HISTORY History: Yuki was born in a now forgotten and abandoned village, hiding within thick forest somewhere at the east of Joya. Once, the place was inhabited by villagers who are mostly farmers, miners and blacksmiths living in a rather ancient culture. They are mostly known however, for the practice of the shadow arts and their blacksmiths being able to imbue magic into the weapons they forge. With their magic being forbidden in the whole of Joya, the tribe known in the past as the Shadow Clan decided to hide themselves deep in a luscious tropical rainforest. For years, the village has lived rather peacefully as the forest itself is far from most of Joyan civilizations. One day however, after one of the village's traditional feast, its people were surprised with an attack from an unknown band of marauders. With most of their warriors drunk from the night's feast, the people weren't able to do much to defend themselves. Although somehow being able to put up a fight, they were easily subdued by their assailants, who seem to possess weapons with designs that were noticeably from the village itself. The marauders razed their houses and slaughtered every people, old and children alike, seemingly aiming not to leave a trace of its civilization. Her mother however, being a practitioner of magic was able to transport her to safety just in time before the marauders could reach their home. Due to the complexity of the spell however, Yuki’s mother could only save her only daughter. The young Yuki found herself at the edge of the forest, paralyzed by trauma of the disaster that fell upon their village. It took her awhile before she could get back to her senses and start moving around. Tears gushed out of her eyes as she aimlessly wandered the rocky path away from the forest where her home should be. From then on, she aimed to be stronger so she could prevent the same fate from happening to others. Reference: Who referred you here? Please state their username on the site. |
