Kaito

Kaito looks at the listings once again and he has been requested to take on another healing and helping of the people mission and Revy had still not returned to him so he was once again all on his own and he can feel the darkness in his heart grow and he can feel the chaos in his heart and his mind and he wondered if he really should help these people and if he helped was he really helping them or was he just killing them faster than they were already dying. Kaito sighed and he headed the way that the request had told him as if it helps even a little it was going to be more important than his doubts about if they were valid concerns or not. He couldn't let it go and if they died and he had ignored it then Revy once she returns will give him a long winded lecture that he will deserve as he can't prove anything.

Kaito

Kaito enters the building that was marked on the map with the request and he looks around the place looked dead and empty but he went deeper into the building and he hears crying and people begging and pleading for the testing to stop and Kaito soon sees them. Some of the people he was seeing were people that had been treated at the places that he had helped to treat and most of them seemed like the "cure had mutated them and had some unforeseen side effects that the team hadn't seen coming. Kaito was not surprised by this as what they were doing hadn't seemed right and now he was seeing the effects their "cure" was having on people and he knows that there are more people than he and the teams he had been on had treated so it meant that more people had been doing this and had also added to these numbers and they don't even know what they had done.

Kaito makes it to the landing at the bottom and the scientists see him and they call him over and they look at him as they were confused why nothing had happened to him and how he looks like he was normal but he was human right just like these ones and they look him over and they can tell that he wasn't human or at least not fully human he was different and something was wrong with him but they couldn't tell that till one of them touched his skin and then fell over side ways twitching and sweating and heaving like they were being choked. Kaito wasn't going to be another play thing for them, but he was going to help them as they seemed to be trying to fix this side effect that had mutated the people they were treating and Kaito gets the new "cure" and made portals to make it easier for them to poke at the mutated people with out being harmed by them.

Kaito looked at there board of numbers and ways to solve it and he blinks and he follows the numbers and the things that they say and what they should do but he feels like there was something wrong with it as if something was missing or was erased from the board rather on accident or with a cause Kaito picks up one of the chalk pieces and he added what he thought should be there to cure the mutating and return them to normal. He knows now the "cure" doesn't work but it worked to suppress the issues that the sickness caused by mutating cells but in humans who seem to be highly adaptable it worked too well. Kaito points them too it and one of them rubbed their chin and got what he was meaning. seemed the fix to this was human side only and that means that human and demi-humans need a different version of the stuff.

Kaito sits back and he watched as they got hard at work to make the new version to inject them with to mutate them back to normal and it stick to keep suppressing the symptoms with out making them into unholy monsters. They give Kaito the new stuff and without warning him open up the cages holding them and now Kaito has to watch out so he doesn't get harmed and that he doesn't harm them as he tries to help them but they weren't all there clearly as they were all warped into something that was more of a monster than it was a well mannered thinking person and part of that might also have to do with them blaming him as an outsider and not really being able to disprove this as he had helped with them handing it out and he had helped them treat some of these poor people who were now broken shells of what they use to be.

Kaito grabbed the pack that had the new "cures" in it and he used his magic to weave around them and he stuck them with the needles and he really wished that right now Revy was with him to help but he knows that this was on him and him alone as Revy wasn't going to just show up and help him he was in too deep and he was not being able to make any head way by blaming his misfortune or that he was alone. Kaito made sure that the "cure" in the needles got into them and then portaling the treated ones to a safer place so they would not get harmed by the ones that were still rampaging in this room and there was a lot of things that needed to be handled as swiftly as they can but Kaito knows that he is still only one person verses a hoard of mutated humans.

Kaito keeps himself moving as he will probably only get limited chances at this and if he misses or doesn't get clean hits then it means less people can be healed back to their normal appearance and not the mutated ones that they had been forced to take on from the "cure" that he and others had been giving out to them and he makes sure that he keeps that in his mind as he tried to make sure that don't kill him as well as this was going to come down to the wire and this might get ugly as Kaito gets a few more out as they started to lose their mutated looks and Kaito landed wrong and he is off balance and this was where he heard the voice in side of himself yell at him to dodge left and he did so just barely getting missed by a giant clubbed arm.

Kaito threw a needle into the arm which turned back to a normal arm and they were sent away by Kaito as he breathed in and out as he was tired and from using his magic as he had been and making sure that he was hitting it with as much accurateness as he can to make sure he doesn't hurt them, the numbers had lessened so Kaito could pull back on his magic usage as he run forward and he hit the last few with them needles healing them and them returning to normal and Kaito tended to their wounds as they returned to their human appearances with no memories of what had happened to them and the ones that Kaito had sent away had been sent to places they could be watched over and healed if they had any wounds. Kaito looked at the scientists who all backed up after leaving his payment on the table which Kaito took and he lead the last of them out of the place helping them to get back to home.
