Name: Sunlight Spear


Rank: S
Mana Cost: 500
Requirements: Solar Demon Slayer (Demon Slayer: Fire)
Type: Offensive
Element: Solar (Fire+Light)
Range: 25 Meters
Cooldown: 5 Posts
Duration: Sustain
Effect: Forged from a piece of Sol’s light and given form by Earthland’s greatest blacksmiths. The Sunlight Spear is one of a suite of Grand weapons that the Avatar of Sol would use to smite The Deep and all of the denizens who live within it. These luminous weapons all glow with the heavenly light of Sol and are blinding to all but those who are meant to wield them against their enemies.

To activate this spell the user may reach out to grasp something with their free hand, grabbing a hold of it firmly causing a brilliant golden yellow spell circle to appear beneath them. This intricate magic circle will have two blinding white triangles laid side by side with a burning red line striking down diagonally between them. Surrounding these sigils will be two burning orange rings with text inscribed between the two rings.

Within the grasp of the user, energy will spark to life, first acting like a sort of plasma generating great bolts of electricity as the energy coalesces into a fearsome blinding white spear of burning hot plasma within the grip of the user. The final product will be a total of two meters long and .1 meters wide. The blinding lance can then be stabbed forward dealing S-rank Fire and S-rank Light damage to a target. If the user instead chooses to throw the lance, the lance will travel outwards in a chosen direction until it either impacts the target, or reaches the maximum spell range. Should any of these come to pass except for the spear reaching maximum distance, the spear will pierce the target violently causing burning wounds and dealing S-rank Fire and S-rank Light damage to the target. Afterwards the spell will dissipate.

Name: Sunlight Blade


Rank: A
Mana Cost: 200
Requirements: Solar Demon Slayer (Demon Slayer: Fire), a melee weapon (optional)
Type: Offensive
Element: Solar (Fire+Light)
Range: Melee
Cooldown: 4 Posts
Duration: Sustain
Effect: Forged from a piece of Sol’s light and given form by Earthland’s greatest blacksmiths. The Sunlight Blade is one of a suite of Grand weapons that the Avatar of Sol would use to smite The Deep and all of the denizens who live within it. These luminous weapons all glow with the heavenly light of Sol and are blinding to all but those who are meant to wield them against their enemies.

The user will then pass over the object, or the air, causing sparks of energy to jump from their hand to the object, or space being imbued. This energy will surround the object entirely, forming a sort of coating about the size of the weapon or if used over the air, a blade one meter in length and .25 meters in width, that the user can then use to stab and strike targets with. Should the blade come into contact with a target it will deal A-rank Fire and A-rank Light to them. Afterwards the spell will dissipate.

Name: Northern Lights


Rank: S
Mana Cost: 500
Requirements: Solar Demon Slayer
Type: Defensive
Element: Solar (Fire+Light)
Range: 25 meters
Cooldown: 5 Posts
Duration: Sustain
Effect: A byproduct of Sol's Essence inhabiting each and every star in the sky, the Northern Lights are a brilliant collection of stars that each form a defensive perimeter around the user or a target to essentially hold them in place or prevent them from damaging the user.

To activate this spell the user must extend one of their hands outwards forming a sign with their hands by extending the index, middle and thumb outwards while curling in their ring and pinky fingers. The user will then complete a full circle motion, drawing a glorious 4m in diameter runic magic seal that is inlaid with various hieroglyphs depicting the various constellations. The rings of the magic seal are cracked and disjointed, showing the twisted magical energy needed to draw forth the power of the cosmos. The creation of the magic seal will then invoke the spell causing a magic seal 16 meters in diameter to appear at the target location.

Upon the magic seal appearing on the ground, five pillars of light will strike the ground suddenly before erecting a translucent barrier that is 16 meters in diameter between them preventing anything from passing through them unless 2x S-ranks of damage is done to the translucent barrier. Afterwards the spell will dissipate.

Spell 1
-Cannot be both instincts and sustained
-Your spell cannot have this type of variance. It is either a melee attack or an aoe. You also cannot arbitrary decide when it explodes. It can explode on impact and or explode upon reaching it's designation

Before further review this spell I ask that you pick a path for this spell to follow. Then we can look at it with that lense.

Spell 2
- Cannot be both instincts and sustained (i recommend sustain)
- You need dimensions for the object coating your fist. If it just the size of your fist, than you need to say that.
- missing magic circle size

Spell 3
-Dimensions of your barrier is missing

Your magic is very colorful and descriptive. While this is not against the rules, it does make it really difficult to piece together what you are doing. If I missed something or made a mistake, let me know

  • Sunlight Spear: Bumped to S, parameters adjusted accordingly. Removed the AoE. Made it a sustained spell.
  • Sunlight Blade: Added magic seal width and blade description
  • Northern Lights: Bumped to S, parameters adjusted accordingly. Added dimensions of the barrier.

General Note: Magic circles have colors. Red for fire, gold for yellow. I don't mind the other aesthetics just make the ring of the circle clearly redish gold. The magic circle can be a fusion of the two colors, but edit that accordingly pls whilst you describe the aesthetics of your magic circles.

Sunlight Spear:
  • Explicitly state that upon contact, this spell ends.
  • Keep in mind, because you don't have the self immunity enhancement, this spell will in fact damage you after it leaves your hand. As such, the retracting mechanism straight to your hand will not work in your favor. I'd advise you to have a simple trajectory controlling mechanism.


Sunlight Blade:
  • As stated above, the spell ends upon contact.


Sunlight Lance:
  • Also as stated above, the spell ends upon contact.


Another Note: I am not against spells having multiple mechanics if it fits in with the spell. However, both Sunlight Lance & Blade are just two different spells in one spell. Please decide whether or not you want to use magical energy to coat an item, or you want to create constructs out of them. One or the other.
