Once he arrived at the surrounding forest he took off from the beaten path and ran through the trees. This is how they would have come and gone. This is how he would track then down. Once that was done he would make his way to nerva, finally ready to engage what freightening manner of demon he hunted for.
The nights were long on the road. His path through the wild kept him away from other travelers. Only the howls and hoots of animals accompanied him. He sat by the fire, staring at it. The faint memories of someone pushing at his mind but held back by the mental growl of the tiger within him. It seemed he had forgotten more than he thought in his haste to leave the town.
The dawn came and without a word he picked his gear up and began to walk away from the fire pit and animal remains from his late night hunt. A great beating of wings moved the branches above him. A large beast yelled out resonating between the trees. His Griffin had returned to him. It's face as serious now as Kazimir's.
With a quick jump the wind mage mounted his Griffin and they shot off at a pace the wind mage could never match on foot. Together they scanned the ground for movement. For any of the wind clan that remained in hiding.
