Kincaid wasn't exactly thrilled to be doing a quest at a bakery, despite his love for sweets and treats, but he didn't even get to bake any. Instead he would be doing deliveries all day which didn't sound as bad as it probably was, not that he would say anything. Instead those same striking eyes would remain as uninterested as they often tended to be. A natural state of boredom.
Stepping into the building his senses were blessed with an assortment of different scents, each one stronger than the last and for good reason. This shop owner had apparently been making a shit ton of cupcakes for the many customers he'd had in Magnolia, and Kincaid could admit he was a frequent shopper there. The red velvet treats he made were too delectable to resist and in that moment he found himself with a watering mouth.
The young mage would shake his head and compose himself, refocusing on his mission and would approach Olly. He'd stop however and watch with an amazed expression as the young man was a whirlwind of skill and grace, whipping up tiny cakes faster than Kincaid could register in his head. It was impressive and the time and dedication he put into his craft paid off seemingly.
Kincaid didn't even have to introduce himself, Olly had already seen him and began debriefing him on the ten locations he would need to drop the goods off. Nodding attentively and writing down the locations he would wave the baker off and take two boxes of cupcakes, simple vanilla with multi-colored sprinkles, and a happy birthday note. So these were for a birthday party, how appropriate.
Coming prepared, Kincaid had brought a bike with a basket on the front end big enough to hold the boxes while he rode to the different homes and hopefully keeping the deliveries timely. So strolling over to his vehicle, he placed the boxed inside the basket securely and took off to the first home. It wasn't far, maybe a five minute ride or so and he was humming to himself the whole way there, just some random diddy.
Pulling up to the party location, he could see people outside setting up decorations on the fine morning and offered a bland smile before handing the boxes over. Hurrying back to his bike to return to the shop where he would be taking three boxes this time. It wasn't easy moving them into the basket this time as one managed to sway back and forth with each movement and so he would ride with one hand. The other securing the package at all times.
This trip was much slower even though the destination was closer but he managed to finally drop off the cupcakes to the apartment complex. A savory selection of delectable flavors and the like, with no real purpose tied to them; it almost made him jealous. Maybe he'd get some free cupcakes for his troubles when this was over? Not that he should of been motivated by food, but it was a definite bonus.
