Clean Up Crew [Solo] Empty Sun Aug 29, 2021 10:30 am

Sho

Sho woke up in his room at the local inn with a bad case of the bed head. He stared at the ceiling for a moment, blinking slowly. He let out a huge yawn before laying in the bed some more. Today was his first day of working as a Rune knight. There was a job meant just for his pay grade posted up the day before and he took it. The job started bright and early today so he had no time to waste. He got out of bed slowly rubbing both eyes, letting out another big yawn before getting up and going to the bathroom. It didn’t take long to get ready for him considering he was a guy. The longest process was getting his hair exactly the way he likes with all his assortment of hair gels. Considering he already got in the shower the night before he didn’t feel the need to shower again. He popped on some deodorant and went to put his clothes on. Which did not take long at all. He sat off on his way to the mission location. Which was Orchidia’s Horizon Apartments. A nice old lady needed some help with her apartment so Sho was more than happy to help.

Sho made his way over to the apartments with haste. He looked around for a moment before reaching for the paper in his pocket. He wrote down the apartment number so he wouldn’t forget. ‘Room 113 Granny Betty.’ he thought to himself before looking around for said apartment number. He walked around on the first floor of the apartments before finding an old lady pacing back and forth outside of her apartment. Sho walked up with both hands in his pockets, not a care in the world. She couldn’t see his eyes but he was watching her pace back and forth very carefully.

“Everything alright? Is this your apartment?”

She stopped for a moment, looking up at the rather tall individual she then spoke. “Yes, are you here about the job young man?” Sho nodded and smiled before responding. “Yep, I saw that you needed an apartment cleaned and I am here to help.” Granny Betty said nothing for a moment before looking around, “It’s just you?” Sho stopped smiling and looked around for a moment, being a smart ass about the situation. “Yep, it seems like it.” She pointed at the door which Sho proceeded to open. Only to find the apartment was trashed, like beyond trashed. There was barely any room to navigate through. It was embarrassing honestly. “I need you to clean this place from top to bottom by the time I get back tonight.”

Sho raised an eyebrow looking back at the woman thinking to himself, ‘Damn bitch you live like this?’

The old lady smiled, picked up her back, and left to god knows where. Meanwhile, Sho had a look of disgust on his face. He pushed his way into the apartment, thankfully there were some cleaning supplies and trash bags on the kitchen table so at least something went right. He spent the next couple of hours cleaning from top to bottom by himself. He moved as quickly as possible while being efficient. It took him all the way till Betty got back from whatever she was doing. There were trash bags stacked outside her door full of garbage from the apartment. Thankfully it was only a two-bedroom apartment and not bigger. With everything cleaned you could see the apartment in its glory. It was a nice apartment, Sho was just more so lost for words at how such a small old lady produced so much garbage and clutter by herself. It was almost astonishing at that point how dirty the apartment was.

Sho stopped just before sunset as he was done, he plopped down on the now clutter-free couch and leaned back. He was dirty from all of the cleanings, he looked at his uniform and let out a huge sigh because he knew he would have to go sit at the laundromat for the night to make sure all of the funk was washed out of his clothes. The sun was beginning to set and granny made her way back into the apartment. “Oh, I see you finished! Thank you so much!” She reached into her bag and pulled out a small baggy full of cookies. Along with the reward money.

“These are for you young lad.” Sho stood up from the couch and took the cookies and reward money with a smile. “I appreciate it, make sure you keep it clean now,” he said before making his way outside. He hurried and left while eating some of the cookies out of the baggy. “Damn these are good.”
