#1Requiem

Requiem
Requiem got up early in the morning and looked out the window, "well, looks like a lovely day for a ride." The winter was actually quite mild compared to other years, with hardly any snowfall. She got out of bed, her quilt wrapped around her body and she made her way to the showers.

Requiem enjoyed a nice soak before finally getting down to business. I wonder if he'll remember me. She had been a little sad that Baron seemed to have forgotten her, but he also seemed to have undergone a huge change. Maybe he was healed up now. A few minutes of packing the few things she had was all she needed before heading out to the stables, "is he ready?"
"Woah! Woah.... easy fella. Yep, this guy's got his saddle and everything"

Requiem thanked the stable hand and easily mounted her horse, "I don't think I've come up with a name for you yet. Brutus?"
The horse looked at her and shook it's head.
"Monty?"
Another shake.
She carefully navigated the horse through the streets as they headed towards the gates and then kicked into a gallop down the road. Horse riding was one of the few things she had done back home before being kicked out and Requiem had learned she was good at it.

The young woman folded her ears back as her hair billowed in the wind. A bird swooped down and kept pace with her before swerving off into the bushes for its breakfast. The miles vanished beneath the horse's hooves. They reached Baska by midmorning and she headed to an Inn for a quick meal and let her horse graze and rest as she considered her plans, mainly she would work her way back to Era and focus on her goal. But to do that she would have to make herself known. And that bothered her a bit given her run in with her sister.

Requiem shook her head and was back in the saddle after an hour. The sun in the clear sky shone brightly as she passed small villages, occasionally picking up and dropping off letters on her route. For the most part, it was a nice day as she finally arrived in Orchidia in half the time it normally took her. She stopped at the stable and handed the reins to the stable hand, "how about Tempest?" The horse looked at her and licked her. Requiem smiled as she headed into town.
