Miracle Cure (Good)

Yuurei

Yuurei was sitting down on the bench relaxing outside of Baska City. He made sure that he had stood around the hospital so that way he was ready to do what he had to do next. Renji was sitting on his lap as he was taking a little nap. It wouldn’t take long for their relaxing day to come to an end. While he was looking around the area, he would see the nurse that had been sending him all the letters from Gerard. He would stay where he was and while the nurse was looking around before moving forward, he would see Yuurei. He would walk over to him as he was close by. He was glad that he didn’t have to run around the city as he had done previously.

He would hand over the letter to Yuurei and he would take it without hesitating. When that was over the nurse would walk away and it would be the light mage on his own again. He would sigh as he wondered what he was going to have to do now.

Yuurei

After relaxing and looking at the letter, Yuurei would open it as he would look through the content. He had a smile on his face because he was doing too much with these letters. He would tap Renji on his back so the Exceed could wake up. When that was done, he would be on Yuurei’s shoulder, and he would get up from the bench as he would put the letter in his pocket. It was time for him to meet with Gerard. The light mage would make his way towards the hospital, and he would enter the place. He didn’t see Gerard around the area, but he knew that he must be in his office.

He walked through the hallway to where he needed to be, and he would knock on the door soon after.

“Come in.” Gerard would say this.

Yuurei would hear this and he would open the door and he would enter the office before closing the door behind him. When he saw Yuurei had arrived he would get up with a smile on his face still anxious.

Yuurei

Yuurei looked at him as Gerard would move over to his alcohol collection as he looked over to Yuurei.

“Please take a seat Yuurei. Do you want anything to drink?” He would ask Yuurei.

“Sure whiskey please.” He said to him.

Gerard would prepare their drinks and would give Yuurei his glass before he took a seat. They would both take a sip of their drinks before they looked at each other. The light mage was waiting for him to explain why he wanted to meet.

“So, it seems like we can’t stop Mattoro from doing what he has been doing to do the water. Still, we can go about it a different way and counteract the poison that has been spreading on the people in Baska. I want to prepare a cure for when the plague spreads out and affects the local people. I have the cure of course, but I need to make it so I don’t have to distribute it to enraged people to drink because of course they won’t drink it willingly.” He paused as he took another sip of his drink.

Yuurei

He would look at Yuurei ready to continue talking.

“I need a specific magical crystal, an aerosol that can hold a large amount of liquid, and I need you to go to the water source and infuse your magic with it.” He said this as he would get up from his seat and he would hand him a paper on the two items he would need to obtain.

Yuurei would drink all his whiskey and put it on the table nearby. He would get up from the seat and take the paper and he would smile at Gerard as this was going to be an interesting task.

“I will get you everything you need, so don’t worry about it. Mattoro’s plans will fail.” He said to Gerard as he would make his way out of the office.

Yuurei looked at the paper and with that, he knew where he was heading to first. There was a shop nearby that would provide him with the crystal he needed. The light mage would leave the hospital and he would start making his way towards the shop that he needed to go to. When he got there, he would be greeted by the owner of the shop.

Yuurei

Yuurei would look around for the crystal and when he saw what he was looking for he would look over to the owner.

“I’m trying to buy this crystal. How much is it?” He asked the man.

He would chuckle a bit because he knew of the value of this crystal.

“It isn’t for sale right now. Sorry about that.” He said this to Yuurei with a smile on his face.

The light mage needed it, and it was for Baska city. How was he going to get it without the owner noticing? He would look around the back of the shop and he would come to a crystal that was like the one that he needed. If he would switch them, it would be hard to notice that he changed them. He had to be fast, and he thought about it as he looked over to Renji.

“Weapon.” He would simply say and the Exceed would open his bag and Yuurei’s gauntlet would appear on his arm.

Yuurei

Yuurei would pour mana into his gauntlet and at the same time his free hand would open, and stars would appear above the magic circle that appeared before. He would make himself as fast as he could ever be, and he looked over to the crystal and ran to it and switched the crystals while the owner looked away for a split second. He would move back to where he was located, and he would sigh with relief when he saw that the man didn’t notice the switch. That was good and he would move over to him as he would purchase the crystal quickly and be on his way out of the shop. Now that he had gotten that crystal he was moving on to the next place for his next item.

Yuurei started walking to the nearest shop as this item was sold everywhere. He would go into the nearest shop looking around until he found the biggest aerosol he could find.

He would grab it and he would go to the counter, and he would pay for it without a problem. He would walk out because the last thing he needed was the water. This wasn’t going to be hard to get, but it was a walk. Then there was the fact that he hoped that he wouldn’t bump into any of the Cold Colliers. They would be annoying to deal with. Still, he walked through the city of Baska and he would see that there were not a lot of people outside as there used to be.

He figured it was because they were sick, so he kept pushing until he made it to the cave. He would hope that there was nobody inside of the cave. He would walk in as he was making his way to the water source. When he got there, he would smile because he didn’t have to fight anybody today, which was a good thing.

Yuurei would take some of the water that was there and put it into a huge vial that Gerard had given him. After that, he would start pouring his mana into it and he continued to do so for a while. He was waiting for it to turn blue and after a few minutes of doing so, it would finally change. He would sigh with relief as it had taken a lot of his mana to turn it into the way he needed it to be. Still, now that everything was done, he could head back to Gerard and then start on what they needed to do with the three items. It would take him a while as he had to walk back into the city and walk through the streets before he made it to the front of the hospital.

He would look up at the building and wondered how long this problem was going to last. He would enter the building soon after and he would head over to Gerard’s office.

“I found everything so let’s start getting things to finalize.” He said to Gerard as the doctor was happy to hear this.

He would get up from his seat, and he would escort Yuurei to a chemical lab. It was then that they would be able to start all of this. The first thing that Gerard had instructed was to smash the crystal into powder. The light mage was surprised about this, but he didn’t question it as he did. It wouldn’t take long for him to do that with his strength and soon after mixing the powder along with the water that he infused his mana. This was all going into the aerosol that he had bought earlier. Once everything was mixed perfectly it was time to try it out on a patient.

“With this, we should be able to cure a patient and make sure that they can't be infected again even if the water is contaminated.” He said to Yuurei as he would have him follow him again.

Yuurei

They would make their way towards a patient he had strapped in a bed. He would spray it on the patient and after a few seconds the patient would calm down from the rage they were feeling. They looked confused but happy that they weren’t feeling such rage anymore. When Gerard saw that it worked, he looked happy as he would look over to Yuurei.

“It works, just like I figured it would. Alright here’s your reward, and I will call you if things are getting out of hand. Still, with this, I think everybody will be safe from Mottoro’s action.” He said to Yuurei.

The light mage would take the money that was rewarded to him, and he would bow slightly and make his way out of the hospital. Yuurei was glad to help, and it seemed like they just needed one more thing to do and that was to take care of the people in Baska City.
