Kaz was wandering the halls of his guild when a strange feeling resonated from the pocket of his jacket. Pulling it out, it was the ticket he purchased from that strange merchant. It bore writing in an incomprehensible language and began to glow faintly. As if it had a mind of its own, it wiggled in his hand until it broke free and hung the air for but a moment before turning into a portal.
With a nod, the wind mage stepped into the gate and appeared in a dimly lit room. The illumination came from the floating magical items and the glowing eyes of the merchant. Kazimir smiled and nodded at the being,
"A pleasure to be back here," he said as he stepped forward and looked at the wares that were now available.
There was one other in the shop now. Next to the wind mage was a face or lack thereof that he had not seen in a long time. The lich...Odin, only this time he wore garb different than before. The mage narrowed his eyes at the skeletal figure, and knew now was not the time nor the place. He gave the lich a nod and moved on.
Pacing back and forth it was not long before he glanced over a series of eyes. There was one empty space, no doubt where the one Odin had taken was resting. But The mage's eyes came to another. The eye of seraphim. It seemed he could not escape his fate no matter where he wandered. Quickly reading the description he knew it was the trade-off he needed to have.
"The eye of a seraphim...I'll take it," he said pointing at the one he wanted. With a deep breath, he continued,
"An eye for an eye I presume. It will be my left." With that he made his decision and awaited the merchant's response and whatever ritual would need to take place to seal the deal.
Once the eye would go in, he would blink a few times to adjust to it and look at his hands. Everything seemed to be in order and fitting well.
