Yuurei

Yuurei and Renji were back here again. It was a place where he could escape from the North for a very short time. It was also a place where islanders knew him and treated him like he was one of them. He would be looking at the job board as he was trying to figure out what to do today. He went through the list and he would find something interesting. It would seem like there was a bunch of sailors that needed help with catching a huge monstrous catch fish in the water. He was intrigued by this and he couldn’t wait to see what it would look like. Renji was curious as well as he saw his partner take it.

The two of them would walk away from the board and everyone else who was looking through it. They were on their way to their destination as it would seem like it was the same spot as always.

Yuurei and Renji were walking through the sand of the beach together. Renji was walking with his friend and he wondered what was going to happen today. It was something different every time they took this job, but for some reason, he felt like he has seen it all. Yuurei was wearing his beach attire as he figured that he could change his outfit into anything he wanted whenever the weather needed changing.

“So Yuurei, what do you plan on doing with the North? You had a strong Angelic being come to the guild, so what’s the plan on that? They seem like they could enter anywhere they please.” He asked him waiting for an answer.

Yuurei would keep walking as he was thinking about what he had said.

“I don’t know man. I figured I just get stronger and prepare myself for the worst. That angel was no joke. Still, I ascended because of him and I plan on surprising them next time.” He said this to Renji as they were marching to the pier where every Fishman and sailor worked in.

Renji would think about what he meant by this. He didn’t see Yuurei’s transformation in a while, so he wasn’t sure what e was talking about. It wasn’t just that, but he felt something different from his friend. It was as if he had hidden his true form. He wasn’t sure what it was, but he would see it one day. The two of them kept moving through the sand and soon enough they would enter dry and stern land. The Seraphim would smile as he stretched his arms into the air before waving at everyone who was greeting him.

Renji would do the same as he couldn’t wait to crush the sea monster they would clash with today. The two of them kept moving through the place as they were looking for a specific ship. The ones they saw were cool, but they weren’t the ones that they were going to get on board.

“I can’t wait to be able to help you against monsters like this one Yuurei. I still feel like I’m lacking something, but I don’t know what it is. You don’t even use my bag anymore, so I don’t bring it along.” He said to Yuurei since it was the truth.

Yuurei would hear him and he would nod as he felt bad for Renji. His friend would be able to get them more jewels and get the job faster, but something he did was no longer needed since Yuurei had the ability to hold his stuff in his pocket dimension. They would keep walking through the piers as they would greet a bunch of people. It wouldn’t take long, but they would find the ship that they were looking for. It was huge and beautiful, which was something he wished he had. If he had a ship, he would go on weird and amazing adventures. Still, he could do that regardless, it was just nice to have a ship and make it a pirate ship.

When they got to the ship they would look up at it and wonder if there were people on board.

“Hey, are there people on board?! We’re here because we took the job you guys posted up!” He shouted out loud so they could hear him.

Yuurei would wait as he was waiting for someone to show up and someone would do that. Renji would tilt his head as he was waiting to see what they had to say. Their potential client would look at the two of them and he was surprised to see that it was one person and a talking cat. That was when he noticed that these weren’t just any regular duos. He knew of Yuurei as he was gifted the honors to be called one of them. He would wave at him with a huge smile on his face.

“Hey Yuurei! You can come up here whenever you are ready. We’re ready to go whenever you get on the ship!” He shouted to him as he would push off the rails and go to make sure that everyone was ready to pull the anchor, and open the masts.

Yuurei would hear this and he would nod. The two of them would make their way to the deck of the ship and they would see that everyone was looking at them.

Yuurei was glad to see that they were all looking at him as he would give a huge smile and waved at them.

“Alright I’m ready whenever you guys are then.” He said as the two of them would look at everything around them.

They would wave back and when the captain heard his words he would shout at them. They would nod as they had done what they were supposed to do and soon enough the ship would make its way away from the port and to the sea. Yuurei wondered what was going to happen, but the breeze and feeling of being out here were amazing.

He would move to the starboard of the ship as he was looking to see if the creature would show up. When they got far, something changed, the clouds started to pile up on each other and it got dark. He would shake his head because he didn’t expect this to happen. It was then a storm would begin and rain would come falling toward them.

It would seem like this was going to be interesting and he could feel the ship rocking hard back and forth. The storm seemed to have affected the sea that they were traversing. He made sure to hold onto something as he didn’t want to fall overboard. He would be focused though as he was waiting to see if he could spot the creature. Renji would make his way to the middle of the ship as he didn’t have the same energy and strength as Yuurei. He would see the men working hard to make sure that nothing happened while they were sailing.

The captain was giving orders and helping out as well it seemed, which was a good thing. Yuurei would feel all the rain and he would shake his head as the water flew right off him. His eyes squinted a bit as he would see a shadow in the water. It would seem like they found their target.

Yuurei was about to speak up and say something, but it would seem like their scout had beaten him to it. He had a smile on his face as it would seem like they had a bunch of experts on board. That was good to know as he would see that they took swift action on what to do right now. The Seraphim would jump onto the ledge and he would take off into the air. The sailors on the ship would be surprised by what he had done, but it was too late to say anything. Renji would be left behind and he figured that he would say something to them.

“The fight shouldn’t take long and Yuurei doesn’t need anybody’s help! You guys can just manage the ship and make sure nothing bad happens to it!” He told them as if they would understand what he said and got back to work.

Yuurei would make his way to the catfish and he would wait to see what would happen. His bow would appear in his hand as he was getting ready for what came next.

The sea monster would notice something was above him. It was what Yuurei wanted and it would come out of the ocean. It took a grand leap as it was trying to swallow Yuurei whole. He would see this and he would shake his head as he would dodge the attack without a problem. He would pull the bowstring and he would let go as a magical arrow would be shot at the monstrous catfish it would shake and hit the seawater. He would look at it and it would seem like it was still kicking, which meant that he would have to give it another hit.

The hunter moved around the water as he was following his prey. He had figured if he stood in the water for too long, then he would attack him with a different attack. The storm was presented already, so it wasn’t like he would be creating this mess for the people on the ship.

Yuurei wouldn’t waste time as he would pull his string once again and he would shoot it into the air. Once he had done that he would shake his head as he knew this was over. Thunder would come down into the water as it would land a hit on the fish under it. The creature would stop moving as it would come to the surface. The Seraphim would see this as he would go to it, grabbing it and then pulling it to the ship. They saw all of this happen and were surprised by what he had done. Still, the job was done, and they would be getting paid later.

They would secure the catch and Yuurei would land on the deck without a problem. The sailors would turn the ship around and they would make their way back to the ports. When they got there, the weather would clear up and Yuurei and Renji would be rewarded for their hard and quick work. Yuurei would take the reward and the two of them would be on their way to do another job.
