General Name: Melina Age: June 21 4th, X769 Gender: Female Sexuality: None. Ethnicity, Father: Fioran Ethnicity, Mother: Fioran Class: Sorcerer Race: Demi-Human (Arachnid) Rank: D-rank Guild:Blue Pegasus Tattoo: Back of the left shoulder. Face: Custom artwork-not applicable. Appearance Height: 2 metres Weight: 70 kgs Hair: Black Eyes: Blue Overall: She’s a Drider. From the waist down, there is not a single bit of humanity to her body. It’s all that of a spider. A large cephalothorax leads to an equally generously large abdomen, its full mass supported by eight surprisingly strong legs, possessed of a lot more muscle mass than one might expect from an arachnid body. Now, Melina’s inhuman parts are more akin to those of new world spiders, covered in a thick coating of fluffy hair. As a closing note, her lower arms are also covered in pitch black chitin, albeit devoid of hair unlike her lower body. As for the human part, most people tend to start with her general…mass when meeting but joking aside, that is a very reasonable place to start. Her form is possessed of broad shoulders, short curly hair and a generally rather butch aesthetic. This extends to her clothing as well, for they typically consist of short sleeved buttoned up shirts and jackets of various materials, typically in blacks and navy blues. She does also wear a large apron like sash, finding it the only one she can really protect her dignity. Undergarments are…difficult to wear when you lack a humanoid form. Extra: She has eight eyes and though the art may not reflect it, she does have chitin covering her arms. Personality Personality: Lazy. Very very lazy. Melina likes to sleep, lie in and lounge about. She rarely gets up before noon and even then, typically spends most of her days just lounging around. Were it not for the fact she needed jewels to pay her bills, she’d spend most of her days just goofing about, be it sleeping, eating, reading books or lounging about atop people’s rooftops like the little gremlin she is because yes, Melina is very much that friend. The one who can be a right little gremlin of a girl sometime. Melina is very…whimsical. She’s unpredictable, playful and a right flirt. She rarely, if ever, takes anything seriously, often just wanting to sit back and enjoy life. It’s honestly why Melina having such a…responsible side to her can be so very jarring. It rarely comes out mind you but it is there. Anyway, to refocus on the central point, Melina’s just honestly a bit of a gremlin. She’s very much the epitome of “damn girl, you live like this?” Now, what’s her biggest vice? She’s a total sucker for a cute face and an attractive body. She is a completely and utterly shameless bisexual disaster. She’s often down bad for a lot of people, probably what attracts her to Blue Pegasus, and will very often pick out somebody to latch onto for a few hours. Loneliness is something Melina is far far too used to and as a result she can be a little…clingy, to the point where she can be a little bit possessive. This possessive nature, not to the extent of paranoia or violence mind you, is a dangerous combination with how she doesn’t really…care much for personal space. She’ll intrude on it, wrap her arms around you, grip you with her legs and hold you close. Sure she understands the logic behind why many people don’t like it but….she doesn’t really empathise with said logic. This applies to a lot of things really… Ah but what motivates Melina? Truly? Honestly? She’s not thought that far ahead. She’s only twenty three after all and is currently still merely a student. As such she's not really decided what to do with her future. Currently she’s just enjoying her youth, deciding on her future, figuring out her place in the world hiding insecurities under a egotistical amount of borderline narcissistic self-confidence. A simple thing maybe but…very in place for one so young. This lack of motivation, or should I say her drive to decide on her future, is as much a result of her being in those early years of adulthood as much as it is her childhood. She and her sisters lost their guardian at an early age and sort of had to band together to help raise each other. This had a rather big impact in one key way: they didn’t exactly have much time to fit in socially and for Melina especially, this had the knock on effect of her never exactly learning where she fit in among the world. It’s part of why if you asked her what she wants to do with her life, she’ll pause and struggle to give you any sort of answer. Likes:

Time’s toll is to thank for such a thing but one fact is clear: They have had both a mastery over the shadows as well as the abilities of their forms. Crafting items from shadows, the production of webbing, walking on walls, bites that can taint your very soul with darkness to weaken you from within, not to mention chains, small blades and other other physical objects, as well as the ability to walk through darkness. Not teleport mind you but walk into one patch and then out of another. Finally, of course, manipulating objects created from darkness remotely. A lot of the magic is mostly tied to supplementary effects, one that can give you an edge but rarely do any direct damage. It’s definitely something that requires a bit of…creativity to squeeze the most out of it. It does also have the ability to perform some raw damage spells mind you, but the vast majority of this magic’s arsenal is supplementary things hence the aforementioned need for a bit of creativity. History History: Great heroes growing from humble origins. Grand evils moulded by the gutter. Many of the famous and infamous come from backgrounds such as those but that is not this. Melina’s not possessed of any grand destiny, dramatic origins or any special future. Like the vast majority of Fiore’s people, she was born to a simple home life with parents and siblings. Well, one parent in fact. Father left for milk and never returned but she had mom and two older sisters, then a young sister in fact. Sadly, complications in birth shattered the happy family and made things…difficult. It was fortunate then that Melina’s elder siblings were well, the elders. They were young adults in their own right and proved more than capable of raising their younger siblings. Things became easier the older the younger sisters became, with Melina going through school, even being her younger sister Elizabeth’s go to helper during this period of schooling. Of course (if you ignore the absence of their parents) it was not all smooth sailing, sunshine and rainbows. They had…difficulties. One such example would be how, at age fifteen as part of a school trip during the summer, Melina was attacked by a shark at a beach. It mistook her for a seal yes but attacked she was , almost losing a leg, and even though she survived, she’s been…unnerved by the oceans ever since. Now, we skip to age twenty three. She had been a graduate from school for a long time now and had mostly just been bouncing around jobs, working seasonally and trying to save up for a house of her own. Of course! Moving out was a difficult thing indeed, especially if you were young and with no stable career, but then the young girl made a decision: She would become a tailor. It made sense really. She had always been deft with needle and thread, both fixing and making clothing for her siblings throughout the years, so why not put that to work? However, there were a few complications: Firstly, how to keep a roof over her head? All the sisters did need to pool their incomes to keep things afloat and secondly, who would actually take Melina in as a student? It took her two years to actually find someone who’d take her on as a student. Two years of creating garments after garments, of practice and refinement, of showing what she could do, before somebody was willing to take her on. That was one problem solved. The second? A job that she could part time, which she could fit around her apprenticeship, and could pick up and drop easily. Well, there was only one place she could really…fit around that: Blue Pegasus. The only guild in her city, one Melina had actually visited a few times in the past and even had a little bit of magical aptitude herself, as well as her teacher being a former magi themselves.
