It can either be sent forward in a straight line or hover in front of Ianthe for a single post before vanishing. If sent out in a straight line the trajectory of the butterfly can be changed at the cost of double the mana. The butterfly moves at 20 m/s and has a 5 meter range

From the magic circle black roots shoot out around the outer edges of the magic circle, leaving her in the middle and free of the roots. The roots spread out in a 1 meter diameter as an AOE. Those who come in contact with the roots will find themselves bound to the roots and unable to move unless the target's strength is of higher rank than the rank of the bind or the target can break out of the bind if they spend the equivalent mana cost to the binding spell.
