Kaz had spent the morning, delegating guild members where to go and what to do. Mostly it was a matter of hiding all those pesky eggs. Once they were all scattered across the area.
families began to pour in and the great hunt began. Eventually, the kids roped Kaz into playing and he playfully chased them around the pier giving them hints and misdirections until they all turned on him, and chased him.
He leaped out of the way with his wind magic, sending him to the rooftops where he sat to take a breather and watch the people enjoying themselves.
A swift motion caught the corner of his eye. A small white blur rushed by and dipped down toward and area of trees that lead out to a cove. Kaz cocked his head and stood up.
He walked down from the stairwell, back onto the sandy street just in time to see the white blur hop into the bushes of the cove. Kaz jogged over and pushed through the brush. Waiting for him on the other side was a large rabbit. The wind mage coughed and fell back onto his but. He stared at the creature in disbelief. It was supposed to just be another holiday. He didn't think that the easter bunny was real.
"Impossible...I mean not impossible...but," he smacked his cheeks, but the bunny didn't move. It stood with its floppy ears bouncing back and forth until it pulled out a large decorative egg with swirls of color. It places it between them and then hopped away never to be seen again.
Kaz crawled over to the egg, inch by inch. There was a crease in the middle where it connected. he lifted the top to reveal a present inside.
