Yuurei


Yuurei had gotten a letter from one of the countries outside of Fiore. This one is Minstrel. He had never gone there, so this would be the first time he would step foot there. The letter was simple, he was supposed to come to the High City of Rosailles and meet with one of the nobles. The quest he was supposed to undertake was something that couldn’t be discussed in the letter. This piqued his interest, and he would travel there with the fastest thing in his arsenal.

Renji would tag along as well as he was curious to see how beautiful this place was. The place was beautiful and covered in nature. He couldn’t help but feel right at home. The people in the city had seen him and they knew immediately that he was not from there. It wasn’t just that, but they knew who he was. This was a man that they had to fear, if Fiore had ever gone to war with them then it meant they would have to fight against him.

Yuurei would just smile at them, and he would wave. He didn’t think like they did and they would wave back, but a bit hesitant.

“It seems like a lot of these people fear you Yuurei.” Renji said as he was observing them.

Yuurei would chuckle when he heard that because it wasn’t a problem for him.

“I kind of get why they would. I’m not from their homeland. If they know who I am, then they know I’m dangerous is all.” He said to Renji as he would walk in the direction of where the noble lived.

There were people that were excited to see him though and he was happy about that, but they would finally reach their destination.
Yuurei would knock on the back door like he was told to, so nobody could see him. The noble would rush to the door and when he opened it would rush them inside.

Once they were inside, he would close the door and he would sigh with relief. He would sit Yuurei down and he would offer him some tea as well. The Nephilim wondered why this was all so sensitive and figured he would find out if he asked.

“So, would you tell me why I came all the way here for?” He asked him as he would pick up the tea and take some.

The noble would look at him and he would sit down and he would look at Yuurei.

“There is a noble I need you to assassinate. This man has been scheming behind the city and if he keeps going, it will harm all of Minstrel. I need someone to take him out without anybody knowing who did it. Do you think you could do it?” He asked Yuurei hoping he would be on board with this.

Yuurei would sip more of his tea as he didn’t think this was something he would be asked to do ever.

Yuurei sighed as he would put the cup of tea down and looked at his client. He figured he would handle this for him if it means that Minstrel will be protected. He also figured it would better his relationship with Minstrel as well.

“Alright I will take care of it. Tell me everything I need to know. It doesn’t matter how small the information is give it to me.” He said to the man as he would lean back on the couch and waited for the noble to speak.

He would clear his throat as he was happy that he would take the contract. He had to make sure that nobody knew about this, so it would just be them two.

“That’s good to hear. So the man I need you to take out is a man who is highly guarded at all times. The day is with you, I feel like you could get through them without them knowing it’s you. Of course, I would like that you do this at night as well.” he paused for a second to give Yuurei time to think about it.

After a few seconds, the man would continue to speak.

“Now to get in without anybody noticing you. Well, there is a spot in his estate that is weak when it comes to his bodyguards. It’s in the back of his house. It will be the only place where you could get in and they wouldn’t be able to catch you.” He said to Yuurei.

The Nephilim heard everything he said and he figured he would also do some short scouting of his own after this was over with.

“Alright I can handle this, and I will make sure that there isn’t anything crazy to be led back to you. They will see that someone killed him, but they will never know who did it. Now can you hand me the location of this place?” He said to the noble.

The noble was happy to hear this and he would take a paper and he would hand it over to Yuurei. It would have his address, and Yuurei would memorize it before swallowing the paper.

Once that was done Yuurei would get up from the couch and he would exit the same way he came from. The Nephilim would sprout wings from his back. This time there were four of them and he would take flight. He ascended to he was fifteen meters into the air, and he would start moving as quickly as he could. Renji held on tightly as he was doing recon in a way that nobody would be able to spot him. He was moving in the direction where the noble lived. When he got there, he would see how big that place was, and he would start moving through the place. It would seem like everything the noble had told him was true. He didn’t see anything different today, but he kept looking to make sure.

Those who looked up wouldn’t be able to see or spot him unless they were focusing and able to move this quickly themselves.

Yuurei figured this would be simple because it seemed like they didn’t know that the noble’s life was in danger. He would move away from the spot, and he would land in an alleyway. His wings would disperse immediately, and he would check to see if there was someone there. When he was certain nobody was there, he would walk out of the place, and he would look around.

“We have time to enjoy our time here.” He said to Renji as his friend had landed on the ground.

The two of them would start moving around the place as they were checking the place out. They had delicious food, and their style of clothing was different from Fiore's. They would go through the day enjoying everything that they could hear. It was amazing, but while they were doing all this the day would pass by. Soon, it would be nighttime, and it would mean their job would start soon enough.

Yuurei would see that the streets within the city had slightly fewer people than before. It would seem like people were heading home and some were heading to enjoy the nightlife. Yuurei would move through the streets and when he saw he was in the clear, he would use his magic and it would turn him invisible. This was the perfect time of day to do this as well. He would walk around without anybody being able to see him. The Nephilim would head over to the place where his job was supposed to be done. He would find the noble's home, and he would see all the guards that were there. There were a lot, so he moved around to the back like he was told to.

There he would see guards, but it wouldn’t be too much. They were giving him enough space for him to sneak in, but he had to wait for the chance.

Yuurei would give it some time and soon enough he would see them spread apart and go the other way. He would move through the area as he was wearing his armor and he would be completely silent. They wouldn’t hear him at all, and he would open the door slowly and would enter the place. Now that he was here, he would have to make sure that he didn’t make any noise or bump into anything. He would look around the place as he had to find the location of where the man had slept. It would seem not even the man who hired him had known this. Still, he figured if guards were guarding the place, then that might be the place.

He would move around the huge place, and he would find the stairs and he would start walking up. It was easy because he didn’t make any noise and since the place was dark, he couldn’t be seen while the spell was active.

Yuurei would looked at the second floor and he would be surprised by how big this place was as well. Still, he was going to be searching throughout the place. The Nephilim was determined to find the noble he was looking for. Hell, he had even gotten a picture from his client even though honestly, he wouldn’t need it. The man’s face was plastered all over the house. He knew exactly who he was looking for. It wouldn’t take long, but he would see two guards in front of a door. It was the first door he had seen like this, and he was planning on taking them out. Still, he had a better idea. He would move to another room, and when he got there, he would open a window there. He would transform as his wings would come out and he would move around the area. He knew where his room was, so he was going to go through the window.

Yuurei and Renji were quiet this entire time. They didn’t want to be found out, but at the same time, Yuurei’s armor made sure of this. He would continue to move around the place as he would look at the ground below. There wasn’t anybody looking up and even if they did, they wouldn’t be able to see him. It was dark outside, and he was invisible. When he got to the window, he would peek inside, and he would see that the man was sleeping in his bed. This was perfect and he would make sure to open the window the best he could from the outside. It would take a while, but he would be able to do it.

When he did, he would enter the place silently and he would check the bed and the man that was on it. He had to confirm it was him, and he would. He would shake his head because he knew that it was time to take care of things.

Yuurei would look at Renji and he would look at Yuurei. It was time for them to get this thing going. He would look at the noble in his sleep. He would at least die in his sleep. The berserker would open his bag and he would put on his Yin Yang gauntlets. Once he had done that, he would look at the man’s chest and he would get into position. He was going to hit him right in the heart and stop it from functioning. He had to be precise because he didn’t want to leave any real big bruises on the man. It was then he would find himself ready and he would strike the noble in his heart. The man would open his eyes and gasp the final air he would ever breathe. He didn’t even see who hit him, but he would close his eyes again and would just be there, dead.

Yuurei would see that he had stopped breathing and his job here was done. He would close his hands together as he was praying for the man before he went to the wind. He would close the window and he would take flight as he would make his way out of the noble’s residence. When he was clear, Yuurei would land back in the same alleyway as he had done last time and dispersed his wings. His spell he had also stopped because he didn’t need to be naked to the human eye.

He would come out of the darkness, and he would start walking to his client’s home. He would see that there was nearly anybody outside, which was a good thing. He would make his way to the same door that he had gone to last time and would knock on the door. It wouldn’t take long but someone would open the door and would let him in.

“The job is complete. You should find out about it tomorrow morning. Nobody should suspect a thing or point a finger at you.” He said to the noble.

The noble would hear this and he was grateful for what Yuurei had done. This was the best thing he had heard all day. The filthy vile noble would no longer be putting the lives of Minstrel endanger like he had been this entire time.

The noble would take out jewels that he had prepared for Yuurei and he would hand them to him without hesitating, it was worth every jewel. Yuurei would make sure that it was all there, and once he had reassured himself he would walk to a door.

“Time to go home.” He said as he would use his key on the door in front of him.

The door would glow, he would open the door and he would step inside of it. The door would close and he would be back in the North.
