Sucking on a strawberry-flavored lollipop that tasted more like watermelon and with a tired look on her face, Ianthe was ready to work. The sky looked like she felt, gray and crappy. She didn’t pray, she didn’t believe in the gods of the world, she knew they existed but they wouldn’t get any power off of her. Instead, she hoped that it wouldn’t pour down raining, something that it looked like it was about to do at any given moment. Any other day she wouldn’t have cared about the weather, but considering today was the day she would be working outside, it really felt like maybe it shouldn’t just rain on her. Since she was working for Lord Servas Phantasm her job would be something that helped Oak. Making her way to the gates she stopped when she spotted a hill she was told to go to.

Today’s task was to make sure the beacons that were being built were being built properly. It was a simple thing to do and as she made it up the first hill she could see a guard putting up some logs. It looked good to her so she would nod. Walking around the structure to give it a once over and make sure to give it a good looking, she determined he was doing a good job.
“ This looks great man keep up the good work.” Ianthe’s gave the guard a thumbs up and he beamed proudly, getting back to work faster than ever and with more passion than she ever saw a man have. The next beacon was to the east and so Ianthe made her way that way. The walk to the next beacon was just past some wooded area, and by the time she had gotten out of said woods she was done her lollipop.

Moving forward and walking up to the beacon she could see the guard that was supposed to be working on it asleep. She was about to say something until she noticed it was all done. The work was truly impressive so she let him sleep and moved on. The last beacon was also passed some woods and before she knew it she had arrived. It was unfortunate but she found the guard dead and the beacon only nearly done. Running back to the guard at the gate, Ianthe relayed all she saw and was paid for her work.
