Accused, held at gunpoint and almost burnt to a crisp; they'd barely made it out of that Predicament. Brunhilde was lucky and managed to get out unscathed and with her life. It took most of her guile to escape that Rune Knight but after splitting up with her sister, she used the rest of it to figure out a plan that would reconvene her with her. Brunhilde already knew of their next location, but it was obvious she and Ashe weren't going to stick around Orchidia and so after reconvening with Ashe, they were on their course to Magnolia. Thanks to Ashe, she'd saved them from going to Magnolia on foot by hitching a ride on a merchants wagon in the dead of night.
The only sounds were the horse's feet pattering against the cobbled ground and the wheels creakily rotating. Occasionally they'd hit holes in the road and the whole wagon would shake, it seemed rickety, almost like it would fall apart after the next bump they hit but it didn't. It held together. Unlike her sister, she didn't sleep but stared up at the dark starry sky, silently. Night time was peaceful and silent, a time for her to re-evaluate without disturbances. She rarely had the time to herself which meant she could on do this during travels. Brunhilde's eyes glazed over as a million thoughts flew through her head, including the events that transpired today but more so why she couldn't sleep; what the knight said to her and how Ashe treated her. Like a dog. Thinking of these things brought up terrible memories she never wanted to recall, again. Memories of her father and how he treated her and how her mother just let him in fear of getting hit herself. Such unpleasant things she thought, Brunhilde clenched her fists in a state of rage, but it soon faded and turned into sorrow and self-hatred as she recalled what happened to her mother and father. At her hands. It was all too much for her, all too soon, even if it happened years ago...
Soon she awoke, implying she'd dozed off sometime during the night. Immediately, her eyes burned at the bright light shining in her eyes. Brunhilde hissed and tried to sit up, closing her eyes and throwing her arm over her face to shield her vision. Short-lived as she sprang up after Ashe and faded into one of the bustling crowds behind her sister.
