Kaito receives a new request to take on another protection of a shop in the area and he wonders what kind of shop it is going to be and if it will another monster occult one or if this will be another normal one that just has bandits or master thieves aiming to come after it cause the owner didn't pay their protections again this month and they want to save a bit of over head in the month so they picked this month to pinch their pennies and hire a mage at part of the price it would cost to have these other people protect their store or put fear of them coming after someone else if they dared to mess with the shop while it is under their protection. Kaito figures it is probably the latter as collection for protection is a pretty big problem, especially if you are keeping something hidden from the rune knights that could ruin you if someone were to "find" it and turn it over to them for a reward amount.

He enters into the building and the people inside look at the six foot four mage in the hooded cloak and mask and they seem scared of him more than happy to see him, the customers hurry to get checked out of the shop and to head out thinking he might be here for trouble or to shake down the shop keeper for jewels, even though they know he is from Fairy Tail there are rumors that he is actually a bad guy and not really a good guy and he curses people that cross him if they dare to disrespect him so a lot of people stay out of his way and don't try to get on his bad side if they can help it. Even if Judith the guild leader says he is harmless they doubt a Z ranked mage is harmless. Kaito waited his turn and he got to the counter and the older gentlemen looked up to him and smiles welcoming him back and says it was nice to see him.

This was the owner of the first shop he had ever protected under the banner of Fairy Tail it seems the man had done well for himself and now he had upgraded his shop, Kaito remembers that he had pretended to be a scarecrow that was usually standing in that corner of the store and he give the robbers a night of hell vs him who was a trained fighter that wasn't gonna take no shit from anyone cause he had a name to earn and jewels to earn so that he could prove he belonged to be here and it wasn't a mistake that Judith had allowed him to join the guild even though he had made a rocky entrance into the guild. He thinks that he had done them right and he had taken them all to the max of his powers. He is handed the key and he is told where the pay was to collect at the end of the night and he was glad to see the hero had returned.

The man leaves and Kaito gives the sign and a shorter woman about five foot three or four appeared from the shadows. He was not working alone tonight he was joined by two of the people that help him keep the peace under him and help other people in trouble while he is away, he is unsure how long this team of misfits like him will last as they will need to get on with their lives and start their families and he doesn't want to get in their way as he was not a monster or that controlling the woman signals to a another man who is in a raven mask and his cloak is trimmed in purple with his cloak having flowers on it and he is keeping his eyes open for anyone getting close and Kaito turns off the lights and Revy gets on a shelf and acts like she is a stuffed animal and she is also keeping her eyes open.

The man spots a large group of enemies heading their way it seemed that the gang that protected this shop was either pissed off they were refused payment and that the owner dared to do such a thing after they had been so forgiving of the last time this happened and they got throttled by some strong no body that knocked out and had some of his best men turned over to the knights that came to collect and they were going to make sure tonight to collect what is owed to them. Kaito is ready and waiting as this was going to be a wild fight and he was gonna have a team with him for it as this was his and Fairy Tails turf and it seems some people have forgotten their place and he will show them how to remember that if you mess with the city and the shops that you are messing with the guild of this city as well as the city being clear makes more people come to join.

They walk up to the building and Kaito walks out of it through the door without opening it and he can see on the faces of the gang members that some of them just laid a brick in their pants that was going to be hard to clean out later after this was over cause that man just walked through the door like a ghost and that was probably not a good sign for them coming to get into that shop and they run at Kaito and start attacking him, Kaito knocks the attacks away with his hands and the other two join in from the sides and he smirks as they get to work dealing with the gang members that probably thought it was gonna be an easy night for them but has now turned into a nightmare for them. Kaito was just using his hand to hand fighting skills as his team mates used their weapons and their own skills to handle the men.

The boss of them sees they are losing and he calls in some bigger guns to come and help in this losing battle before it all goes to shit and they completely lose everyone to these three, but the one man seemed like the same guy that had stopped him last time for collecting from this old man. He realizes who he is up against and he tries to call in to cancel the big guns but it was already too late as they are already bull rushing in and not answering their phones and they run right into Kaito who stops them with the palm of his bare hand and shoves him down into the ground and he spin kicks down onto their head while the other two cloaked and masked members take on the other two which seem to realize they are in danger and they try to flee but are cut off by Kaito and the arriving knights who don't question Kaito and they just take the captured men away and Kaito appears behind their boss and give him a grim warning to never come for the man again and if he has to pay them he gets a 50% discount from them. He then disappears again and he goes back in leaving the spare key and taking his pay and heading home.
