Priest in Peril (Good)

Yuurei

Yuurei had gotten another letter for a request to meet Father Jared at the Magnolia's East Forest. It seemed like something happen, and he was being personally requested to help. His trip with Renji was short as he would see the priest waiting for him by the entrance of the forest. They would wave at each other and when the half-elf got close enough, he would come to a stop.

"So what happened Father Jared? Why are we all the way out here?" He asked wondering what he was going to say.

"A friend of mine, Father Malcolm was supposed to have met me in the Cathedral today, but he still hasn't shown up. He was coming from this forest, but I feel something might have happened to him. Do you think you can go into the forest and check it out for me?" He asked Yuurei.

Yuurei

Yuurei would smile at him as he was glad to help him out anytime.

"Yeah, I will go check the forest. I know my way around the wildlife, so don't worry about me." He said to Jerad with a happy facial expression.

The half-elf would enter the forest and while doing so he would start looking around the area. He was looking for areas that were recently disturbed more than anything. It wouldn't take him long, and he would see that there were a fresh set of prints around this area. There were actually two pairs of feet, one animal-like and the other human. While following the trail he would notice that one of the prints had disappeared, which brought Yuurei to assume that he had been carried somewhere.

This made him worried, and he started following the trail faster. He was hoping that he wasn't too late but made sure he didn't lose the tracks that he was following.

Yuurei

Yuurei would soon find his way to the front of what looked to be a lair of the animal or creature that carried the man. It made the light mage careful when he entered the lair as he was trying to make sure he knew what he was fighting against. He would make his way through the lair and when he peaked the corner, he would see a human who wore a priest-like outfit standing by a wall and attached to a chain that was on the ground.

Whatever creature had captured him was treating him like a pet more than anything and that wasn't good. It meant that this thing had a mind to comprehend what it was doing. It wouldn't take long, but Yuurei would notice a Vulcan moving towards Father Malcolm. He saw in his hand a bunch of stuff in a tray, and the light mage figured this Vulcan was going to put the priest into the plate before digging in.

Yuurei

Yuurei wasn't going to allow Father Malcolm to become dinner for this Vulcan, especially the way it looked all happy and ready to eat. The light mage would run into the lair, so stand tall as he was looking in the direction of Vulcan and the priest. The Vulcan would notice that Yuurei was around them, and he would get angry as he wasn't happy with his unannounced visit. He would toss the tray of food straight at Yuurei. The Pegasi would dodge the tray attack but grab an apple during all of it. He would take a bite out of it, and soon enough the Vulcan ran straight towards Yuurei while screaming. He didn't expect this and got ready for a fight ahead of him.

Yuurei would throw himself to the side to avoid the attacks of the Vulcan and while doing so open both of his hands. He would reveal two magical circles in his hands and a total of seventeen stars would enter his body.

Yuurei was now quicker and stronger than he was before, and he would look at the Vulcan as it would continue striking at him. It would grunt and make some loud noises as Yuureiw as moving him away from Malcolm so that he didn't get hurt. While he was dodging the Vulcan's attack, he would notice that this much space was good enough for him to start fighting back. The light mage would rush straight towards the creature and the Vulcan would see this. It would grunt as it was getting ready to slam both of his hands on top of the mage.

He would see this and he would dodge the attack completely moving at full speed at this time. The half-elf would press his feet into the ground before pushing forward and towards the Vulcan. Once close enough Yuurei would swing a strong punch straight into the face of the creature as he would send it flying with one punch.

Yuurei

The Vulcan was on the ground in pain from the blow that was dealt to him, and Yuurei would walk towards the creature. The Vulcan was in pain, but it was no longer grunted or making too much noise. When the light mage was close towards him.

"Don't kill him! He wasn't doing anything bad to me!" Father Malcolm would be able to shout loud enough so Yuurei could hear him.

The half-elf would be able to hear him now and he would stop what he was doing, and he would look over to Father Malcolm.

"He's not? Why does he have you chained up for?" He asked curious to hear the explanation.

Malcolm would sigh with relief that the Vulcan wasn't going to be killed, and he would sit on the floor as he would look at Yuurei. He figured the man would want to know how he knew this.

"The Vulcan here is friendly and when he saw me I can tell that he was just lonely. The entire time he picked me up he would tell me about his flower collection. I guess it was because he saw me picking flowers for healing." He explained to Yuurei.

The light mage would sigh with relief as he would disperse the use of his spells and look over to the Vulcan as he felt bad for the guy. The Vulcan would get up from the floor as he would look over to Yuurei.

"I'm sorry I didn't know you were a friend of Father Malcolm. My name is Rodney nice to meet you." He said to Yuurei.

Yuurei figured he was smart enough to comprehend things when he saw Malcolm chained up. Still, he looked at the tray and there were fruits scattered around, but also different flowers.

Yuurei

Rodney would move around his lair really quick, and he would come back with what he called a Pipapebble Berry Potion. He would hand that over to Yuurei and then a bunch of flowers to Father Malcolm.

"You drink this, and it will make you even more powerful. And you take this to Father Jared for his healing ventures. I let you out now and thank you for spending time with Father Malcolm." Rodney would say this as he would release the priest from his chain.

Malcolm would stretch a bit as he was happy to be let go from that spot. He would gladly take the flowers and smiled at Rodney.

"Thank you Rodney for the flowers. I will give it to Jared, and I promise to come to visit you soon." He said to the Vulcan as he waved his goodbye.

"Thank you for the potion." He said as he also waved goodbye.

Yuurei would escort Father Malcolm out of the lair and after that, he would take him out of the forest where Father Jared would be there waiting for all three of them. He would smile when he saw them all in one piece and he nod towards Yuurei.

“Good job I figured you would be able to find him. Are you guys hurt?” He asked.

“Nah we’re good, he was just keeping a Vulcan company.” He said to father Jared.

Father Malcolm would explain the situation and once he had done so Jared was relieved. He would go to Yuurei and he would hand him his reward for such an important task. Once that was over Yuurei would walk away from the two and back to the city.

"Are you going to honestly drink that potion?" Renji asked.

Yuurei would smile at the Exceed and drink the entire potion as they headed to the airship.
