So apparently, the Knights had contracted some merchant into giving them a host of mounts. It made sense, given the threat of Incursions happening all over Fiore. They were meant to be the guardians of the people and the throne after all.
Now, it was unfortunate that Akira had lost her privileges, since she had a different role to play. But that didn't mean that she couldn't get her hands on one; the means would just be a tad shadier. She merely had to fool the merchant and reach him before he made his way to the Knights.
The Shimada knew who she was going to impersonate, the one person who in her eyes, didn't deserve the mount, nor did they deserve the title they had. 'I'm Captain Baldanti, I'm needed somewhere urgently, so I was told to find you, to collect my mount. You may collect my payment from the Headquarters when you deliver the rest.'
The whole process was much easier than she had anticipated. If only the Rune Knights invested a little bit more time in actually enforcing protocols they loved to bind her by. Within the hour, she was flying over the lush forest of Worth Woodsea on a beautiful Gryphon, who seemed to share her spark for the wicked and was on her way to Astera.
