The Collective Mind He had been almost taken aback when the Floating Construct came into view, cutting through the clouds that cling to the mountainous city. Reportedly it had arrived in Myras only a few days after he had reached the settlement. He could feel it almost calling to him but he didn't know why. Others had tried to explore the mysterious, almost magic object with little success either being turned back through some unknown force or forgetting why they were there upon touching down on the artificial construct. Kon was nervous to investigate it himself, feeling that he'd experience the same as the adventurers around him. Though he was substantially more powerful than his current counterparts and felt a longingness that extended beyond just a sense of morbid curiosity. This hesitancy had given Kon some time to think, allowing him to recall a dream that he shared with many others. And so in during those last couple of days humming and harring whether to enter by himself, Kon composed multiple letters to various members who had met along the way. Each member was invited to a plan that he had first begun with Kurisa, many months ago, a guild, no, an organization. It had been something he had been long considering even before joining Infinity Wolves. Something truly unrestricted by political ideals solely focused on ensuring the future of humanity by maintaining what's truly important. So for now, Kon would be waiting until at least someone responded to his letter, or just simply came up to him to discuss the construct with him. It had certainly been a honeypot for the curious mind and Kon could certainly use some upcoming bright spark in his group. |

But the construct was interesting that was for sure."Whatever it is, seems rather interesting doesn't it?"It was a casual question so far just aloud to herself while she was walking casually about this strange thing, She would look around as she checks to see if there was some one around, who might know something or in general. She was not too far away but she was sure taking her sweet that, As there seemed to be no sign or reason to rush towards any part of this strange thing here. It was interesting to look at for now, maybe it was time to wait until things started showing what they where.

"Mother, are we almost there?", Charon questioned. "We are...", she simply spoke as Rhea stood close by them both. Her pink hair shined even in the darkest hour while her dark eyes gazed innocently towards their direction. "Can't wait to see our new home,~" she happily smiled as Charon has his normal grumpy look. She pointed towards the tower that was rather dramatically large. "That is where we will be staying," she told them both with a motherly smile before going back to her serious look. They were both excited, she knew, but she wanted to see how this meet-up will go first before giving the two children too much hope.
"Hello, Kon," she nodded as her arms crossed against her chest. She ignored the other person as she didn't want more information rattling in her own skull for the moment.

There was one that did intrigue more than all the newfound resources that would be at his disposal and that was Actually having colleagues he had been doing his own "Research" for so long by himself he was actually looking forward to picking the brain of other with "unique" perspective. A grind slowly crawled across his face "This so be a very interesting experience."
After wandering around the city for a few hours he started to get a bit discouraged about the date the letter said the meeting would occur. That was until he heard someone greet a "Kon" he recognized that name from the letter Kon was the so-called Guild master. It seems that some of the others who received letters had Prior experience dealing with the Guild Master that didn't bother Vaxias much its only logical to Invite people you have a prior acquaintance with. Vaxias thought figured this to be a good idea to get some data on what could be his new colleagues. He Open his Research and began Jotting down notes and measurements of everyone who looked to be a mage. Having these on hand would be very useful if they were to ever become relevant to his research.

It was supposed to be something new, something different from what they'd been part of before. Most importantly, it was something that would promise Atani the freedom she never got while being with the other guilds. Simply knowing that was enough to get her on board and respond to Kon's letter, at least to see what it was all about. Upon arriving to the floating building, however, she was surprised to see a host of new faces. The elf quietly stood off to the side and waited for Kon to begin. Just what sort people was he gathering?

She set out for Myras, with only vague ideas of what she was about to get herself into. Her mind raced with thoughts of opportunity, she had heard their were many artifacts in the south that were highly sought after. Still, she had followed Kon's instruction and slowly but surely, she too came upon the massive floating structure. "It is good to see you again, Kon." She  said politely, and greeted and introduced herself to the others she had yet to meet. "It is nice to meet the lot of you." She said as she otherwise ignored them and eyed the structure before the lot of them, taking in its full view.
"Where do you suppose it came from?" She had asked, and walked closer to inspect it herself, pulling out a diary and a pen as she began to take notes. She scribbled down details on the structure from her first impressions, then also silently began writing down her observations of the others that had gathered here today. "Why are we here, Kon?" She asked finally, turning a page in her journal and beginning to draw a quick sketch of this side of the structure. In time, she would likely create a map and blueprint of the entire building, if she were allowed to get inside.

The young woman had made her way toward Myras, idly wondering what type of reason Kon might have had for calling her out alongside others. "You think it might have something to do with the floating structure we saw from afar?" Osbornes mused softly, the slime queen's words making Esperia ponder if that had been truly the cause for Konyo to call them out here.
It was true that the world gave her a lot of knowledge, and that ancient ruins and civilizations had always been a point of interest to her, but was that truly everything there was to it? She doubted it... Nonetheless, she saw little reason to decline the invitation, especially since her wife deemed it fine to attend as well.
Yet the absence of her usual traveling methods did pull a number onto her, that much was evident in the fact that as she arrived at the crowd that had gathered near the building it was not a female human that greet the crowd, but a small blob of slime that bounced into view.
"I really miss my good old wyvern, or dimensional traveling, those boots aren't made for extended traveling..." The slime mused softly as she hopped around till she reached the crowd, and spotting Priscilla she happily bounced into the air toward her, transforming back into her human form to happily embrace her lover.
"Darling~ You could have at least waited for me~"
A playful peck on the werewolf's cheek was given after which she turned around to face the crowd. "Hey everyone~" a simple greeting, not particularly specific to ensure she didn't exclude anyone after which her gaze drifted upwards to the structure in the air.
"hmm~ I guess that building up in the air is part of the reason behind your invitation Kon?"
As she spoke Esperia pulled a small bottle of water from her pocket, opening it and taking a soft sip from it as she felt herself getting reenergized already after all the traveling.
"hmm, doesn't seem to be of any modern civilization's make, even 'that' one wouldn't likely be able to construct something of this nature, is it afloat by magical or technological methods?"
Idly musing about the structure up above she turned her gaze back toward the crowd as she heard Osbornes' chuckle in her mind, seems the slime queen was quite amused by her interest in ancient civilizations. "I do seem to notice a lack of quantity in terms of mana, a place like that would have required a massive generator of sorts to keep the building afloat, unless a barrier is masking it..."

But it was an idea that she liked. One maybe she could get behind for the most part."I mean free from politics is a good thing, At least in my books."But Esperia's musing on how the building work was a good thing so she would just get curious enough to simply just wait until they got in since it seemed to lead to that."Or Espy my dear, we could just wait and see what happens when we get inside."Which she would mention that."If we do anyway."She merely chuckled about it, So far Kon's idea seemed to interest her."After all, This all sounds interesting in theory to me."she then kind of just put one of her arms around Esperia and waited.

Karisa wondered how the guards and the people felt when they saw the famous woman dead with a peaceful face, nonetheless. It was more of a gift that she died like that as her illness was taking over. A motherly smirk escaped her lips as her gaze then moved to the others. She knew Esperia from Blue Pegasus, it has been awhile for sure. Once her eyes saw Atani, she wondered if it was the same from Lamia Scale. How funny that she sees an old comrade from many years ago. Although, she will only know her from another name, not Karisa, not within this body. Still, Karisa silently was there as she was in their lifetime schedule.

This prompted Vaxias to want to speak up he had been promised such things before but every time the personal wants and desires of others always seem to poison the group. I would actually like to speak up on the matter of an Organization free of children desperately trying to create a perfect world. I have been promised that stains in the past And they all seem to fall victim to the same stagnated ideology that they are trying to create a "better world". I'm not here to create a "better world" I'm here to to bestow upon the husks of the world the greatest gift one can hope for knowledge. Whether that knowledge saves one life or dooms billions is not my goal, my only goal is to make sure the well of knowledge never runs dry. Before we go any further I would like to know how many of you all can say your goal aligns with this?"
Fri Jul 01, 2022 12:42 pm
However, it was when the newcomer, Vaxias spoke up that the slime girl's gaze sharpened for a moment. "I'm afraid my pursuit for knowledge will never align with that." She shook her head firmly as she continued. "Do not get me wrong, the pursuit for knowledge and wisdom is as exciting as it is worthwhile, but just like power brings a responsibility, so does knowledge. We already have some people in Fiore who seek to destroy all of Earthland for their own desires, and you wish to multiply their numbers by blindly granting them knowledge?"
Yet Esperia couldn't help but feel somewhat offended at the notion the other guilds were called children. "Although their methods might leave a lot to be desired, at least they are attempting to improve things in their own way. To call back to the matter of responsibility, to possess all this knowledge, but being unwilling to take responsibility for it? It reminds me an awful lot of those beings religion worships as 'Gods', and in that regard... I'd rather be a naĂŻve child than a coward."
She sighed audibly, leaning sideways against Priscilla as she mused softly. "Then again, I would be surprised if you didn't expect such a response Kon~"
She turned her gaze toward the powerful mage and chimed softly. "Although I admire your desire to create an organization free from the political games and intrigues that plague the other guilds, and the desire of those within it to remain uninvolved in the affairs of others. It doesn't change the fact that I'm no longer the same woman from the days I spend alongside you in the syndicate. I am not naĂŻve enough to think I can create an utopia, but I have a family to take care of now. If I at least, don't try to prevent disasters like Odin Morningstar from destroying the peaceful existence my loved ones can experience now... I'd be a sad excuse of a wife~"
She chuckled briefly and mused out loud. "As much as my pursuit of knowledge is for my own satisfaction, it is also meant to serve as advice for those willing to listen. But in that regard, I guess you could say that I'm a 'child' trying to advice people on how to create a better world~"

Trying his best to overlook his personal interests, Kon went onto elaborate his intentions to somewhat restrict those that would seek to truly impact Earthland knowingly for the worst. “I may have misspoke when I mentioned remaining entirely apolitical, there are definitely figures within the community that I would not seek to benefit from whatever we have to offer.” Rubbing the back of his neck, Kon continued on as he looked with an intense gaze upon the building turning away from the group. “People like Odin and those he associates with whether it’s the Eternal Nightmare or any other, I do not wish to gain influence or power through our leniency as an organization, if that’s something you disagree with you can leave now.”
His ultimatum was definitive but he felt was done with good reason, they had proven to be against the wellbeing of society on a greater scale with their leader not once but many times siding against “the greater good.” Kon himself had not been a saint years prior to what he was proposing to do today, but his morals still held restraints he may have enslaved a large portion of the North as the Sentinel Syndicate Guild Master, but never done with intended malice nor to achieve lofty or villainous achievements or ends. For now though he had to consider just how they would bring the floating island down or get up there whichever was easiest. “Now if we’re done with ironing out these affairs for the time being, I’d like to discuss just how we were going to get into that.” Pointing at the building itself as he finished.

Finally, she stepped closer to the rest of them, this mass meeting of minds that would bring into fruition a rather wonderous change in the world. "Guild politics have never particularly been something I've cared much for. Guilds have too many rules and have to follow them to precisely for them to be an attractive sort of measure for a free spirit like me....I need a guild where I can have free reign to do my studies and experiments and not give a damn so much about whom will be rubbed the wrong way by the ethics of said studies." She paused and stared back to the structure. "It's beautiful, really... Yes, I think an organization of sorts might be a metter outfit for someone like me, that much at least I can get behind. I mean, it's not like I'm maliciously going out of my way to cause harm or anything, because I'm certainly not, but, someone like me has no place in say, Fairy Tail." She added, clicking her tongue.
"Ah, yes, forgive me though, I am Ikanbi, Ikanbi Liivuduntiz of Desierto." She said, more formally introducing herself to the rest of the gathering. "And your names?" She inquired, beginning to write in her journal again as the others conversed a bit. She took notes on each of them, and paid no mind to what they thought of it. It wasn't malicious, it's just who she was. "What do you intend to do with this...structure, Konyo? Have you been inside of it before? What's it like inside? I have a hobby of exploring ruins as it is, I'd very much like to peek inside at our earliest convenience." It was true, Ikanbi so loved to explore and learn about civilizations lost to the world. The longer she stared at the building, the more she wondered just where it came from, whom might have built it, whom might have enchanted it, and what purpose it had originally been meant to serve. "For all we know...it could be filled with monsters and traps designed to keep us out."

But if people were naming each other she would just simple rested her arm on Esperia's head for a moment."I am Valerie Ivalice, I use to go by Priscilla Ivalice for the longest time." She then poked Esperia on the cheek."This is my wife Esperia Ivalice."After that since that part was out of the way she had her own wonder to start dealing with. After all everyone was just standing here and talking, She wanted to know what was in side and they were getting no where at this time.
But she just would say this one thing entirely with the mention of the dull guild politics and what happens between them."Matters between other guilds is only seeming as boringly drool as ever."Then again she was selfish, unless it effected her, her wife or anything related she did not care a single bit at that time."But i am going to observe this structure."With that she stopped using Esperia as an arm rest kissed her forehead and just moved closer to the building that brought them all here, She would still listen but just seemed, not entirely interested in the conversation since there was things to learn here, That was most likely more important here to her.

The opinion to come from the young man with violet eyes was... interesting, to say the least. She couldn't say she agreed with his ideology. Though she didn't like to align herself with those who didn't care about the consequences of their actions, she couldn't say she was afraid of this man; despite his words, his aura did not seem to be threatening. The reply by the woman who Atani would later know to be Esperia brought a smile to her lips. A voice of reason. Given her initial impression, the fact that she mentioned the Syndicate was surprising. But again, she claimed to no longer be that same woman from before.
Of all the reasons, Ikanbi's most aligned with her own. "I'm with you," she concurred. "I've been with guilds before... none have really panned out. I've been looking for something more independent like this." She wished to be alongside like-minded individuals without having to adhere to the same rules and regulations imposed by the Fiorian government that light guilds had to follow.
"I'm Atani," she simply said to get introductions out of the way. Now, onto the matter of the giant floating island they were standing upon and the massive building that rested atop. She was surprised to know that Konyo hadn't managed to get inside, but perhaps that was intentional. A sort of test to see how well this new group could work together to get inside a place that so many other mages had failed to so much as approach.
"If it's monsters and traps, I feel a handful of us are more than capable of dealing with them." Herself and Konyo she knew were included in those numbers, and she doubted Kon would just call anyone up to this meeting. "My expertise is in runes, spirits, ancient magics of sorts... But this place looks to have a more modern feel to it. I don't know where it is safest to begin."

Vaxias makes his way over to her "Im sorry I was lost in thought while you were introducing yourself " He did his best to stifle his smile and he reached out his hand  "I am Vaxias, And I have a feeling we are going to be fantastic colleagues. Oh,  and I wouldn't call you a child Per see those with the most to lose usually produce the darkest ideas ". Slowly the existence of most of the others in the group melted away, which made him all the more thankful he wrote down their information beforehand he would have had trouble focusing on such details now with his mind racing with all the new possibilities that have just been opened up to him he decided this was enough reason to join this guild over all others. with not much left to do, he thought it best to go rest so we could pour over all the new data he had collected. Before he left he though it best to at least leave his new Colleagues with a good faith gesture. " I'll be taking my leave for now but if you would like transcripts of the data on your Physical usefulness to future projects I would be happy to share them with any of you, Of course, I have the same data transcripts for myself as well. May we all be useful to each other in life and death

They all seemed to have some sort of worry about the ruins before them as anything could be inside. She trusted Kon, to say the least so she wasn't afraid to go in. Even if there were things in there? She was sure they could handle it. Nothing, nor anyone was going to get in her way as she wanted to start right away. "Shall we begin, then?", she simply spoke before looking at Kon as everyone seemed to have agreed to join and begin their little discoveries. Once it was finished, she left with whomever to charge forward within the wakes of the ruins that were in front of them.

Then she simple walked over to Esperia and picked her up."Now then we going off to do something important I have planned."She merely left it at that as she took Esperia away because this was just how she was, Clear just with out details, But people would most likely see her again just when was a good question.

It was only until they mentioned him by name that he came to replaying with almost a whisper steadily increasing in volume as he continued. “I had a dream long ago, a floating object, One I misunderstood and manipulated to my own desires it turned into a nightmare for so many others that creation was the Sentinel Syndicate, a demented form of what I see before us.” Pointing towards what would become the foundations of the Collective Mind, Kon continued. “I intend to use this for the embetterment of society itself, all of us make mentions of wanting a place of our own and this will serve that purpose but so much more, there is something, I know, I can feel it, within those walls just calling out…” Wanting to contain himself before too much is revealed ahead of time, he returned his hand by his side. “As for what’s inside I do not know, but as I linger in front of it, I just know it will be a challenge something that will take time, for now forming the guild is the key to a new beginning.”
