More than that, Kaz had run far away. Run from the land he was at to chase down people in the wind clan. Run from his duties as a knight and tried to run away from what he was and what dwelt within him. He left a fragmented being. Torn between the animal spirit that called him to live wild and emotionless and the angel of wrath that burned in his soul. He fought against them until he realized that they were all part of himself. Something he had to live with and something that was put in his path for his own growth.
The wind mage walked onward with his old uniform stuffed in his bag and wore a new set now. One not reminiscent of either of the clans he came from. The only memento of that time was the white scarf around his neck. The thing that reminded him to stay strong and of the fiancee that he lost. Even though it was on hold for now, he still intended to end the lives of his old clansman.
He traversed the hills and mountains and looked back at the town only once. His griffon flew above. Arriving at the dense maze like forest, he was careful not to disturb in beasts that would make prey of any travelers. The worthwoodsea was a place he had never stopped at and for good reason.
Safely making it out of there, the beauty of the orchidian vines was in the distance. It brought back memories of the place he had spent so much time. He made allies and solved mysteries but there was no time to stop there.
The mountains of Sieghart loomed over the cityscape. A dry arid place that needed to be traversed slowly as not to fall of to ones peril. Traveling in the daytime made it easier but large flying creatures flew overhead threatening to come down for a midday snack.
Days later the mountains ended and it was smooth sailing. One of the largest cities in the region was now there. A place he had never been before and it was time to settle in and see what it was about. a quick stop and rest before getting into Era and back to the knights.
