Experimental Hexes [Solo] Empty Sat Feb 13, 2021 4:36 pm

Ziann had his first contact with the underground network of Oak City and was excited to get to work for Dr. Mabuz. The mad doctor had been an interesting person to meet, a master of illegal magic, hexes, and poisons. Ziann had been caught off guard by the man who had actually heard of him and his work in the nearby city of Baska. Word of him didn't travel as far as Hosenka, but Dr. Mabuz had heard of him here in Oak and that made Ziann's head swell from pride. The mad doctor had offered him work of the most fascinating kind. Testing magic. Magic was something that Ziann found to be incredibly amazing and jumped at the chance to see some curses at work.

He had been given two scraps of paper meticulously scrawled with runes and magic ink. At least, that's what it appeared to be. Ziann wasn't quite sure how the hexes were made, but he was told all he had to do was imagine someone in his mind and speak aloud the word on the paper. He had been told that the first hex, "Stimuli", was to increase someone's sense of touch tremendously. The second hex, "Decrepify", was to cut someone's ability to walk by disabling their legs. Ziann was excited to test these out and find out just how potent Dr. Mabuz's magic really was.

Ziann snuck through the side streets of Oak looking for an appropriate victim for the hexes. He was going to spend a good amount of time doing so, for he wanted to make sure that he got a good response. He didn't want to just find some random pedestrian to increase the stimuli they received, he wanted to find the perfect victim to spite. As he walked through the alleys and side streets, he came across a couple hiding in the shadow of a building. They were making out incredibly passionately, and Ziann's cruel grin stole across his face...

With a wicked grin, Ziann raised the paper of the hex given to him by Dr. Mabuz and imagined the male of the couple making out in this alley. "Stimuli" All of a sudden, the man recoiled from his partner, a sharp gasp of pain emerging from his lips. "What's wrong, Javier?" The woman tried to touch his shoulder to comfort him as he clutched at his face in pain, which only caused him more pain. He pulled away from her embrace, falling over from the discomfort which only increased his suffering. "Your touch, my love, it burns with the fury of a thousand suns."

The woman just looked at Javier with an exasperated look. "If you don't like me, you can just say so..." She started to walk off and Javier tried desperately to catch up with her, but every step caused him to gasp in pain. "No, my love, please, it's not you, it's me!" She huffed in disgust and left him to wallow in pain. Her love must have been superficial indeed, Ziann thought. As an asexual, he didn't find people attractive and didn't care for that sort of emotional attachment. With a shrug, he looked for his next victim.

Satisfied with having ruining a shallow relationship, he moved on to just looking for a random pedestrian to knock out their legs with Decrepify. He found a Knight running through the streets, chasing after someone who had done something or other wrong. That would be the perfect target. Raising the paper, and imagining the Knight, he uttered the hex. "Decrepify." Expecting to have the legs just cut out from under the running Knight, Ziann was disappointed to see that the running woman just had a slight limp instead of her legs ceasing to function. He'd have to report on that to Dr. Mabuz when he got back to the underground magic shop. Satisfied with his work, though, he made his way back and reported on the efficacy of the one and the lack of efficacy on the second.
