His body developed way past a child's due to the gladiator-like events he participated in at a young age. Many of which resulted in the death of his friends. His robust, lean body is 172 pounds of pure muscle. Yori's porcelain skin is as clear as water, and his facial features have become more profound over the years. His attire is pretty simplistic and doesn't stray away from the colors: black, grey, or purple. Typically, Yori will be spotted wearing a kimono otherwise, a plain outfit. His hair alternates between a full-bun and half-bun style based on how he feels that day. Sometimes he even lets a couple of strands of hair loose. Lastly, Yori's ear gauges are black and roughly the size of a quarter. Extra: N/A PERSONALITY Personality: At first glance, Yori appears as a troubled boy haunted by his past. His face tends to be expressionless nowadays compared to the big bright smile he sported as a kid. Behind his lilac eyes is a dull and lifeless abyss that entraps the image of the innocent boy Kuwahara once was. Yori always looks as if he had seen a demon, but that's normal given his past. You would probably be the same if you had seen what he saw. He is a kind person at the core. The type of man that values loyalty above all else and would go the extra mile for those he calls friends. However, that isn't an open invitation to test his kindness. Yori doesn't tolerate disrespect from anyone regardless of status or power. And if necessary, he will retaliate with an appropriate response. For lack of a better word, Yori is an oaf. What he lacks in brains, he makes up for in battle. His hatred for magic fuels his rage and gives him the strength to enact his will. Furthermore, Yori is a firm believer in "everything is not always black and white." He likes to think that there are always three sides to every story: his side, your side, and the truth. Likes:

His father, Kuwahara Tamotsu, was a devoted practitioner of the sword and served in the military. His mother, Kuwahara Hanako, was a grade school teacher. They met each other at a grocery store when Yori's father was on holiday. A few drinks and a couple of dates later, and before you know it, they wound up married. Together, they conceived two beautiful children: Yori and Riko. The details of their birth were kept confidential by the direct order of the shogun. Supposedly, their father had opted his unborn children into a military training program relinquishing his parental rights. The program's objective is to draw out latent power within children and teach them how to harness it. The shogun was eager to increase his numbers and would stop at nothing to do so. Ultimately, Hanako got tricked into believing that her children were receiving military aid. Aside from collecting data on latent power, the program had a strict curriculum that taught children core principles such as mathematics, reading, world history, etc. The teachers were all renowned scholars from different parts of the world handpicked by the shogun. Yori wasn't the brightest bulb in the box, so he dedicated most of his time to his training. Meanwhile, Riko was a natural-born genius who excelled at anything she put her mind to. Often people would mistakenly take Riko as the older sibling given her mature demeanor, so it wasn't apparent that Yori was older unless mentioned. They lived together in a heavily guarded community sectioned off from the mainland. The living conditions were unbearable due to the program's funding going towards the shogun and his men's pockets. Occasionally when food was scarce, the children were forced to fight for their plate. And because the program did not cater to the children's feelings, it brought about disorders such as emotional detachment and post-traumatic stress. That and the neverending cycle of cruel and unusual punishment made this place a living hell. Amidst all the suffering, Yori managed to find happiness in newfound friendships. His earliest memories of being in the program were alongside his closest friend, Ryota. Ryota was four years old by the time Yori and his sister had come. He was bright, strong, but most of all caring, and not to mention the most promising of all the children. He endured far worse than any other because of his aptitude for magic and his insane tolerance. It reached the point where he was being tested day in and day out until, eventually, no one had seen him. As any good friend would do, Yori inquired about Ryota's status. However, the guards only gave him half-assed answers, which led him to believe they were hiding something. Through further investigation, Yori discovered the program's hidden agenda and learned how they performed experimental procedures under the guise of everyday tasks. He, later on, found out that alongside Ryota, the researchers had their eye on his sister. Two Years Ago On November 29th, X789, Miyahara Ryota and Kuwahara Riko were murdered by Kuwahara Yori. Their bodies have remained unfound among all the rubble of what used to be their community. Yori and all the other children managed to escape the shogun and his men amidst the chaos. Mention of the program and the experiments conducted here got erased from historical records. Reference: N/A |
