Kohana Wailani: A mite feistier than her father, Kohana is the adult daughter of the Island's Chief, who some consider a little too tomboyish and rather the energetic foil to her father. Adventurous and active, she has trained with tribesmen and often joins in hunts and other more physically demanding activities her patriarch is getting a little too old for, and seems to be the principal component of the resistance against outside invaders.

Others:
Keanu Mahoe: The younger brother of Iolana, in many ways the two seem to be opposites in that he is energetic and rowdy compared to the smooth subtlety of his sister, yet he puts these qualities to good use as a young member of the islands tribal warriors. Not quite old enough to be considered an adult and more of a trainee, he has strength and talent aplenty but is somewhat hot-headed, and seen as someone who would make a good leader if and when he gets his impulses and temper under control.

Summary: Kohana is concerned that Herman Schwarz is amassing an army of mercenaries in order to attack the natives, and needs someone to approach the enemy camp and try to confirm this so that the tribe can shore up their defenses and prepare for an attack.

Enemies:
Mercenary (5): A common order sellsword, these people have cut their teeth in service with the military or in some cases pirate crews, and now unscrupulously sell their expertise and experience for a profitable payday, caring not for the harm they do. Skilled enough in their abilities that they can make short work of a civilian or rookie fighter, most decent warriors or mage adepts would find them little challenge.

Elite Mercenary: No common order soldier, these are the crème de la crème, the best of the best, and don't they know it given what they usually charge their clients for work. Practiced in battle and versatile in their abilities, even experienced warriors might find a challenge in these talented career warriors and might need something a cut above in order to best them effectively and efficiently.

Objective: Approach the Mercenary Camp in Aina Forest and survey the forces massing there, without getting captured.

Details:
  • Head to Aina Forest and search for the Mercenary Camp.
  • You are ambushed by Keanu! Oh, he heard about the job, and decided to come along too.
  • Keanu leads you to the camp, allowing you to see the sizeable number of mercenaries gathered there!
  • Crap, one of their patrol groups saw you! Run for it!
  • These guys aren't messing around, so looks like you're going to have to stand your ground!
  • Take out the Mercenary Guards alongside Keanu.
  • Head back to Kohana and report on what you saw, then collect your reward.
