The sun started to rise over the horizon while rays of light started to bleed through the curtains and dance across Eustass’s face. The magnetism mage rubbed his eye sockets, trying to rub the tiredness out of his eyes, and sat up in the bed. Eric was passed out next to him, a sight that Eustass was still getting used to. Admittedly, Eustass was not used to constantly waking up to the same face, over and over again. But honestly, he had no choice but to stick around the other male, mainly because Eustass had no other place to go, or well that is what he told himself. Eustass was secretly starting to like the other male, but he did not want to admit that. For some reason, Eric was incredibly nice to Eustass, that made him a little uncomfortable. Likewise, the magnetism mage started to become a little annoyed with Eric’s sense of charity. It irritated him to a point that occasionally he wanted to toss Eric out the window. He needed to find some work just so that he could provide for himself, and so that he would not be so dependent on Eric. For that reason, Eustass would get his clothes on and sat out into the streets of Magnolia.

As he roamed the streets of Magnolia Eustass came to a magical drug shop, of course, being the delinquent that he was the shop caught his attention. Granted the shop probably did not sell anything illegal, but it would not help to see if they had the good stuff. Who knows, the shop keeper might surprise Eustass and be some sort of illegal magical drug dealer. What would be better is if the shop keeper had some sort of job or something for Eustass to do. He pushed open the door, where he was immediately greeted by an old man with a long beard and a pointed hat. The old wizard wore blue robes and he reminded Eustass of a grandfather of some sorts. The man would introduce himself as Khalash Saton, and after some probing Eustass would discover that Khalash did indeed have a job for him, and that he could make an elixir that increased the power of a mage. Of course, craving a little more power, Eustass certainly did not deny the man. Khalash informed Eustass that he needed some herbs and gave him the name and the location of the herbs that he needed. Without hesitation, Eustass left the shop and passed the gate, where he would make his way to the east forest to search for the herbs.

Roaming into the forest, Eustass decided to first collect a curly fern, which the old man said would be the easiest to find, and well wanting to get this over with he saw no reason dilly dally. He had a satchel that the old man gave him to keep the herbs in, just so that they would stay fresh. Therefore, when he found some of the curly fern, he placed it neatly in the satchel before searching for the second herb, which was a blue lichen. From what the old man said, this one was a bit harder to find, and that Eustass should look for a old rotten log. After fifteen minutes roaming the forest, and checking two or three logs, Eustass finally found the plant and placed it neatly into the satchel before going off to find the third plant. Which was obviously the hardest to find, and it took the longest, about twenty or thirty minutes to be exact. But after a while he managed to find the red leafed vine that was on a huge tree. After climbing said tree, Eustass tucked the herb into his satchel and returned to the old man. The old man would then make elixir from the herbs, and give it to Eustass, who drake it. A smile formed across his lips as he felt energy flow through himself, and he thanked the old man after receiving the jewels and left.
