Yuurei had heard about a particular island within Earthland. He had been learning more about the countries within this world. There were indeed a lot of them, but one of them had piqued his interest. This one was technologically more advanced than most places within Fiore. It intrigued him and finally learning that he had come from a blacksmith family, he figured that he could gather materials from them. He wasn’t sure if they would allow him to do so, but that was when he heard that something bad was happening to the island.

It seemed like a disease was spreading through the people there. The Seraphim figured that he would take advantage of this chaos. It made sense for him to do so something like this if he wanted to get stronger and advance his crafting. The hunter decided not to go alone as he figured that Brone might want some of these materials as well. His friend was the reason why he was able to start his training to become a blacksmith. He must say though he was getting the hang of it, and he wasn’t sure if it was because of his family lineage or because he just found it enjoyable.

Renji was also with him as the Exceed moved around the place they would see the huge artifact that was standing tall. It would seem like that was what they were going to be taking a part in. This was going to take quite some time, which he figured was fine.

“How long do you think it will take to get everything we need Yuu?” He asked him curious to hear what he had to say.

Yuurei would look at Renji as he was inching closer to the beautiful creation. He would brush his hair back as he had a smirk on his face.

“It is going to take quite some time, Renji. Still, we will take what we need until Talaz Lagaar finds out what we’re doing. We will make sure that Paradise Dawn is the strongest guild to fear.” He said this as he was excited about this.

Renji looked at Yuurei as he was surprised that his friend spoke like that. The Devil within Yuurei was spewing out of him, and the young man had to contain himself. It would seem like that thing fed off his greed or excitement.



When they got to the artifact, Zero, Yuurei would have a face mask, to make sure that they didn’t get sick. The Seraphim would wait for Brone before he had gone too far, but he was starting to take parts from the artifact and place it in his dimension.

Still, his invitation had gone to Brone and Kaito, and he was sure at least one of them would make it.

Kaito looks at the invite that Yuurei had sent him about going in and looking for relics in some place. He not being one to pass up on some dungeon diving or a good look or search for relics of times passed sounds like a decently goo time to Kaito who was going to go and help with this search for relics and others things that might tickle his fancy as maybe he might find something useful or fun for himself and he wasn't going to pass it up as it sounds fun and like he might be able to learn about a new place while seeing new and strange things that he wouldn't see other wise if he was to pass up on seeing it here and now. Kaito made his way to the meeting point and he always wore a mask so he hadn't any issues with the air or the feelings of the place but that was probably because with his magic he is not really all there in this dimension doesn't stop him from being hurt but he was of course part of a bigger thing than he might appear.

Revy was walking at Kaito's side as she had a special mask that Kaito had made for her as she was going to be effected a lot by this area or so Kaito was worried about and she felt like something wasn't right and that they were going to need to pull back or something as there was danger here but she couldn't put her finger on it and she really didn't know what Yuurei must be planning to invite them to such a place as this place looked a bit spooky if she was going to be honest and she still smiled as Kaito looked excited to go diving for relics and to learn things about this strange place. They walk up on Yuurei as he says "We will make sure that Paradise Dawn is the strongest guild to fear.” Kaito blinks and he wonders if he should say something about that as that sounded like it was sorta out of character for Yuurei but he also knows Yuurei has a lot of things on his shoulders.

He decided that he will speak to Yuurei. "Hello and what is this about making people fear your guild ?" His voice was lighter and more playful as he was not sure that the angel man would really want to cause that much harm to the people just those that sought to harm the people but Kaito also knows that something had hit Yuurei back when they were fighting the vampires so something more might be a foot here as well if Yuurei hadn't already dealt with that trouble. Kaito goes back to looking excited as he was going to do his best to make the most of this little visit to this strange place for shiny relics or things that may in the end be more useful to him or the group if anyone else was coming.

When Brone Heavyaxe was extended an invitation to Talaz Lagaar, he gathered his gear and packed several cloths into a backpack. Initially, Gnicholas didn't want to go, though hesitant, but after walking into the dwarf's room to see how ill prepared he was, he decided to join him in order to prevent his death.

"The hell ye mean?" Brone questioned with an attitude, flexing his muscles in an attempt to insinuate he wouldn't lose a simple fight.

"There is a plague, idiot" the gnome said as he tossed the dwarf a plague-mask. He began explaining that there has been word of such a disease that is within Talaz Lagaar that lacked a cure, as far as anyone knew so far, which would kill the dwarf if he wasn't prepared. Brone shrugged and simply packed the mask with his clothing. Gnicholas ended up joining him, not because he worried him, but because he believed Brone was an idiot and would either get himself killed or bring the plague to the North when the neighboring countries have been doing what they can to prevent the plague's spread.

Brone and Gnicholas went to the front of the guild hall and mounted Geri the tempest wolf. Benimaru joined them for the thrill of the adventure and to witness the possible death of the last Starlight, though when he said that outloud, Brone, nor Gnicholas could tell if he was joking or not.

Once they had ridden their way to a cargo ship making it's way to Talaz Lagaar, Gnicholas had to explain to Brone that it was too dangerous for Geri and the ravens to join them, so they had to send them back. So the boat sailed off with Brone, Gnicholas and Benimaru, heading to the island of the Future.

Upon arrival, Brone was amazed to see the structures of the city, and happy to be away from the open sea, though he was annoyed that the gnome kept reminding him to keep his mask on even though he hadn't attempted to remove it once, "I'm not a child" the dwarf pointed out. He and the gnome were protected with their masks, but for Benimaru, given that he was simply a ghost possessing a shield and sword, he didn't need a mask, so he would chuckle throughout the trip.

Once they arrived at the base of Zero, Brone awed at the structure, "It's amazing" he marveled.

"It's a mockery to human life" the gnome stated; he had read of the island and the hubris of it's scientists.

"Though it would be better scrapped, probably has good material" the dwarf's awe died out.

"The artwork is amazing though" the gnome began to admire the structure, not on the same page as the dwarf.

"Good to see you, Starlight" Benimaru's ghostly voice whispered into Yuurei's ear. Brone finally pulled himself away from the sight of the large humanoid structure to greet Yuurei and Kaito, excited to see his friends, though it had taken him a moment to recognize them since they all wore masks.

Yuurei would hear the incoming voice, and he would look over at Kaito. He would laugh when he heard his friend’s words but that wasn’t the case.

“Yeah, I said it. But what I mean by that is the evil guilds who dare to hurt the innocent people of Fiore. I’m pretty sure you could have interpreted that.” He said to Kaito with a smile on his face.

Renji would look over to Revy with a smile on his face. They had not seen each other in a while, but he had looked different than he did the last time. He would make his way to her with the mask on as he got to her.

“How you been Revy.” He said to her with a smile behind the mask.

Yuurei would see Brone would arrive with his companions. The knowledgeable gnome and the creepy possessed weapon seemed to have come from his family. He felt the sword and shield getting close to him, and he would look at him as he heard him whispering to him.

“It’s good to see you too Benimaru. Do you have a problem with me?” He asked him wondering what he would say.

He would look over to his friends and he would clap his hands as it was time. They were going to take some parts from Zero, and hopefully, it wouldn’t wake up. It wasn’t just that, but he was hoping that they didn’t get caught doing this.

“Alright guys, we have a lot of advanced technology in front of us. I was hoping we could get some stuff and then later on if you guys want I can craft some stuff for you. I got really good at crafting and wanted to show you guys my skills.” He paused for a second as he would turn to look at Zero.

“Be on your toes when taking what you want and what you need. We aren’t supposed to be here, so we might get into a fight at any time.” He said to his friends as he would start moving around.

Yuurei would start moving around the machinery as he was trying to figure out what looked best for him. The Seraphim would smile as he would find some pieces and he would pull them out. He had made sure that he didn’t damage any of the parts and he would look at it up to the sky. This was perfect and he would put it into his pocket dimension before looking around for more.

Renji was looking around the place. He was hoping that everything would go smoothly, but knowing how things rolled in their world it probably wouldn’t. The Exceed would find some stuff that he could give Yuurei to use. He was a builder of toys, so he knew what could be useful; it would seem like everybody here was good at building something here.

“If someone sees us, and knows who we are, do you think they would try to stop us?” He asked everybody to hear what they had to say.

Revy looks at the strange exceed that walked up to her and she rubbed her chin. "Who are you? Being with Yuurei I would say Renji but you look nothing like my friend…" she was unsure if this was Renji some how but she could not be sure of that as Renji was an orange exceed that was rounder looking this one did not look like that so had Renji bitten the dust and Yuurei gave him a new body? She was left to wonder as they were heading to get down to business here in zero and Yuurei saying they were not to be here made her wonder if what they were doing was against the law then she remembers that Kaito already ruin dives so he probably already does it illegally though not sure who would really care that he does it.

Kaito hears that they could be attacked and the man rubs his chin and wonders who would want to face a angel, a near demi-god human and a dwarf that could cleave them in half like a butcher cutting through a frozen rack of meats. Kaito had been on the receiving end of those axes that Brone carried and he doesn’t envy anyone that would dare to come close to that man as Brone is fun but the man loves him a good fight. Kaito thinks to himself that if they were to be attacked the weakest link of the team is himself so he will need to keep that in mind if it does come to that. Hearing the new Renji speak and ask that question, Kaito looks to the creature and he smirks. "That depends on how well they will be paid to try and stop us but I would think that they will come up short if they tried." Kaito wondered if that might have been too cocky of an answer back to the cat like creature.

Kaito walked over and he found a nice spot, Kaito pulls tools in from a portal and he hands some to Revy who gets to work with them making sure to take her time and to not damage the pieces as these things were well makes and easy enough to take apart and give enough room for her nimble hands to safely remove them. Kaito looks at the pieces he found and he wonders if there is really a lot that he can do with them and he wonders what kind of things that Yuurei will be able to do with them and what could be made of these bits and pieces. He also wonders what happened to Yuurei’s Exceed but he doesn’t see fit to ask as it was none of his business what might have happened to them.

"Think we will find any fancy robot things we might be able to revive or turn to our side?" The question had left Kaito’s mouth before he could stop it as that was probably not a smart thing to as as he is unsure what is sentient and what is not in this area and he wonders what might really be hidden here for them to find.

"No problem at all, Starlight" Benimaru slowly replied to the half-elf as he chuckled deeply while floating away from him.

It was time to begin the salvaging operation. Renji had questioned the possibility of being confronted for stealing the equipment and Kaito replied with a statement that made Brone laugh, "I would commend them for attempting" he said as he began to inspect the base of the structure, feeling the metal and touching the exposed wiring from a specific area.

Gnicholas wanted to add to the conversation, but decided not to speak, feeling as if his own statement would fall on deaf ears. Indeed, Yuurei, Kaito, and Brone were powerful to the point they could even rival demi-gods, but there were ways to harm someone without using force or even magic, for example, even if someone would fail at arresting either of them, word would spread throughout the island of the thievery and if word would spread back home, then a situation can erupt where politics can get involved which would lead to two nations conflicting with one another. The gnome figured if he even began trying to explain politics, the dwarf would turn a deaf ear as he usually did whenever they tried speaking about social situations.

Brone wasn't sure what the wiring was connected to or what it did, but the body of metal was very sturdy and a good portion of it was flat, which could be used for numerous things, so he attempted to pull off a good portion of the surface, which could be used as an entire table at the mess hall.

"That's well too attached, you won't be able to remove it" Gnicholas said as he walked up to the dwarf casually.

"Oh yeah?" Brone pulled out his black axe, Dhuraindarin and gave the gnome a smile before he began to slice parts of the surface so that he could remove the panel with ease. To the gnome's surprise, the dwarf was able to make precise cuts without ruining the acquired metal or the remaining metal. With the black axe, it didn't matter how dense the metal was, for the legendary weapon was made by the dwarven god himself... or at least that was what Brone said; Gnicholas chalked it up to powerful magic, but it did come in handy when it comes to severing things.

"Worry not, Brone, I will be at your side if enemies arrives to halt our... expedition" Benimaru's deep slow voice sent a shiver up the dwarf's spine as the ghostly shield and sword floated by him.

"Thanks, Beni" Brone replied halfheartedly. Though they have been together or a bit of time now, but even then, the dwarf couldn't get a proper read on Benimaru, unsure if he was up to something, like planning the death of Yuurei because his clan was the reason to why he was sealed into the equipment he spoke from... or if he was just naturally creepy.

Renji would hear Revy speak to him; it would seem like she didn’t see the Renji in him, which made him sad. He knew he looked different, but there was nothing he could do. That light that hit him had burned his fur to a crisp. He had changed his form at the same time, but he had managed to live and get the power that he needed to help Yuurei in his future adventures.

“I am Renji, Revy. It’s just that some stuff happened when you guys left the North.” He said to her as he was hoping that she would believe him.

While he was working, he did make sure that he was near the Seraphim the entire time. The fact that Yuurei had said that there could be someone lurking around here made him not want to get hurt in any way. It would seem like Benimaru was really weird, and he wondered why all of a sudden the weapon-like creature started talking.

The hunter would hear Brone’s words and he would nod in agreement with his friend. His head turned to Kaito’s words, and he would laugh as if he wasn’t wrong. He knew Kaito wasn’t a big fighter, but even then his powers were useful in combat.

“Yeah, I do feel bad for the chump who does show up.” He said to Kaito as he continued working.

Yuurei would continue working on gathering things around Zero. This thing was huge and it was something they couldn’t just pillage within one day. They would need to come here several times to get an excessive amount from this thing. He wondered what person who wasn’t from this island would approach them. This place was unaffiliated with any countries, so doing anything wrong here, wouldn’t affect how they are looked at back home.

Yuurei saw it like this, as long as they aren’t killing anybody who he deemed innocent, then there was no foul play. Yuurei would see that his friend was next to him, and he would smile at Renji and he would pat him on the head. Renji would allow it as it felt good to get that done.

“I wondered what we could do with all of these things, Renji.” He said to him as he continued to take things from Zero and into his dimension.

Renji would think about Yuurei’s words as he was trying to figure out what they could make. It would be cool for his friend to make something so powerful, that the evil guilds wouldn’t dare make a move on him, the North, or the guild.

“I don’t know, but if you’re getting better at creating things, then I could only wonder what you will be able to create.” He said to Yuurei as he would continue working.

He would look over to Revy as he was hoping that she would speak to him or believe him at least. The Exceed was stronger now as he would pull another piece of metal materials out before handing them over to Yuurei, so he could put them away.

Revy looked at Renji and she nodded as she guessed she had heard and seen stranger things while on their travels with Kaito and their ruin and temple diving looking for those dumb pages that took them to many strange places and she was willing to accept that he was still him and let that lay there. "I guess that is fine just good that you are alive and safe then, sorry for not knowing that you were you." She wondered if that weird feeling she had was her own death soon approaching for herself as she knows that she didn't know if she was okay or not. She made sure to stay close to Kaito as he moved heavy things for her to inspect the places that Kaito got her too and he hoped that she was okay as she had seemed down and Kaito was not sure what he could do to help that.

Kaito looks closer at the beat up monument and he sees something craved into it and he rubs his hand on it and he wonders what it says and if it was some kind of warning as he was not worried about it as he was already cursed. Kaito can't read it so he just moves on with Revy and he hears the Dwarf and the Seraphim keep talking along with the Dwarf's companions and Kaito is wondering if that floating sword and shield was kind of blood hungry or not but Kaito guessed he had no room to judge the thing as he, had his own darkness that gnawed at his own mind and his own soul that darkened him from time to time so he had no stones that he could throw as Revy taps his to stop and let her have a closer look and she used the tools that Kaito had handed her and she gets out a few odd shaped pieces and she smiled as these looked nice and they had very little wear on them and she showed Kaito.

Kaito wondered what they were and what they could do but this means that they can make something that is for sure but what kind of things could this strange metal make as it seemed to have a near eerie feeling to them that he couldn't place but if it was a protected area you would think that someone would have stopped them or would have had it barred off but there had been no safe guards there to show that this was a place of no entry but he knows that he couldn't really feel bad as he was taught adventure comes first and rather it is good or bad if you can get away from it then it means that you are fine. So if they did get in some kind of trouble for it then Kaito would just deal with it as this was a fun adventure and he was enjoying himself as he was doing it so he need not worry now. He puts the pieces into his personal domain to keep them safe and sound.

Brone had removed the large panel and placed it to the side while he continued to scavenge the interior for parts, "Can ye make heads or tails of any of this?" Brone asked the gnome as he entered what seemed like a compartment with different metallic shapes and wires that ran throughout like blood vessels.

"I'm not an engineer, Brone, all this is alien to me" Gnicholas said as he entered the compartment behind the dwarf, inspecting anything that his hand could touch, "But from what I could tell, with all these parts, the monument could have been either a highly detailed metal sculpture, or a working machine" The sound of metal breaking drew the gnome's attention to the dwarf who was chopping away at bulks of metal with his axe. The gnome wanted to call him a barbarian for his savagery, but he hesitant, figuring Brone would probably hear it as a compliment.

A few large pieces of metal and wiring, each the size of the dwarf's torso, was thrown out of the compartment and onto the floor by the large metal panel. Brone couldn't tell what the original intended function of the metal pieces he was salvaging, or of the large metallic monument as a whole, but he knew he could melt down the metal and use it for weapons, armor, and even to reinforce the guild's foundation. He could already tell that the metal was sturdier than iron, so he may even use it in either of the forges.

"Not going to assist us in any way, Beni?" Gnicholas asked the spirit as he he rolled a metallic wheel out of the compartment to place with the other salvageables.

"You have my full support... go team" Benimaru replied, lacking enthusiasm. The gnome sighed and returned back to the compartment to help the dwarf. He spotted Brone deep within the compartment, though it seemed more like a metal hallway, staring up with awe. When Gnicholas reached him, he took a look at what was drawing the dwarf's attention; there were gaps between the metal, enough to be able to see for possible a mile up the interior of the statue. Now both Brone and Gnicholas began to wonder of the true intention of the creation; maybe it was a robot that was to be programed for war. Regardless of the reasoning, the dwarf and gnome continued to carve and cut out metal they deemed fit or useful before tossing them to the gathering pile.

"I believe we should wrap this up soon before we are spotted; take what you can get and let's bring the rest to Kaito and Yuurei since they both have dimensional magic, they might be able to store this stuff" The gnome said before he walked away, already done with his work.

"Aye" Brone said with an annoyed sigh. He knew Gnicholas was right; despite what Yuurei and Kaito mentioned earlier, even though they could handle probably anything the island could throw at them, drawing attention to them wouldn't be favorable. So he began to gathering the remaining selection metal and began to make his way back.

Yuurei would see that they had gathered a few things that belonged to this machine. He wondered what it had done before it had become immobile. It made him wonder what this thing was about to do before it fell here. He would look at it and he figured that he would use it for his future items.

“You will serve the three of us well. You can truly rest in peace like you’ve been all these years probably.” He said to the machine.

Renji would take apart whatever was in front of him as he would stumbled backward and looked over to Yuurei with a smile on his face.

“More stuff to take home, Yuu.” He said this as he would hear Yuurei’s words.

He would rub the back of his head as he looked at Zero and then wondered what damage this had done.

“If we continue to pillage this thing, then it will never get up I think. So, I’m glad we don’t have to see what it is truly capable of doing.” He said to Yuurei.

The Seraphim would look at him and he would nod as he could only imagine destruction coming from this thing. Still, he would continue to collect machine parts from this thing. He would take whatever Renji had given him and he would put it into his weapon dimension. Yuurei could only imagine what kind of things he could make with it.

“Alright I think we took enough from this place for today. If we stay any longer somebody might show up. As much as I like a good fight, I don’t want to fight over this. If we do then it’s just going to be stupid and bad for whoever tries to stop us.” He said as he was trying to wrap this up.

Renji would hear him and he would climb onto his shoulder and he would look around the area to make sure that there wasn’t anybody around here. He figured Yuurei could sense them if they were close enough.

“We should check out this island as well. I know it would be weird since there is a disease going around, but we might as well check this place so we know the ins and outs of Talaz Lagaar.” He said to the group.

Yuurei would nod as he didn’t mind doing that later on today. He figured Brone would join him, but he was never too sure about Kaito. If he joined them that would be cool. He looked over to Brone, or at least where he was last.

“Hey, Brone, we’re going. If you want you can put your collection in my dimension.” he said to him as he was waiting for a response.

After Brone would hand him an answer, Yuurei would make his way away from Zero and to possibly a different part of Talaz Lagaar. Renji would continue to keep his eyes open just in case someone would follow them.

The Seraphim hoped that they would follow him because he didn’t want to go exploring alone.

Kaito feels a strange tension in the air was something wrong or had he done something wrong but he doesn't have the time to be second guessing himself as there is a lot to clean up and take with them as Kaito makes sure to be gentle with the pieces he is taking while Revy as found her own footing as she gets some longer pieces and Kaito leaves a portal open to throw things in and he wonders if there was a reason this place seemed so rich in materials and if there was a possible way that they could get through this with a decent sized take as he felt the way he was doing it was a bit too slow and he could just take giant pieces of this thing but Kaito also knows if he does that he runs the risk of it blowing up in his face and him having to face the wrath of the others so he was not going to do that.

Revy gets some panels opened and she gets into it and gets more glowing like pieces that seemed almost like they had a heart beat and that kind of scared her as she was not sure what they were doing was right anymore and she looked over at Kaito who seemed happy and enjoying himself as he stuck his head in and around the thing they were taking pieces out of and he was looking to be closely examining the pieces that he was taking and he wondered what he could make out of these special metals that seemed like they were infused with some kind of strange or ancient magic as he puts them into the portal to keep them safe and sound and then he starts climbing down from where he was and he waits for Revy to be done and he catches her as she falls down into his arms and he smiles then he looks to the others and he realized that Brone had been chopping it like it was a tree and he was collecting it like it was wood and bark and Kaito wonders if that is a good thing to be doing.

Kaito noticed that the gnome that was near Brone seemed very displeased as it watched the dwarf chop into it and he guessed that the gnome might know something but Kaito was not on those kind of friendly terms to question the gnome on what they might know so he walked toward where Yuurei was and he followed the man out of this place so they stayed in numbers and plus traveling alone was boring and it is just better to travel in a group and have friends to talk to.

As they were walking back to where Yuurei and Kaito were, Brone looked up at the large metallic statue and wondered what was it's original purpose.

"I suppose we'll never know" Benimaru said as he was floating by the dwarf. Brone wondered if the spirit was reading his mind some how.

"Unfortunately, but fortunately we won't have to deal with it" Gnicholas said while making a little chuckle. Brone didn't understand what the gnome meant and found it weird he spoke in contradiction, but Benimaru understood; as a curious being, the gnome would love to know more about the giant, but there are possibilities that the machine could be used for great harm, so such things are better off as they are now.

"What is or could be doesn't matter, for what does matter is that we got enough material for great possible creations" Brone said cheerfully as he carried the metallic plate with the debris on top of it that he collected. They spotted Yuurei who was kind enough to offer his dimensional space, "I need to learn some here-and-there magic" he said realizing he was the only one of the Big 3 that had yet learned such a skill.

"You're able to stow weapons away into a pocket dimension, isn't that good enough?" Gnicholas asked.

"That's not the same thing, because I can only stow two weapons" Brone pouted. The gnome had then offered to go to the library with him to study dimensional magic theory, but hearing that, the dwarf figured it wasn't worth learning such a complicated subject; the gnome laughed, expecting such an answer.

Brone handed his findings to Yuurei and once everyone managed to pack up, they made the way. The dwarf looked about, witnessing the metallic city, wondering how could such a city be made of purely metal, at some points, he even spotted several buildings made of glass, which reminded the dwarf of a children's story he had heard long ago about a city deep within the mountain that was filled with stalagmites of stone, metal, and crystal; this city wasn't too far off, but the gnome brushed it off, simply chalking it up to science, but the dwarf argued back that it was developed through magic. As the two of them went back and forth on the argument, Benimaru watched them bicker and got enjoyment out of it.

They had a bit of time while on the island before the next boat was scheduled to leave, so Brone figured it wouldn't be entirely a bad idea to explore the island and trying to discover anything they could since he doubted they would return anytime soon and surprisingly enough, Gnicholas agreed with the dwarf.
