Face: Sui-Feng - Bleach Appearance Height: 5'4 Weight: 120 lbs. Hair: Black Eyes: Teal Overall: Ashlynn is of average height and weight, with medium-short black hair in a pixie cut style. She has deep teal eyes, typically accentuated by some very subtle eyeliner and eye-shadow. She comes from an athletic background but after attaining magic, she became less reliant on her physical aptitude. This gives her a slim physique with some subtle muscle definition. Her white skin tone is roughly medium as she keeps a light tan from her years in Seven. At a glance she comes off as the cool and collected type, perhaps a bit guarded. Her general attire is usually kept pretty simple. Mostly sticking to black and whites, her top is backless, sleeveless and black. While her bottoms are loose-fitting black pants, with a white sash on top. She is almost always equipped with glove / arm warmers, that are finger-less and end just past the elbow. She wears plain black shoes to complete the dark ensemble. She is also known to wear a hood while traveling. Extra: None. Personality Personality: On the surface, she is fairly quiet, reserved, deep thinking type who puts on a brave front to help thwart thoughtless approaches. However, like many others Ashlynn has a deep well of conflicting emotions. She is always trying to prove herself in some fashion or another. She can get irritated quite easily, depending on the trigger. She also finds it hard to make new friends easily which makes her cherish the ones she has, even if she is bad at showing it. Although she is usually quiet and reserved, she can be fairly witty at times and often sarcastic. She believes in telling the truth, even if lying is easier. Her philosophy is a fairly simple one: “I will not kill you … So please do not kill me.” You can replace “kill” with anything else. Basically you shouldn’t cross any line that violates another person’s dignity. You should acknowledge each other’s existence. That’s the rule. With her simple sense of justice established, she has come to the conclusion that she doesn't really like "bad" people. Because they act superior and lack empathy.. but on the other hand, she doesn't "good people either. Because they forgive "bad" people and treat forgiveness as a noble act. Likes:

Most of the magic takes on the appearance of lightning, with the exception of the color which is of course black or dark in nature. Aside from an array of offensive options, this particular magic is good at boosting the caster's speed and martial abilities. History History: Ashlynn was born to a family of mixed heritage, her father Malcom was from Caelum originally and her mother Calista was a native Sevenese. Calista was an ambassador and met Malcom during her travels to Caelum. They decided to travel back to Seven and wanted to have a family there. They settled in small town not too far off one of the greater coastal city-states. Calista changed her career path to that of a local librarian. She became Ashlynn's main caretaker as her father spent most of her youth setting up his business. It required a lot of traveling so he was away from home more often than not. All the way into her teens, Ashlynn found her two passions in life being athletics and reading. Having unrestricted access to a fairly large library had her educating herself on all sorts of topics. She was particularly fascinated with magic, although she had learned very early on that she was not one of the few capable of generating magic power. So while reading and education was a passion, she focused on her physical traits. She was on the fast track to being a pro-athlete, as she approached her 16th birthday. Malcom was an entrepreneur trying to bring technological advancement to the region. Fearing backlash from city politics, he choose the small town as a bit of an experiment. His hopes were to gain traction and support before moving to larger locales. What he underestimated was the religious zealous of the region. Not understanding just how important the gods' words were, he thought the initial protests to his business was the vocal minority. He received warnings, threats and even pleas to stop his business which seemed to defy customs and religious law. Days after Ashlynn had turned 16, she returned to an empty home. She had spent the last week or so on a trip as a coming of age ceremony. She felt eyes on her as she made her way through town, some were cold, others with a sense of sadness to them. It didn't take long for her to realize why she garnered so much attention. As she turned the corner and saw smoldering ruins of her family's business. The religious cult had set the building a blaze the day before, with her father, mother and workers all trapped inside with chains on the doors. The traumatizing event took her the better part of the following year to come to terms with what happened, not that she ever has gotten over it though. Ashlynn spent the next three years trying to understand how people could swayed into such violent and evil acts. Acts that they are not remorseful, in fact they celebrate as the gods' work. She developed hatred for these people and more importantly the voiceless gods they worshiped. She turned back to old studies she stumbled upon in her youth, about magic and how a person could attain it when not born of it. It took her a long time to find the research material but she began studying demons and how they can create daemons. They were able to use special form of power called obscura and could wield magic just like mages. It took her even longer to track down an old, nearly forgotten demon ruin in Seven. She had read about powerful artifacts that some demons would pour their obscura into, knowing others would take the power and continue on their legacy. Her research was thorough and she knew there were usually bargains or contracts to attain the power she sought out.. but she also knew there were ways around it as well. She found the artifact and embraced the hidden power within. Her first boon was the obscura changed her body, forming a magic container inside and thus allowing her to utilize magic and magic items. The second boon was she slowly started to naturally learn a unique magic which she aptly named: Black Lightning. She began traveling around her home country, learning her new powers and seeking for herself how truly awful her people could be. It took her two years to master her magic basics and grow accustomed her new status as a daemon. Now she stepped into a new land, eager to get stronger and begin a new path. She heard the mages of Fiore were very different than those of her homeland. Her new adventure was to start in Hosenka. Reference: Searched and found. |
