Magharedes' Runes

While traveling through this area, you begin to feel a strange sensation all over your body. As you look around to find the source of this feeling, you cannot seem to pinpoint its origins directly. Depending on where you stand, the feeling becomes either stronger or completely disappears. Using this as a guide, you eventually manage to find what has been trying to draw you in towards itself: Magharedes' Blood Rune. It is said that when all five Blood Runes are collected, the user can communicate directly with the entity to wish for something. Though, the collection comes in the form of tribute to the entity itself. Blood must be spilled. Still interested in becoming both predator and prey?

Conditions

  • Users may perform a post in the topic and roll once per 24 hours in an attempt to claim the Blood Rune until it has been claimed by someone.

  • Should they roll 50 or greater, they will acquire the Blood Rune and become ineligible to acquire another until the Blood Battles begin. This is when all five Blood Runes have been distributed.

It had been almost a year since Kon had been to Orchidia City, typically choosing to let his guild members rule in his stead. Times were changing and he would have to adapt to them, already he could sense powerful figures beginning to show their hand as he sensed them moving around Earthland. His own plans would soon be hatching however he had a lingering issue to contend with in his borders. An area was growing in the outskirts of the city that was concealing all those that entered it. A magical oddity or in preparation for something more sinister he wasn’t sure and he certainly didn’t want anyone to risk their own neck.

As he rode into the city he was immediately hit with the smells bringing up memories from years ago. The sweet scent of bread being cooked, the offensive tone of a drunkard leaving a pub and most solemnly the tinge of charcoal that lingered in the wind taking him to the harsh period in his life. Breathing in and out for a brief moment by the side of the street, he remained in a state of reminisce until being hit by a wash of mud brought up from a pothole as a carriage ran past.

Drenched from head to toe with dirt clinging to his armor, Kon looked like a right mess. Ignoring his unsavoury appearance, he flicked away the mud that struck his face before continuing down his way to black spot which he could sense. In a casual trot, Kon slowly made his way to the rough location, an unusually ordinary part of the woods that neighbour the busy city. Would he find out what was causing this phenomenon or would it remain a secret that would remain hidden within those woods? Only his quick sense and perceivance would be the judge of that.
