Looking back, she didn't know why she didn't expect something like this to happen eventually. The elders had always found something peculiar about her. For someone whose mana didn't resonate strongly with nature, it was surprising she was able to cast spells with its abilities so easily. For someone whose mana did, however, resonate strongly with water, she showed no aptitude for so much as creating a bubble from thin air. It was almost as if her magic was created through artificial means, though they found no evidence of a lacrima residing within her. It was perplexing, but there was no sense in trying to make something with no potential emerge. It would just cause her frustration in the long run.
Instead, Atani focused on cultivating the skills she knew she possessed, and the elves who too used nature magic were more than willing to help her reveal her potential. Now, it was all for nothing. The majority of the knowledge she had for utilizing nature magic would not be useful for her now water-based skills. She had no elves to turn to at this point, and she knew of no one in the guild who had water magic either.
