Tomoe
Tomoe noticed a heavenly flash, and in an instant stopped his rush on the demon, stepping away from the giant with his movement like the wind. With his natural mannerisms as an assassin there was no evidence he was anywhere close, when combined with his supernatural speed as somebody accustomed to a life of dashing in and out of the lives of others. It was in that moment of fleeting foot he noticed a falling damsel amidst the chaos. Careless as it was, he also noticed a moment's vulnerability in the beast begging to be capitalized on after the earth-quaking attack. Whoever it was had to wait and be helped later - or so Tomoe thought, until noticing the familiar figure of a guild mate fall into his vision.

"Fuck's sake...", Tomoe muttered under his breath, and following that made a Lunge towards her with his hands outstretched.

He would catch her fall, absorbing the impact by himself and staying strong due to his physicality, and quickly set her down without another thought.

"Fuckin' hell, don't be so reckless!", he shouted with his back to her, already dashing towards the demon without weapons and without care.

Breaking into a full sprint, he would collide foot-first into the demon, using the momentum of a 10 m/s dash to impact the demon with the force of a torpedo enhanced by his body's innate capability to break and destroy without effort. It was an all-out attack, attempting to cripple the demon further or perhaps destroy it entirely depending on the severity of its wounds. There was no room for defense with the rush, adrenaline encompassing the Joyan's entire being as he became one with the night's wind. It wasn't to save the people or to even fight against and destroy evil - it was because this thing broke his damn sword! That was a sin worthy enough of atonement through death. The money he'd need to fork over for a new one would set back his drinking and whore money, and that just wouldn't do. A furious flame was in his eyes, unwavering towards his target.

"Shove off, you gutter trash piece of shit!"

Maybe I should use surge to launch myself toward the wall? The dive of the dishy Desiertian gathering pace as she tried to think of a method of landing that would keep her in the fight, Miss Connors paused as she weighed up her options to keep her body in one piece as her hair ruffled thanks to gravity’s hold, recognising that she might have been a little hasty in her planning as she did so.
Or if I did it just before I landed, would it cancel out my momentum? Quick to act but times like this reminding her of her recklessness, without a little bit of magic it appeared that the lightning lass was going to end up with quite the number of bruises and maybe a few breaks as well regardless of what she did, or at least that was what she thought.

“Oof!” Letting loose a mix of gasp and grunt as all of a sudden a pair of arms that she had in no way expected to appear suddenly wrapped around her body as she began to summon the mana she needed to carry out her improvised self-rescue, the bronze beauty blinked in surprise as her shape was seized by someone who seemed strong and surprisingly safe in his hands, before recognising her rescuer.
I know that face~! A grin spreading across Aisha’s face as the foreign femme found a sense of familiarity with the fellow who had acted as her landing mat, though Tomoe didn’t stick around long after snagging her from her fall, it was at least enough of an opportunity for observation for the amber amazon to clap her eyes upon features with which she was acquainted.

“Ahahahahaha, if it isn’t Tomoe~!” The skinny frame dusted with stubble and the bushy hair not far enough it a big clue, if these weren’t enough the way he barked so boisterously helped our heroine to recognise her guild mate and honestly she felt almost disappointed that she was dropped so quickly, really.
“Finally get your hands on me and then you’re running off already~?” Hopping back to her feet in a little show of acrobatics following her fall and bashing her knuckles together as her friend ran back toward their opponent, Miss Connors couldn’t help but joke as she ran after him, feeling as though she had been ‘jilted’ a little bit despite their circumstance.

“Perhaps Vali was right about him being the real lady’s man in the guild, eh?” Near as she could tell the Joyan not even trying to grab a cheeky handful of something or other whilst he had his mitts on her sublime shape, while she was largely using this fact as fuel to keep things light as they confronted the beast that was already recovering from the assault she had unleashed, as the wound she had inflicted began to close up the girl couldn’t help but feel a little let down by the lack of advances she had encountered. A little vain in her own way and also fond of rogues like this from time to time, despite how reasonable an idea it was that he was far too distracted by the demon to feel devilish himself, it was a hint disheartening to realize that maybe their scruffy samurai wasn’t into her in that way.

“HAAARRRRAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!”

The bronze beauty barely even flinching as the towering brute unleashed a wild howl before swiping at each of them in turn with vigour born from viciousness, one of each of those tree-sized limbs focusing on each of the fairies, thanks to that well of energy and athleticism that she had polished up over the years the mocha marvel was able to duck and roll out of the way of such strong but simple attacks. There simply no polish in what it did, despite the raw power that this titanic terror possessed it seemed all bark and no bite really, pushing the woman for certain but hardly seeming to live up to the potential that such size and regenerative capacity could yield when put into a trained set of hands, it might have been enough to catch your average civilian out but with how sluggish and lacking for sophistication the attacks of the demon were very few decent warriors would be overwhelmed by it.

“Though, I can’t help but think that I’m doing something wrong if you’d rather get physical with something like this thing over me~!” Whatever influence that Jack had instilled into her as she grew up something that prompted Aisha to put up a relaxed and somewhat carefree image when things got tough for her, she enjoyed the way that her mentor had always seemed so unflappable in the midst of battle and unconcerned with his enemies. Filled with tension but the mix of adrenaline and excitement seeming to make that melt away in moments as she fought, perhaps it spoke of her more ‘barbaric’ home country that the Desiertian felt so much more relaxed in the midst of battle than she did when left at home with nothing to do…

Tomoe
"Oi! There's time for flirting with gorgeous babes, and now ain't the proper time! Try me later. You won't be as easy on the eyes if this thing takes out your eyes!" Tomoe shouted, letting out a low chuckle afterwards.

Tomoe jumped back after his attack, avoiding the paws and swipes of the enemy. They were the valiant attempts of a teddy bear who's losing it's stuffing. Its attacks had no direction or vision, and lacked for any kind of reasoning behinds its motions. It was a sad display of a wounded rat on its way out of this world, cornered and struggling. For all of its size and noise for intimidation, it had zero substance to back it up. It reminded Tomoe of his own feral struggles as a kid learning how to fight, and almost took pity on the godforsaken creature for a moment before realizing it was just that - a godforsaken creature.

He was snapped to the moment, previously running his dodges against the simplistic barrage on autopilot, when Aisha continued speaking about doing something wrong.

"The fuck?! Girl, you're crazy! This thing could smash me into pieces if it fell on me! You doing the same would be a much more pleasant feeling. Let's not get 'em mixed up here!", he exclaimed with a baffled expression and letting loose a wink at his last lewd comment, aware and convinced that life or death situations were not the best place for flirtatious remarks.

Tomoe took a quick step away from the creature's range, scoffing at its speed but noticing its power and durability as nothing to laugh about. He stood in place for a moment knowing the creature wouldn't reach him for another few seconds, thinking about what he could do without his blade, and then a noise in the distance shook him back to reality just in time to avoid another strike. Off in the distance, he could hear the clanking of steel and shouting of voices all around. At once, a shudder and a feeling of relief quaked through him, knowing what it meant.

"'Ey, Aish! You may want to step back a sec! I think some knights are comin', and gods know what they plan to do to this thing when they get here!", Tomoe shouted to Aisha, hoping she would acknowledge the potential threat of many armed knights swarming a creature of this size.

The shadowy rogue would also step away, standing a distance such that the knights would be able to pass by him unhindered. He didn't particularly care for law enforcement in the first place, and the less attention and questions such as, "why were you over here?" the better.

"Annoying fuckers...", Tomoe muttered to himself, eyes as sharp and vigilant as a hawk to observe whatever was to happen next.

“Well, at least it’s good to know you don’t mind the idea me being on top~” Perhaps a little bit on the crazed side after all as she continued the coquettish bit of banter with her colleague despite the danger of their situation, or perhaps because of it, Miss Connors chuckled at the choice of words that her fellow fairy had let loose as well as his wink as the battle continued, eager to give both Tomoe and the titan just as good as she got.

“That’s usually my favourite position~” Thrilled by the moment and the chance to share it without someone who she found herself growing more fond of by the moment, as she batted away the swipe of their enemy with an electrically charged punch to teach the monster a lesson the dishy Desiertian couldn’t help but let loose in more ways than one, her excitement compelling her to reveal a little more than she perhaps would have in other circumstances. Not confined by the expectation of others and the ‘fight for your life’ situation one that seemed oddly freeing, if she couldn’t let loose a confession or two like this then when could she?

“Huh? W-Woah!” A little too caught up in the moment to really notice the entrance of the ‘shield of Fiore’ until Tomoe called out to her, as she turned her head to see what her guild mate was calling out to her about the bronze beauty yelped slightly as she found something lurching through the air not too far from her face, giving her a far bigger fright than their angry looking foe could ever manage. A spear thrown by someone who was perhaps not the most expert aim seeming to lead the a flurry of blows that launched through the air like a volley of arrows, as a Rune Knight captain yelled out orders to the men and women her had gathered, they responded by sending the sizeable weapons they had in hand surging through the sky like a rain that would seem like overkill were it not for the size of their opponent.

“HUUUUURRRRAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!”

The bellow bursting forth from the beast they battled as it found its ethereal hide being punctured by lance after lance, against any other foe the effort of the organized offensive would have turned their opponent into something resembling cheese from mountainous regions that seemed to border Bosco and Fiore, but against this one the result seemed a little more sedate and subdued. The demon turned into something that resembled a pincushion by the round of javelins that jutted out of its body, thought it was certainly slowed down by the efforts of the lawmen it wasn’t beaten by them either, merely seeming to growl as it looked at itself and then toward the mob of attackers as if it was saying “Is that all you have?” in a slightly gloating manner. Unfortunately for the demon, it wasn’t.

I could use this… They’re like lightning rods? Miss Connors surprised by the sudden appearance of the guardians of the realm but quickly realizing that their fevered support was something she could take advantage of, while she knew that she would probably drain most of her mana in the effort, the amber amazon knew that she could offer those spears a little something in order to really make their foe feel their presence.
“I hope you’re out of the way, Tomoe!!!” Taking a deep breath as she summoned every ounce of energy that she could draw upon in that moment and then howling a warning to her friend as she charged up a wicked current of electricity that surpassed the surging flow that she had developed to deliver her cleaving strike earlier, though her attack was improvised and unpractised and unlikely to hit anything with a reasonable amount of dodging skill, the advantage of conductivity was on her side as the warrior woman unleashed everything she had in a wild blast that surged in front of her with maximum prejudice.

“Hnnnaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!” Lighting raining out from the arms of Aisha as if she had a hose in each that belched out pure electrical force, thought the walls around her got a little scorched as loose ‘veins’ of voltage arced out in all directions, all too soon the efforts of electromagnetism took over and made her attack hit home with maximum force. The juice she was unleashing probably enough to power a block of the city for a whole day and certainly enough to make the monster they faced howl as it surged through the spears with a cacophonous crack, the bronze beauty narrowed her eyes as she sent her power shooting forward with every that she had, not letting up until she began to see that tall form beginning to rupture and then burst entirely from the massive voltage she had unleashed…

“Haaaaah… Haaaaahhhhh…” Rather pooped to say the least once she had vented practically the entirety of her mana reserves in one massive strike, to say that Aisha Connors was relieved when her opponent disintegrated in front of her eyes was an understatement, and even as she gasped for air after the attack she had unleashed she couldn’t help but wear a big grin on her face. Wiped out but her exhaustion kept at bay by the sense of elation that she felt at finishing such a fearsome enemy off, as the Lawmen of Magnolia rushed around to collect their now slightly fried weaponry and look at the damage that was done by the battle the amber amazon panted and wobbled her way over to something to rest her palm upon, feeling excited by rather woozy all the same.

“N-Not exactly… How I planned to spend… Our first night out together?” The shine of perspiration coating the face of the foreign femme and highlighted by the moon that hung overhead, Aisha chuckled as she turned to look how Tomoe was doing in the aftermath of the conflict and cracked a joke, hoping that her guild mate was OK. The bonds built by battle ones that were some of the firmest, the mocha madam had a new level of respect for the scruffy samurai who she called her guild mate, appreciating the efforts he had taken in the fight and the manner in which he had caught her when she was falling earlier on especially.

“Though it wasn’t all bad? Managed to get some hunk’s hands on me at least~” Not exactly the type who would fall in love with a man whose arms she happened to drop into but feeling a fresh sense of affection for the swordsman for the gallantry he had shown her, Miss Connors smirked toward her Joyan ally and tossed him a little wink as well as she reflected on what had occurred in a friendly fashion, turning herself around as she did so and placing her behind on a sturdy crate as she let herself recover for her endeavour.

“Though maybe we should at least grab a drink or something together, at least for the sake of appearances~?” Smiling as she sat down and choosing to focus on the playfulness of the situation rather than the anticipation of a fierce headache and probably the need of a nice hard sleep after what she had done, Aisha twisted her neck from one side to the other and felt an odd sense of satisfaction in the crunch that she head as she did so.

“After all, I don’t want Vali thinking I made it too easy on you~” Joking with Tomoe for the moment but knowing that she should probably get back to her search for the boy from before in short order, it was nice to have a moment to catch her breath but unfortunately there was more to be done tonight than this friendly flirting with a fellow fairy, and she likely wouldn’t lose her woes until she had confirmed that lad from before as well as the girl she had found bleeding in the magic shop were OK…

Tomoe
The flash of light blinded Tomoe, who had only just managed to get away from the destructive ray in time. Being how he was, normally the rogue would respond to a woman's flirtatious ways quickly in kind - but in this case, he was mesmerized by the glory of disintegration. As if exorcising a foul devil, the creature was nowhere to be found after that final attack. While somewhat shocked himself, there was a part of him that was also aroused in kind. He grinned and moved over to an exhausted Aisha and patted a hand on her shoulder, rubbing it, and perhaps gripping a bit longer than normal.

"Drinks sound great. I'll pay, o'course. That's just what I gotta do, after seeing a dazzling display from a dazzling lady.", Tomoe finally spoke with a wink, reciprocating her earlier quips towards him.

Dense as he was though, he did eventually catch on that Aisha's mind was occupied with other things - which was to be expected after the event that transpired here. After realizing this, he nodded his head as if acknowledging something never said, and raised a thumbs up with his trademark toothy grin.

"But you seem like you got stuff on your mind. We'll save it for another time, yeah? I'll call it owin' ya one for saving me back there!"

With that, Tomoe began walking further into the darkness of Magnolia, getting his potential first glimpse of what demons could do to Earthland. Even one as weak as that, summoned by a mage as incompetent as the one that pulled it off, was able to decimate alleys and required a force of knights and multiple guild wizards to take down. If this was the weak side of their forces, Fiore as a whole was in an unacceptable state to combat them or anything else. It was a reinforcement of the thoughts the wandering Joyan had been having since he arrived in this land - that it was all too soft for the many threats out there. Fiore was wasted potential made manifest.

Perhaps I should start thinking about what to do about him... Fiore's king...

With that thought, Tomoe disappeared into the shadows of the alleyways to place himself in a comfort zone to think things through more thoroughly.
