Yumi sat at the little corner of her cafe table sipping an iced coffee. The sweet taste of cream ran down her throat and across her lips as the taste buds on her tongue danced. Enjoyed the sweet yet strong drink, the lolita looked up as she noticed someone approaching.

"What does this buffoon want now? Has he come with another task to eliminate the minions of this 'evil' lich that plagues oak town. Though it has been pretty lucrative for earning jewels, those beasts just aren't must competition. I've been able to deal with them using only a single blow of my axe wiping them out with ease. Hopefully, he brings he stronger undead to hunt, or the lich himself so I can end this pathetic game of cat and mouse. Once I'm finished here I'll head out to the Seighart Mountains, there have been removers of a werewolf in the area. I haven't fought a werewolf in some time and I look forward to sending them off as a sacrifice to Malum."

Yumi thought to herself of what she would do after hunting down this Lich. LEaving oak town seemed like a good idea, explore the region and find something else to do. She had been inactive for far too long and needed to get back in the game. Far away from civilization to hone her skills. Yumi was a loner by nature and not one to partake in the company of others for long periods of time.

"Ah...Miss Yumi, my master has another job for you." Looking up from her drink, Yumi gave the phantasm family spokesman a small nod indicating him to sit down. "You've been a great help dealing with the SKeletal Beast's and the Behemoth's created by the Lich. Thanks to you've were managed to discord the hiding place of the Lich. There has been noise coming from the swineherd pub. We believe the lich may be held up here. At the moment it has been left abandoned due to the chaos of the war. A perfect place to hide. We have confirmed the presence of a skeleton knight, an undead stronger than those you have fought. It will be marked as an A rank quest if you undergo this job and you will be rewarded accordingly."

Reaching into his coat jacket the spokesman removed a piece of parchment paper, the written contract for the job. Unrolling it he passed it across to the lolita sitting opposite him. Eying the parchment the demoness lazily picked it up with one hand and began to go over the contents. She needed to find and kill the Skeleton Knight then try and track down the Lich to finish his evils off once and for all. What did they think she was? Some kind of a detective? Yumi wasn't an investigator, she was a killer. If something needed to be killed than Yumi was the one for the job, not to track down some Lich. But times were hard and Yumi needed money.

"Very well I'll undergo the job. Not like there is anyone else around who can handle it for you. Everyone has been gathering in crocus lately for some unknown reason. Rumours are there is some gathering. The royals are handing gifts out with the start of the new years.' Yumi said as she collected the contract. Pricking a finger on one of her axe blades the demoness of Malum signed her name in blood. The ink burned into the paper as the contract began soul binding. Rolling the contract up Yumi stashed it in her dress and stood up intending to get this over and down with. The High Priestess of Malum wanted to go to the Seighart Mountains as early as possible. Once she was finished there she could head to Dahlia to deal with a recent Vampire outbreak.

Yumi really shouldn't be bothered with the acts of the other races. Liches, Vampires and Werewolves tended to be of a darker persuasion like herself so why should she be interfering in their affairs? But money was money and money did talk. Once she had enough she could buy that spell immunity for her own magic, so she wouldn't end up burning herself when she unleashed the power of Napalm Magic. But most of all she wanted to earn a large number of jewels just encase she saw something nice while out shopping.

Pulling herself from her thoughts, the demoness strolled down the streets of Oak onwards to the swineherd pub. How many years had it been since she had drunk in that place? It had been many moons now, especially since being trapped in the abyss for the last few years. It had been a worthwhile experience to strengthen her demonic powers and resolve. Raising her right hand, a crimson flame formed. The heat was overpowering as the surrounding air was burnt by the red hot flame. Snuffing the flame out Yumi smirked at the source of newfound strength that would allow her to burn the world asunder like she had been planning.

It wasn't long before the demonic lolita found herself at the Swineherd Pub. Already she could chaos going on inside as things were thrown around. Many of the windows had long since been broken. Walking on in Yumi was greeted to the sight of a three-meter tall skeleton warrior wielding a giant sword two metres in length with a thirty-centimetre width. Eying the Skeleton Knight, Yumi reached behind her back and drew the giant smouldering battleaxe. The knight roared at her and came barrelling towards the demoness, knocking broken tables aside.

Meeting the beast head-on, Yumi didn't hold back. A demonic aura swept out as killer intent rose, exploding with great vigour. The visage of Malum formed behind Yumi as wings sprouted from her back. A long spear-tipped tail grew out from her tailbone and flicked through the air as two long horns sprouted from the sides of her head. The amulet around her neck began to glow as the empress aura came to life. Wings spread wide as Yumi flew forward to meet the knight. The giant battleaxe cut through the air transforming into a blur as it smashed into the incoming greatsword. The two weapons met with a loud clang as a shockwave erupted on impact destroying the floorboards beneath them from the impact.

Laughing loudly Yumi sprung into action. The axe transformed into a weapon of death as it moved with unyielding speed. The axe smashed into the greatsword relentlessly making it groan and strain under the pressure. Each blow forced the knight back as Yumi continued her relentless attacking never giving it the chance to fight back, forcing it on the defensive. With another strike, the greatsword shattered in two. With the blade broken, Yumi took the chance and swung the giant axe slamming it into the Knight's chest. The blade dug in and sent the knight skidding backwards with its chest cavity broken in, but it was still standing. Not giving it the chance to regain its bearings, Yumi flew in at full speed. Rising upwards Yumi swung the axe down smashing it onto the Knight's head without mercy. Bone broke apart as the smouldering battleaxe tore through the Knight's body like a knife through rice paper.

Bone fragments flew everywhere as Yumi destroyed the Skeleton Knight with the second swing of her axe.

Battle report:

Yumi sighed as the creature went down, but she didn't drop her guard or release her true form. The demon stood over the pile of bones in all her glory, waiting to see if anything unexpected would happen. To her amusement, a black light floated up out of the destroyed undead. "Hooo what's this?" Yumi eyed the strange floating essence as it hovered over the defeated Skeleton Knight before it began to float away. The strange light flew out of a nearby window and headed off down the street. Yumi gave chase, leaping out of the window and ran after the light. Her wings opened up and Yumi took flight, soaring high above the street and just above the black light. Yumi followed it off into the distance as it headed out of town and towards the Phantom Lord guild once stood.

"The ex phantom lord guild? I guess it would make sense. It has long since been deserted and no one ever goes up there anymore since Phantom Lord's destruction during the war." Yumi watched with fascination as the light flew into an open door. Heading up the path leading to the main guildhall which was now in ruins, Yumi slowly pushed open the main door and walked on in. Waiting for her was a figure in black robes. They held out a gloved hand to collect the black light and turned the hood towards Yumi. The demoness couldn't see the face of the figure but could feel the unearthly energy coming off of him.

"I have been expecting you, Witch of Carnage." The lich spoke with a raspy as he raised a boney finger to point at her. Yumi snorted and shook his words off, "Yes well you've been a pain in my ass. SO just roll over and die so I can get paid."

"It is your misfortune to face me!" The lich held out a hand and summoned two black lights. The lights fell to the ground where it began to shake. Two pillars of bone rose up out from the floor and took the shape of two matching Skeleton Knights. The knights drew their greatswords and charged towards Yumi. Showing no hesitation, Yumi's wings spread open and she shot towards the knights. The aura of fear spread out to weaken the beasts as Yumi slammed into then. Her axe cut through the air smashing into both swords knocking them out of the knight's hands.

The force of the blow knocked the two knights back and off-balance. Taking the chance, Yumi attacked the one on the left. With a swing of her axe, Yumi sent the knight flying backwards and crashing into the ruined bar. Debris and bottles flew everywhere as Yumi changed course to strike the second Knight. A tiny fist smashed into the second knight's chest plate before the axe came flying around the strike. The axe collided with the knight shattering it on impact. By this time the second Knight had climbed to its feet. With a snort, Yumi proceeded to throw the axe launching it into the Knight's face to demolish it. Flying towards her axe, Yumi ripped it out.

The lich sneered and raised a hand dropping multiple black lights. Dozens of bone pillars shot up taking the forth f a single skeleton Knight accompanied by nine behemoths and twenty skeleton beasts.

"Numbers mean nothing." Without hesitation, Yumi flew forward into the thick of the enemy undead soldiers. The arm collided with the sword of the Skeleton Knight knocking the giant warrior backwards, where he collided with a group of Behemoths. With the knight knocked away, Yumi struck out swinging the battleaxe in a full circle as ten skeleton beasts pounced towards her. Bone went flying as the axe tore through the weaker beasts with relative ease. Without skipping a beat, Yumi continued advancing, swinging her axe without remorse and punching out when an opening was made. Bone fragments went sailing as Yumi tore through the army of beasts and approached the fallen Knight who began to rise. A tiny foot kicked out slamming into its spine crushing the bone. The kick sent the knight aside as it crashed into a pillar where its bones fell apart.

Kicking off the ground, Yumi quickly swung her axe to destroy the weaker beasts that got in her way. With a flap of her wings, Yumi closed in on the Lich appearing right in front of him. The lich went to summon another black light, but the axe flashed forward and cleaved his hand off sending the boney limb flying. The lich roared in pain and went to flee but it was already too late. A kick landed on his right back leg breaking the bone and forced the lich to his knees. The axe descended and sliced the lich in half to end his reign.

As the lich died his creations fell apart, no longer responding to his commands. Fixing the axe onto her back, Yumi departed returning to meet up with the man from the phantasm family. Taking a seat opposite him, Yumi tossed the contract to him. No words were needed as it was obvious by Yumi's attitude the job had been finished. Without a word, the man quickly signed the contract and handed over a stack of notes. Taking the notes Yumi counted them making sure the correct amount was there. With a wave of a hand, Yumi sent the man off she wanted to be left alone. Nodding the man quickly left.
