Ianthe sipped the tomato soup from her spoon quietly as she looked over the requests she plucked from the request board earlier in the day. The soup was the right temperature to drink down, enough to enjoy it with burning her tongue. She arrived in the beautiful city a few days ago and she marveled at everything around her. Today just happened to be one of those rainy days, the one where it was better to relax inside and just listen to it. Ianthe was unfortunately not able to just relax, she had to keep working and keep moving if she wanted to be recognized and become strong enough to help others and maybe one day see her homeland again. Trying to remember it now was hazy work. It saddened her quite a bit when she couldn’t remember anything about the place, not even the name. But she knew seeing it would jog her memory so she had to keep working, making jewels, and traveling the land until she found it. Ianthe finished off the last of her soup and took the final bites of a grilled cheese sandwich before placing all but one request into her cloak’s pocket. A flash of lightning filled the sky followed by a burst of thunder. Ianthe furrowed her brow as she looked out the window, she didn’t wanna go out there with all that messy weather. With a heavy sigh she paid for her meal and tightened the cloak around her shoulders, throwing the heavy hood over her head. Grabbing her clear plastic poncho she bought recently, Ianthe threw that on too while making sure the hood for it covered her own cloak fully. Reading the request she had in her hand once more she made her way out of the cafe and towards the Inn where the person who made this quest was.
The rain wasn’t so bad with ponch protecting her and it didn’t take long to make it to the inn. Wasting little time she made her way to the bar keepers area and pulled out the request. “ Uh hello sir, I’m looking for Batra. “ Ianthe’s voice was steady even amongst the rowdy sounds of the Inn’s bar. “ Ah that would be me, you must be here for my request. Good, that’s good. Now to give ya the short and simple I’m having a little problem. A good customer of mine got scammed out of his money. We all know who’s done it so if you could just go track the little weasel down and get the money back I would be thankful beyond words. His name is Kyle, here is a picture so ya don’t miss him. “ Barta slid a image of the man named Kyle toward Ianthe and she quickly picked it up to examine. Nodding her head she placed the image in her pocket and made her way back into the rain. A frown came to Ianthe’s face as she walked around the city streets in the pouring rain. Who knows how long it would take to find this person, especially in this rain he would most likely be inside of a building somewhere. With frustration building up she knew this would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Rubbing her hands across her eyes, the moment of blindness caused her to run right into something or someone.
