Mishiko

The dream, the dream was too absolute to be fake. She stared at her face in front of the mirror as she had the water on. Her hands cupped some water that was pouring from the sink and splashed it upon her face. She had to wake up. She had to go on another trip to Joya, but this time. Would she even find a crew? Mishiko was by herself and everyone who knew her as Quilla thought she was dead. She sighed softly and then yawned while stretching. The water droplets fell against her arm and down to the ground. She was already dressed and now she had to leave to go find a place where someone could be. Someone that could take her and that had a boat. She didn't have a boat anymore. Nor does she have a crew. Slowly, she left her house and then started to go down the street.

She walked the streets of Hosenka as she was searching around for anyone who looked like they could sail a ship. Who? This afternoon, like about 5:00 PM at most, there were some people here. She didn't know any of the people she saw so far. The girl wondered how long she would have to wait till she found a group of people by boats. Not thinking about it at first, but then she went down to the docks to see if anyone was interested. She trod down the lane of the floors that were cemented. Once she got there, she saw a few people and went up to each one of them and asked if any of them could take her to Joya. All of them disagreed and told her no, and the reasons were all the same. They feared about what happened to the girl a week ago.

She was wondering if they were talking about her when she was killed on the street. She didn't want to say anything after that, so she just thanked them and moved on. One of the sailors told her before she left that there were a lot of people at the bar who were once travelers. Apparently, the girl who died was close to them. Another sailor responded to him saying how the people who were at the bar spat nonsense. How they traveled with the girl and the reason the girl died was that they were against slavery in Joya. She once again thanked them for their time and went to the bar as she got tired of asking around. Maybe the people they were talking about were at the bar and they could help her. Mishiko had no clue who these people were. When she got up the ramp in towards the street, she turned towards the right and right, right to the bar.

She said it. I opened the door and looked around to see that everyone was too busy drinking even to notice her. That's how she wanted it as she was looking around at everyone's faces. How big is the concern for seeing if she knew anyone here? This place was pretty big, so it was going to take a while, so she started to ask around finally. Not enough for all to hear? She asked anyone if they traveled to Joya or the far seas. Nobody answered her, so she kept asking around. Closer and closer, she was getting to the bartender's table. As soon as she was getting about 3 meters away from the bartender's table, she finally heard someone spouting out nonsense. It sounded like he was sobbing while drinking. She started to try to get up closer to where the voice was, to see who it was.

Was she really going to go over there towards the people who were shouting nonsense? She then saw the person had long white hair. The other person next to him had long brown hair with some golden details. His hair was unique and only one person she knew had that kind of hair. Akio? Could it be him? Her eyes slid a little bit to the left to see the white-haired man and wondered if that was Ayako. She looked away awkwardly and then looked toward them as she tried to get their attention. He turned around with a bottle in his hand, taking a drink before answering. He asked her what she needed. The one with the brown hair told him that she was the one asking about traveling to Joya a little bit ago. Ayako, gazing with those poor blue, Pure eyes was gazing at her with sorrow. "I don't think we can help you there..." he spoke with sorrow, turning away.

She asked both of them why they wouldn't take her. The one with the brown hair, Akio, started to explain while the other one drank themselves away. He started to explain that he had a friend die recently and she was very important to both of them. Sure, she was essential to the crew, but to both of them specifically, they fell extremely emotionally close to her. She probably didn't know how close she felt to them. She watched as he took another drink and then looked at her with his brown, earthy eyes. She wanted to tell them so bad that it was her. But she knew the consequences of doing so. What if they get hurt again? Ayako spoke up as he was slurring his words. He talked about how he has always wanted to tell her something, something that he will never get the chance to say again.

Akio apparently felt the same, as he also had things to say. She felt strings be pulled and set in her heart as she heard this. She wondered if he had feelings for her and if it was because she was herself and he was Ayako from her demigod life or was it perhaps the Ayako from the human life with feelings for her human old self?
