A group of fishermen had requested help from the guild, Paradise Dawn. And at that moment Ren was looking for his first guild job. He didn’t bother reading much into the details of the job, all he knew was that a monster needed to be slain, and Ren was good at hunting down and slaying monsters. It was what he had done a lot throughout his life. This job was located in Luluhawa Island. Ren had never traversed through the ocean before. So this would be his first. Perhaps that was why he requested his superior, Brone Heavyaxe to accompany him. He just one day came up to him and asked ”Could you help me with this quest?” as he brought up the job flyer up. He actually did not know how to read. But that information was unimportant.

This was how Ren found himself on a ship, onlooking the vast sea. They had met the fisherman who posted the job prior and the fisherman gave them the ship and the details of the monster needed to be hunted. It was serpent-like and had scales that glimmered in the sun. That was the only details the fisherman could give them. Ren being straightforward didn’t really know what he was getting into, all he knew was that a monster needed to be slain.

The sun was above them, and Ren could only see the blue sky above and the blue waters all around him. The waves gently rocking their ship, hiding whatever lurked underneath.
