He couldn’t remember the number of times he had thanked his old masters for how strict they had been with him during their training sessions. At the time he had accused them of being paranoid and overly strict, but now he couldn’t thank them enough, because it had been that training that had seen him through some of the most dangerous situations he’d ever been in. But even his martial training could only get him so far. He was no master by any means, and he was more than sure his skills were reaching their limit against the kinds of opponents he had begun to start facing.
Mikajia had been so busy taking jobs lately, that he hadn’t really been thinking about his sorely lacking list of useable spells. It was one of his latest jobs that made him come to that very shocking and quite frankly, terrifying, revelation. He decided that he would put his jobs on hold until he had a much more advanced repertoire of spells and abilities at his disposal.
