Home| The Hanging Tree - First Hanging Instead of the usual camps, the Survivors were sent to a location on the island that looked like a small village. In the middle of the village, at the square, a large tree was located, also known as the Hanging Tree. Today, the Hanging Tree would serve its purpose again. Among the Survivors, two had been selected by the Master to fulfill the roles of spirits. At night, they were allowed to choose a single person and spirit them away. On the other hand, everyone would be allowed to cast a vote during the day and execute the person they suspected to be one of the spirits. Before they entered their houses, the group gathered around the Hanging Tree to find out the spirits among themselves. Steel started to accuse Nuala. Meanwhile, Mary believed Steel to be the spirit instead. Masami wasn't so sure about Rinni, and Zane wasn't so sure about Masami. In the end, a majority vote was reached. Nuala, Alisa, and Rinni accused the Mary, the gloomy girl, of being the spirit. The group grabbed Mary and tied a rope around her neck while throwing the other end over one of the thick branches of the Hanging Tree. They pulled the rope up till Mary was dangling high from the tree. Everyone was tired from what had just happened and decided to go to sleep. In the morning, the group gathered at the square again. They looked at the Hanging Tree and saw Mary's lifeless body still up there. As they looked around they noticed that Rinni was missing. Who were they going to vote for this time? |
