It was not often Esperia would be found traveling willingly without her wife by her side, but for this particular trip she had no choice, this was a trip too dangerous for her to involve Valerie in. It was something that had started several years ago, a promise she had made to someone, and after her persistent investigation she had made some progress in discovering the whereabouts of one of the things she had been looking for. Yet, to think it had been concealed in Stella of all places. There should have been some irony about it, yet as Esperia approached the path leading deeper into the forest the vampire heard a small beep coming from the nearby bushes and it instantly made her stop her approach.

The little droid hovered over toward her, beeping excitedly as it projected a hologram above its body. On the surface it appeared like a temple belonging to a long lost civilization, yet Esperia knew better. "So this is the place I been searching for?"

The droid beeped excitedly as Esperia walked past the bushed, reaching the outskirts of the foliage that surrounded the temple. At the surface it appeared empty, perhaps even abandoned but she knew could already sense the mana stirring from within the structure.

The ground shook, several tremors rocking through the surrounding area as she could feel the sheer density of the mana gathering in the temple. And then at long last the guardians of the temple deigned to greet her. The first impression she had of them was that it reminded her of large humanoid dolls, featureless puppets without a visible puppeteer playing them, but they were clearly not toys, something that was evident in the sight of the weapons they carried and the armor they donned.

"I guess I shouldn't have expected a warm welcome-"

BOOOM!!!

All of a sudden a volley of missiles soared past her with such speed it caused the wind to whip against her, the vampire could only watch in awe as the rain of missiles like a meteor shower reigned down onto the puppets, causing a chain reaction of explosions that literally obliterated the guards at the entrance. "Is... that not a bit of an overkill?"

To which the droid beeped excitedly. "What do you mean, there is only: Open Fire and I need to reload in your dictionary?" Esperia mused in amusement yet the initial entertainment faded as the puppets somehow started to reassemble. "Any other ideas my cute little walking armory of mass-destruction?"

The droid beeped once more in excitement. "No, let's not 'Blow up this fucking temple' at the very least... not yet."
