scanned through the crowd looking for anyone that would match his appearance but it was rather expected for him to be hiding within the alleyways, away from sight especially if he was lingering outside a place where he could easily be recognized. In the setting afternoon sun, she entered the dark and narrow paths of the alleyway, looking around cautiously until her eyes landed upon a man with curly black hair and a thin, lean and short figure. "Kyle?" She called out and her suspicion proved to be right as he turned his head to face her. His eyes widened and the cigarette bud in his hand fell. That was surprisingly easy as she had cornered him in the alleyway. He would either have to get past her or get caught as the other end was blocked by a concrete wall. "Give me the money you scammed from Batra's customer." He tried to run past her but she caught the collar of his shirt and slammed him against the wall, enough to scare him into handing her over a bag with jewels. |

So tell the gun to sin Like an angel with the dirty wings Tainted by tastes of the soul This is another level Deep in | That was too easy, or so she thought as she visited Batra again to hand over the money. As he scrutinized the content of the bad, he came to realize that the money was in fact fake. "Go find Kyle. He must be trying to run away." Without a moments hesitation, she made a run for it, not only because she felt at fault for bringing fake money and that she could potentially be the reason someone does not get back the money that was taken from them, but also because she hated the idea of being conned herself. He was, after all, a con artist for a reason. Considering the fact that she had already found him within the town and her shorts revealed the insignia that expressed her alliance to the Knights, she anticipated that he would try to escape the town. So instead of returning to where she last saw him, she bolted towards the entrance of the town, blazing and zooming past people as she hoped to catch him before he exited. She ran until her breaths became heavy and the crowd slowed her down but she couldn't let him go. Lilac eyes scanned the hoard of people that surrounded her and fortunately for her, Kyle's hair had a rather peculiar and unique look to it. His afro stuck out among the crowd. Her eyes widened as they landed upon him. She waltzed through the crowd as sweat drenched her. People pushed against her, dragging her away but there's no way she could back down. The blonde exited the crowd and moved to the corner, running towards the entrance there with her eyes glued on Kyle who was starting to fall behind. Once she knew that he was behind her, she re-entered the crowd, watching him the whole time. The Knight stood before him, blocking his path as he ran. His eyed widened briefly before squinting down as his pace picked up. He was planning to run past her, hoping to knock her out by force but the female had no intentions of doing so. As he neared, she swiftly took one step to the right until he was in the same line as her. her left hand grabbed his arm, turning him to face her by force as her right hand grabbed onto the collar of his button down shirt. Her legs split about a meter apart and wasting no time, she used her right hand to lift him by force and pull him forward, throwing him on the ground before twisting his arm behind his back. Perhaps her anger and annoyance was displayed through that action as he screamed a little but this time, she dragged him back to Batra as the con artist seemed to have developed a fear towards the blonde. Over there, her glare remained consistent as he handed the money over to Batra who once again thoroughly checked the content of the sack of jewels before nodding in approval. Only then did she let go of Kyle's arm that was painfully twisted behind his back. |
